Some good deals on selling LTC for USD on vircurex

Why would I use Vircurex for trading dollars I hear you ask? Well, you can flog quickly devaluing LTC for a better rate than into BTC right now, hold your dollars, and wait for BTC to correct. Or whatever, do what you want. I don't know what will happen, know that there's some generous offers here right now https://vircurex.com/orders?alt=usd&base=ltc

Apologies moderators if this isn't appropriate but it feels like the only relevant thread. Anyone looking to flog LTC for a decent price right now, there's some generous buy orders at 2.35usd https://vircurex.com/orders?alt=usd&base=ltc

Re: 2013-04-27 Bitcoin: the Berlin streets where you can shop with virtual money
Just making clean-up easier when some mod-action is occurring. Please double-check before posting.
On a positive note. We should call out the stellar work being done in the Guardian comment section by 'letsallbeniceshallwe'. Step forward and receive bitcoin tips...
Sorry about that. I did check but for some reason I missed Mike Hearn's post when I put this up. Apologies again.
OTOH, Cruxfilm used a different title for his post.
Also I see now that The 4ner has also posted this (but again without using the correct title of the piece) so it is now referenced in glorious quadruplicate.
To avoid duplicate posting, it is essential that people use the original piece title rather than a paraphrase or some other quotation from within the piece.
I love you guys, you pedantic lot, you

Re: Can anyone list all the Bitcoin/Alt-coin Exchanges?
For the time being, any Mt.Gox assault by either/and US/Japanese authorities WILL pose a major setback to BTC. As long as it lasts, I know, but IT WILL. There is simply NO way ordinary people are going to adopt BTC when exchanges are either unreliable, filing fraudulent bank enrollment forms, closing after some months, etc. etc.
One thing is for sure, we'll know how much control government's can exercise over the future of bitcoin.
When this news broke last night we were in the midst of a little correction, about 115 to 100ish. But as it was being discussed and until now, the price has stablised with a positive bias.
This is a great event for BTC as it will display exactly how much 'they' cannot fuck with 'us'
I hope I will never sell BTC for FIAT. I'm in for the long run. BTC is one of my source of hope for a better future, if it fails I'll feel much happier being part of that failure than being part of a FIAT success.

Re: Why does everyone keep calling this panic a bubble?
I believe we are experiencing a technological problem and not an economic one. If you think gox is doing any of this on purpose you'd have to be joking. Incompetent ... it seems. But if bitcoin continued on an upward price trajectory gox would be firmly planted in the seat of a new multi billion or trillion dollar market. Do you think they would jeopardize that to make some quick cash by somehow driving the price down?
I'm more swayed towards Quantplus' argument here actually there needs to be some transparency and democracy in the actions of the exchanges otherwise who is to say he is actually wrong? You can't just believe in the best intentions if gox as they control so much interest

BTC-e "support" scammer
by

As I write this I feel quite sick.
Got scammed for most of my BTC last week by some prick on Skype with the user name btc-e.support.eu They mugged me into sending coins "to increase traffic" on the site and receive a bonus in return.
I know I'm fucking stupid but it was a moment of weakness, and my common sense gland was overcome by greed.
Don't let the same happen to you.
Trust no one

Re: [EDU] How to spot a scammer (Read this before doing any transactions!)
BTC-e offered me a first time buyer offer whereby I sent them 8btc to an address on the promise of getting 10btc back for helping to improve traffic. I was talking via sykpe to "btc-e.support @ europe" and sent the coin last Weds (5 days ago). I checked my address at the time on blockchain but there was no confirmations there, it's only just occurred to me this might be a scam
Have I been complete tool? Has anyone else experienced this offer/heard of anyone else having done so?
Man I feel sick...
"btc-e.support @ europe" is not a username. What was the Skype username?
btc-e.support.eu
the address is sent to was 1AdvcxSNdxdbRLquZdr9R2F29j7qAJRMY
