Todays news actually, funny that. If all Chinese exchanges are on the brink of closing as many in here believe, why are they being added to the foundation board?

Looking at the order book on bitstamp, price should go higher in the short term (in the long term I am sure that by the end of the year, price will get to a level of at least 2.000 USD).
But coming back to today's situation: there are 5.327 BTC to be sold, and on the other side they are 6.231 BTC to be purchased. This basically means that at this moment the sell orders CAN NOT cover the buy orders within the same range, so price will have to increase.
The demand for BTC is 15% higher than the offer => price will increase in the short run.

This is part picture, order book is small part
Order book is showing the same range on both sides (the picture I was looking at went +/- 45 USD on both direction). So it means that compared to the current price, they are 5237 BTC available in the +45 USD range, while the demand in the same range is 6231 BTC.

Do our miners get screwed in these cases, or does it all come out in the wash after the attacks?
Well I noticed that my GPU's disconnected a few times, so that is basically lost mining time we aren't going to get back.
Other then that not a big deal.

i agree, the autosell feature was the worst thing cryptsy implemented
Negative side of autosell for sellers - if buyers agree themselves to lower buying price to @xx at the same moment, they just eat cheap coins. Please, let me know next time when it will be and exact price level, thank you.that feature never list the order in the order book...so you will never know about it happening until your order is being filled.....and the orders a are filled in bits....so it is good for the pool miners but very bad for new coins and traders
But whole cryptsy is a mystery as I did not find anything about orders book, how trades are executed and so on. Every day I learn somethink new, thank you.

yes as we are no longer profitable we should see an easement on the number of sells..

Its still profitable. Just some are more profitable than others.
I started to mine various coins and yes, they are all profitable besides few one. I do not think that publicity of exact numbers would be beneficial.

lol am not sure if your a supporter or not.. pretty sure ur last post said u went and sold @25 so i guess you have some buy orders in place at a lower lvl.. but 19-15 shows some good resistance so its doubtful it will get lower than 15.. If it does it.. could fall to 11 in a blink..
What would i do.. Buy from 15 all the way to 10 if i could..

Just to take it a little bit further.. 1MH/S give about 65000 LOT (24hr) period. Approx 2,708 LOT per hour.
Now these numbers below are coming from my ass so dont take it seriously..
Current Avg hash rate of middle coin: 11,330 MH/s = 30,681,640 LOT for 1 hour
Estimate hash rate of Hashcows: 1000 Mh/s = 2,708,000 Lot for 1 hour
Current Avg hash rate of Tompool : 155Mh/s = 419,740 per hour
So thats pretty much what we can expect as dump.. if a multipool were to operate on lot for 1 hour.
*EDIT* hash cows has problems finding blocks so i would discount them for now till they get a fix on their issue..

OK i lost 0.3 BTC through doing stupid things trying to gain BTC with Quarkcoins.
Will go back into LOT and hold.
Stopping daytrading now and just hold.
Like this coin. Much potential. And right now at the beginning of the journey where nobody knows where it will end.

Not really sure what i did...
I sold 400k Lot at 21 and then bought back at 19..
Then sold at 18 and placed a buy order at 16.. unfortunately it dint dip that far..
But on the second round.. i used what i earn from above two trades and bought 200k LOT at 20 and then placed a sell order at 23.. it sold..
and i wanted to sleep so i did something strange.. i bought back 200k at 23 (still scratching my head on this) and placed a sell at 26 which was the highest 24hr avg.. and then slept.. woke up.. it sold..
So i placed a buy back order at 22.. that went through.. and headed of too work..
Individually my trades were good.. As a running account.. its a bit of a mess.. am not sure if i should consider having sold 200K of my stake at 36
oh and too further complicate things a friend asked me to trade 200k of his lot.. so i sold 100k at 25 and bought back at 22.. still hold another 100k which basically sold at 22 and has a rebuy order for 19..
So i have to outstanding buys...
100k at 19
400k at 16
Hmm.. so any advice on trading strategies?
