Re: Can Bitcoin help to balance salaries across the world?
by

In a nutshell, with bitcoin being the medium of payment the location of a writer in USA won't be enough reason to earn higher than another writer in Africa.

that would work in a world where everything is equal. The point is that a freelancer in africa would be happy with for example 1000 usd for a month of work, and someone in the usa or europe would not do anything for that amount of money, bacause it wont be enough to make a living. And freelancers will compete on price. Years ago we had a job posted on some freelance site. First an offer of 3k from the usa, than 1.5k from GB, and then more and more offers from india, ending @ 400 or something.

At the moment I do not think we should all have the same salary because in every area the cost of living is different. If you live in San Francisco or NYC you cannot pay rent with 2000$, while in some countries rent would be only 250$ a month. Same with health care, food, etc.

Re: Do you think cryptos will replace fiat?

If crypto ever replaces fiat, I think it's more likely to be a government-issued version of crypto, rather than the decentralized coins we currenyly know. Governments aren't going to give up control over monetary policy that easily.

not that weird, crypto is not a valid payment method. A truckload of new tvs are also worth money, but also cannot be used as a proof of funds (I guess, maybe I am wrong Smiley)

just sell it, show the amount of fiat, get approved, and buy it back

There should be system what's keep buying all the panic sellers orders so Because of panic sellers other holders don't suffering.

Love this idea! Imagine a system that swoops in and buys everything from panic sellers - not just in crypto, but in all markets. We could have it for real estate, cars, stocks, etc! No more market crashes, no more stress.

There's just one little problem... who's going to pay for all the panic buying?

If this were true, every one of us would have a mining rig set up. 1.5k electricity + 30k rig is a nice investment to get 100k every x weeks?

The story is probably 1500 spent on electricity made 100,000 tokens, worth 10k us?

Personally, I love the futuristic design of the Cybertruck. But it is way too big (and illegal I think) in Europe.

What is the crypto part of this? Just pay btc to a broker who goes to a notary to sign the title? Especially when you have your own projects, and not resales where maybe trust is involved?

And never get into crypto investing if someone randomly contacts you via whatsapp (so-called fake number) and slowly talks you into some kind of investment plan. Chances of losing your money are 100%.

Re: World is about collapse If fed don't lower rates

This kind of thoughts tends to pop up during times of economic uncertainty. While you think that we're on the brink of a major financial collapse, I don't necessarily agree with that conclusion. While rising rates can put pressure on markets and banks, it's not the first time the economy has faced such challenges.

As for stablecoins and crypto being a "last rock" to stand on, while cryptocurrencies have their value and can serve as an alternative to traditional finance, they're still highly volatile and speculative.

it's important to stay informed, but don't get caught up in fear-based predictions

Anything is possible! While BTC has the first mover advantage, ETH has its own strengths, especially with its smart contract capabilities and the massive ecosystem being built on top of it.

Will it overtake BTC? Hard to say, but in the crypto space, unexpected things happen all the time. I wouldn't rule anything out!

Re: Is The election worth the hype for BTC
by
MarbCoin
on 11/09/2024, 09:09:13 UTC
There is always speculation about how major political events will affect financial markets, including bitcoin (BTC). While it is possible that the election will cause some short-term volatility, I believe that any impact on the value of BTC will be minimal and temporary.

Historically, we have seen bitcoin react to uncertainty in global markets, and elections can certainly create moments of unpredictability. However, the value of BTC is largely driven by global demand, macroeconomic factors and adoption rather than specific political outcomes in any given country.

After elections, there may be a brief period where BTC experiences small fluctuations as markets process the results. However, Bitcoin tends to stabilize quickly after such events.

It is just a form of very expensive advertising.

If a celeb promotes a certain shampoo, do you buy it? Or feel more confident about that brand?

Re: Bull Or Bear Market which is most preferable to you?

During a bull market, people and investors generally feel more optimistic and upbeat. It's as if there are no limits - confidence is high and everything seems to be going up. Prices are rising, and this positive energy can be contagious. During a Bear, people are more scared, and dont spent their money and in general is a less happy time. So I prefer a bull market Cheesy
