Re: The positive impact ~

When life as you know it changes, new industries pop up and filled the void. That's something that people should realize so that they won't feel so helpless about the future of the world.

Sure many will lose their jobs, but others will gain. For society it's a net win.

I don't think that it's just holders, just that we need to develop, create more places that accept Bitcoin. I could buy certain stuff with Bitcoin, but Amazon is more convenient.

Bill Gate overtook Jeff, but I'm disappointed to see that he slipped back to 2nd place. It's that technically he should be the richest, but he donated so many millions. Sad to see the Facebook founder as number 5.

Whether we land on the moon or not, it's one of those things where if we did, you're still going to have a bunch of people convinced that we didn't. Just because that's their personality.

I think the future might be solid for Bitcoin in particular. I read a few day ago that AT&T is now accepting Bitcoins. It's just a matter of time for others to catch up.

cryptopia.co.nz, the proceedings will be long.

There are too many speculation going on with cryptopia hack issues.

I think New Zealand Laws will surely prevail on this matter since Cryptopia is a regulated exchange by NZ Laws,

Lets just hope they won't file bankruptcy or else this issues will be drag for years.

What happened to cryptopia?

I just checked, can't log on. Hopefully I don't much of anything in there.

Re: why people selling below ICO price and the future of ico ?
by
MairaObergh
on 16/08/2018, 05:12:02 UTC
Maybe the got in the ICO with a bonus and so it's not so much of a loss. But nontheless, I think doing that is too risky. I read the other day something about a study that found that something like 90% of ICOs are scams, so maybe it's just the devs smiling in your face while they dump. Don't trust ICOs people.

Most people are here to make money. This wasn't the case back in 2011, when the majority of people were into it because of the technology, possibility of decentralized money, but what can you do? The majority of the world in interested in making money. Just like a lion in interesting in eating.

My advise would be that after you developed a plan, based on established ideas, do not steer away from it. Unfortunately if you're new to trading you most likely will, and learn your lesson as a result. You might put more money into one coin than you should because you just have a feeling, and then lose a large percentage because of it. It always happens.

Re: Where does the "will" come?
by
MairaObergh
on 09/08/2018, 02:10:40 UTC
Will comes from frustrations and failures. When one becomes determined not to lose or make the same mistake that cost them in the past. If you remove those factors, say you were born filthy rich, but much more than that super cuddled, without a care in the world, then that will will be less than a person who has had a lot of adversity.

Re: Politicians fear cryptocurrency because it will stop corruption.
by

Politicians don't fear crypto, because there's nothing to fear, and if there ever was, it would be probably long after they are dead. Like with everything politicians do things for votes. So if they come against cryptos, it would be to put enough fear into you to make you vote for them, so that they can protect you.

Anyway, I haven't seen many politicians talking about Bitcoin.

Where do we post our guesses? I know it's not here because we can't post address on bitcointalk.

So it's important for everyone reading this not to post your privcy address on this thread. That needs to be made clear, since you know how strict the mods are.

Re: How useful is bounty programs to the overall success of icos?
by
MairaObergh
on 26/07/2018, 04:23:34 UTC
Some of the major projects out there don't even have a Bitcointalk ANN thread. They don't feel it's important, and it's one less point of annoyance for them. Having to fight with people who say, "I didn't get my bounty."

And these projects raise tens of millions of dollars without them.

So if a coin has that potential, I think it's best for them to forgo a bounty campaign. Especially since the reality of the matter is that it just creates "spam" for bitcointalk.

I hope everyone here is in vain panicking. Perhaps the team has not disappeared anywhere, but is simply working on a project? The price certainly is not happy at this time.

Personally I do think that they are working hard on the project. Just the vibe that I get from the main dev. But for the community sake, pop up here even once a month. That would go a long way. Imagine twice a  week instead of once a month.

The housing market in China is plummeting, because of the cheaply built houses in the ghost cities. Two, three year old building literally crumbling down in what supposed to be great location. So you can buy and tear the house down, rebuild and sell.

That's too much work for me though, I would have to go to China.

Re: How to Choose a Good ICO
by
MairaObergh
on 17/07/2018, 06:03:12 UTC
When thinking of joining an ICO you have to first look at the team. If they have no history in the crypto community, been involved with other coins, then I'll just wait for the exchange. If they do, I looke at how much dedication they put into their previous coin. That simplifies the process for me, and can garantee it's not a scam.

by

if i have bought btc at 6-7k then suddenly it goes up to 11k, surely i will sell it right away. market is very unpredictable tomorrow may not be the same. when you feel that you gain from your investment sell it right away do jot wait the price to move backward again. that was happening to many trader because they want to have more they hold coin. but at the end it goes down.. they lower their profit.

I wish I felt this way back in January. Instead I held not ever considering that it will crash.
