Hello,  first thank you for nvoc i run it for 3 months now.

But I go 2 problem: first one is I have not enough space in the HDD, but I don't understand it's a 3TB hard drive...

Second problem: when i install nvoc in a USB key or hard-drive,  if I want to format it (for update or other usage) it's don't working,  and the device become unusable.

Apologize for my bad English and again,  thank you!

6x1060 gtx - problem with GPU CLOCK
by

on 25/05/2017, 20:30:12 UTC
Hello,
I don't know why but i have 2 GPUs who won't go in "boost" mod, look at the pic:

https://tof.cx/images/2017/05/25/637b897ef2792627b91b191847897ce7.jpg
that gpu is under in term of gpu clock...

https://tof.cx/images/2017/05/25/07c600ade84fd1376888c97bbdf41e83.jpg
this one is ok.

someone have an idea ? i'm missing like 10-15% of performance for the GPU...

these gpu who won't boost seem to be hotter than the others GPUs, don't know why but they have 5°c more than the other (it is not a placement issue).

Thanks!

hi, 4 days ago i buy a KFA2 GTX 1070 8GB, i get 420sol/s on zcash yesturday, and today i only have 60sol/s...

i check in afterburner, i get only 139mhz gpu clock instea of 1750+.
i remove the gpu of my rig to test it on my main computer and i have the same problem, so it's really about the GPU.
i try to update gpu bios but it does nothing, please help me!

edit: change the bios seem to move the clock to another value, but the gpu stand in idle.

Do I need to avoid some models ?

If we don't care about resell Price, with my actual market Price i get:

1060 6gb ~ 315sol/s for 225€ (1,4 ratio)
1070 ~ 420sol/s for 350€ (1,2 ratio)
For 1080 and 1080 ti, it's too much expensive for me.

I don't know about wattpower, but I take average stats.

Someone know the eth hashrate of a 1060 6gb ?

Hi, i'm actually choosing GPU for my Rig, i have 2 options in mind:

Mining eth - 4 x 480 8gb
mining zcash - 4 x 1060 6gb (a bit more profit than 480 with ETH on coinwarz)

But i never see a 1060 mining rig, why ?

(apologize for my english)

there are a lot of ppl having a GTX 1060 RIG, just look better  Grin i sold both of my 1060 and switched completely to 10 x 1070.
In my opinion 1070 has a better resale value and can also mine ETH pretty fine (not that important, since ETH will go PoS sooner or later).
But it depends mainly on your budget and deals you can get for the GPU in your area. For example i was buying 1070 @ 330€ per piece and 1060 6GB was like 270 €, so an easy decision for me.

I'm from EU too (france), i can get  1070 for 360€ and 1060 6gb for 225€ for the cheapest models (http://www.kfa2.com/kfa2/graphics-card/10-series/kfa2-geforce-gtx-1060-oc-6gb.html)
In term of profit it's better to take 1060 with my price.

what is your Sol/s with 1070 ? and what was with 1060 ?

Thank you!

edit: can get ASUS 1070 for 350€ on ebay.
