Hello to everyone from the op,

Never would have figured this thread would go live again.

Unfortunately I have sold the coins which I held since 2014 just before the pump, at @70 cents... talk about bad luck.
I invested half in Sys Coin and half in Florin Coin.

Hopefully they will start growing and take away some of my sorrow...  Angry

Griffith, what are you working on right now?

Some weeks ago I asked you about the integration on other exchanges, and you said the next few weeks, but I see nothing of it around here.

Also, the coin seems pretty dead on CE even though the wallet is up.

Man every single speculation of yours went great,

This time I followed too.

Invested like $75 in Syscoin.
Hopefully this gets good.

Thank you for your effort!

Hello Griffith,

Thanks for the hard work you've done.

I have one question regarding the coin now that the wallet is up and running:

When will ECC be proposed for new, more popular/bigger exchanges?
Do you have a plan regarding that matter?

we will be working on getting added on more exchanges in the next few weeks yes.

That is truly a great piece of news, now that the wallet is on!
Thanks!

Announcement

ECC v0.2.5.2 wallet daemon has been completed and code released on the github. https://github.com/Greg-Griffith/ECCoin/releases/tag/v0.2.5.2

BEFORE YOU UPDATE PLEASE BACK UP YOUR WALLET.DAT FILE TO SOMEWHERE SAFE

Website
---------------
The new website specifically for ecc will be going live today as part of an initiative to clear up the confusion about the difference between CryptoUnited and ECC.
http://Https://ecc.network will be live within 24 hours and contain all of the download links for all of the wallets by the end of Monday 9/11/17 (docker for OSX + docker instructions might take longer)
There is no more bootstrap for the new wallet. it will take longer to download a bootstrap than it would be to sync the block headers.

ChangeLog:  https://github.com/Greg-Griffith/ECCoin/blob/master/release-notes/0.2.5.2.md
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Higher restructions prevent PoW blocks from being mined after block 1504000 after someone figured out how to mine PoW blocks again in July of 2017.
- Core upgrade from bitcoin 0.7.6 to bitcoin 0.12.1
- PoS system checking for a valid stake kernel hash completely reworked
- Syncing is now done by headers rather than blocks
- Other various small bugfixes and improvements

Known Bugs
-----------------------
- There might be an issue for some users with the wallet.dat files requiring a newer version of E-Currency Coin daemon. This can be fixed by starting the wallet with forceupgradewallet=1 set in the config file. There might also be a bug where a users balance does not show all of the coins in their wallet, this can be fixed by adding zapwallettxes=1 to the config file before starting the wallet. Neither of the previous config changes should be left in for more than 1 wallet restart.
- There is an issue with the wallet.dat thinking it is corrupted due to a bad file in the database folder. It has been reported that this can be fixed by deleting the database folder and restarting the wallet.

For those using OSX
The wallet will be available through docker

I know if you have ever heard me talk about apple/OSX, You know i hate it. However, some of the community does use it and we (the devs/sys-admins working on ECC, myself included) are going to do our best to provide an easy way to run the wallet on OSX without forcing people to run a virutal machine or change operating systems.

We will accomplish this through the use of docker. Bless that magical whale and a special thank you to altj for making the container.

With the dockerfile we will also put out instructions in a text document and an install script for OSX users. This should allow OSX users to be able to run the wallet on their computers with the same gui as everyone else without having to change anything about their systems (except installing the docker dmg). Support will be provided to those who get stuck doing the OSX specific setup so dont worry if you dont really understand what docker is. Everything will be fully documented.

We will be moving towards an OSX build again in the future that doesnt rely on docker, but for now this is an easier way for us to get those people using OSX up and running upon release without possible week long delays.

As always feel free to ask for support in the #support channel in slack if you need it.

it is unprofessional to give a release date

In the Hobby world, you live in maybe,

In the Real world , deadlines are made and completed in time.

The Doctor that finishes your operation before you bleed to death.
The Journalist that gets the story in so it can be aired on time.
The sixth grader that turns in his homework the next day.

A deadline is a goal, not setting goals to have a task completed , usually infers it never will be.
I do believe that one day your wallet will be working again, but to be honest , the longer it takes the less anyone may care.

And just to put things in perspective, it was an update from the dev that broke everything.
It was all working before his last update.

I doubt anyone of you , get your car worked on , and when you ask the mechanic when it will be ready,
and the mechanic replies it is unproffesional to give you a time as we probably won't have it ready by then.
Which means you can't make future plans , because you have no information to plan from.

A professional , knows his craft well enough to set a date and meet it.

╥Aztek

In the programming world, giving deadlines is much harder than in every domain you posted up there.
Why? Because the complexity of the problems that may show up are way over the current state of the human brain's capacity of prediction.
In Agile development, for example, there is Kanban, a method of working. This is based on doing as much as you can, but not exactly predict when it is done.
Also, it also adds if they work on the project part time.

Again, prediction can be done, but not precisely, and people might have other matters on their heads...

Nobody gives you any warranty, don't buy if you don't trust, just stop flaming.

Crypto market obviously moves together but is it really bitcoin leading or does bitcoin fall because people cash out of alts, the line gets blurrier by the day I feel.

I think the first option is much more obvious, it's very improbable for people to cash out from every other coin at the same time BTC goes down...

Sell wall big as fck, does it smell like a dump?

LOL --- big as fck?  You clearly haven't been monitoring the prices ---- it was climbing much higher sell walls (2-7 BTC every 0.00000001 ) over the past two days to get up to 0.0000005.

At 50 SAT, there was a 50+ BTC sell wall and a whale has been coming in at times to put up some roadblocks and sway the price for a short time.

The coin went up 3000+% in 5 days ---- did you really think any pullbacks & consolidations would never happen?

I will not contradict you, I have also invested some bucks in this coin and i've only been trying to check others' opinions on this.
The fact that it was premined with 500M coins from the ex-developer made me unsettle for a bit.

Then again, I didn't monitor the prices, nor i do know alot about trading, i'm just beginning to get a glimpse of what trading means. I needed reassurance ^_^'.
Thanks

It was around 0.4$ when i first posted this.

Now it's at ~0.90$.

Also, the market cap went high since May, how far do you think this will go?

EDIT:
Also, this post found on their blog seems promising:

Vertcoin started growing lately, most likely due to its segwit integration.
Any thoughts on how far it should go?

I must mention that I have held some coins since Jan 14, then I lost the 7 USD hype, because I was disappointed and newb and I abandoned it...
I would really like to sell them at the best moment this time ^_^'

Thanks for your advices Smiley
