XSN - StakeNet

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/stakenet/

This coin has privacy planned on the roadmap for 2018, but it's not just a privacy coin.

With StakeNet, you can cold storage stake your coins from a ledger device (as soon as it's integrated, which Ledger is working on btw, check their roadmap). This feature is called: TPOS
- Trustless Proof Of Stake.

You can read more about the project here: https://cointelegraph.com/press-releases/cold-storage-staking-xsn-coin

StakeNet is also a masternode coin, but that's not even the best part. They will run staking as a service on StakeNet.io

With this service, users will be able to stake their coins 24/7 on the website, or through merchants who chooses to stake other peoples coins in return for a commission both parties agrees upon. The merchant does NOT have access to the users coins, he can only stake them through a shared key (acts like a bridge between you).

The masternode network will take care of Atomic swaps later this year, the plan is to create a DEX (Decentralized Exchange), fees from that goes to the masternode owners.

Cross Chain Proof Of Stake (CCPOS) is on the roadmap as well, which will be freaking awesome once implemented.

Best part? This project only have a 25 million marketcap. It's INSANELY undervalued, it's almost criminal.

Hey there. I copied all the faq from their discord here Smiley. Enjoy reading Smiley

FAQ

1.) When are masternodes expected to come out?
 Masternodes are live.

2.) Which exchange is XSN getting on?
Devs can’t talk about exchanges, nor speculate on price.

3.) How much for a Masternode?
15,000 XSN per.

4.) What do I need to do for the swap?
Follow the instructions listed on the page https://xsncoin.io/swap/

5.) When does the swap end?
 May 1st on xsncoin.io

6.) What is the swap rate?
1:1

7.) How are the rewards distributed for Masternodes and staking?
45% Masternodes - 45% Staking - 10% Treasury

8.) Where’s the Github?
https://github.com/X9Developers/XSN/

9.) I heard someone talking about a whale club, what’s that?
If you have 100k XSN you can join the whale club on Discord.

10.) Where can I found more info on Mastersnodes, RSB, and TPoS?
Link to the white papers: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3213013.0

11.) Say I leave my computer running, and I hit an orphan block. Does the wallet STOP staking because of this?
No, it will continue staking.

12.)  It seems I've lost a portion of my total balance, yet I see no outgoing transactions. How do I fix this?
If there is a ? mark that stays in the transactions tab, that means its an orphan block - simply didn't get accepted. Just right click on it and select 'abandon transaction' to free the funds set aside that attempted to stake that block.

13.) Is there going to be a bounty list?
Yes, we have a confirmed list of bounties with a specified budget to be released.

14.) How much will dividends be after the swap to the new coin?
Dividends will be replaced with RSB (Revolving Stake Bonus) on the new chain. Check out the whitepaper and read this article for more info:  https://medium.com/poswallet-weekly/rsb-rewards-creating-new-models-for-business-2cccfe258572

15.) What is the link to Discord?
Discord invite link: https://discord.gg/cyF5yCA

16.) How long does it take to start receiving rewards from my masternode?
It takes 2.6*(total active MN count) minutes for your MN to start getting rewards, since activation.

17.)  After the swap, where can we keep our coins? Can we transfer our new tokens to ledger after the swap?
After the swap you will be able to store your coins in the new wallet (windows, mac, linux), and ledger once they finish updating their wallets code to hold XSN.

18.) How profitable is a Masternode?
There will be a Masternode ROI calculator to determine this.

19.) Can I run more than 1 Masternodes on a computer?
We are implementing IP security protocol, so each TPoS contract and Masternode needs 1 static IP address each - to prevent centralization. In order to run more than one, you can purchase a VPS.

20.) Will POSW continue trading on exchanges until May?
Possibly.

21.)  The faucets are gone, will they be added back??
At the moment we aren't planning on adding faucets back into the page, but it's a possibility in the future.

22.) Will StakeNet be supported on Ledger?
Yes ledger will support XSN. We have a lifetime contract with them to support us, meaning, unless the contract is broken, the coin will be supported on their wallets.

23.) If I have my coins on poswallet.com are they automatically swapped for xsn?
No, they must be sent to xsncoin.io

24.) What's going to happen to people holding coins on cryptopia, ledger, and the posw website? Will their coins be swapped as well?
If they don't get swapped at xsncoin.io by May 1th they will be effectively burned.

25.) Where can I learn more about the future vision of the project?
Info about the future vision of XSN can be found at: https://medium.com/poswallet-weekly & https://xsncoin.io

26.) What’s the point of being a merchant? What does a merchant get out of tpos?
Its beneficial to the owner because they don't have to leave their computer on 24/7 to stake their coins. It's beneficial for the merchant to have TPoS since they will be earning a commission for the TPoS contract.

27.) What is the blocksize going to be for XSN?
2MB

28.) Can I stake my coins on the Ledger Nano S?
Coins on the ledger wallet do not stake, in the future you will be able to through TPoS(on the roadmap).

29.) What's the block time for XSN?
60 seconds

30.) Will you be adding the ability to stake other coins back onto poswallet.com?
We sure are!

31.) Will other coins begin to use trustless staking as well?
We definitely see other coins using this feature, as it is revolutionary within the crypto community. However, if coins choose to do this they will have to fork off from PoSW itself.

32.) Is there a dedicated development fund to keep the project motivating?
We are implementing a treasury feature similar to PIVX where a portion of the block rewards go into a fund that is used to pay for development. However, PoSWallet is mainly a community project as it is also a place for the devs to stake their coins. Regardless of how large PoSWallet becomes, we will always use the service to stake our coins - the community just makes it infinitely times better!

33.) What’s the block reward and what percentage will be paid to masternodes?
The block reward in the first month will be 50 XSN, then reduced each month after by 5 XSN until it reaches its base level of 5 XSN each block.

34.) How are withdrawals from POSWallet.com handled? Are they manually reviewed?
Over 99% of withdrawals are automatically analyzed and processed by our security system, creating a very fast withdrawal experience for the user. For the other 1% or so, manual review can be triggered for multiple reasons: suspicious account activity, large number of sequential transactions, etc. For manual review transactions, they are generally reviewed within 4 hours. If your transaction gets flagged for manual withdrawal we apologize for the inconvenience.

35.) Is there a daily withdrawal limit?
There is a daily withdrawal limit based on your level of account verification. Your limits will gradually increase as you activate 2fa, or get your account verified.

36.) Can someone tell me in one sentence what problem this coin solves?
The problem it solves is people want PoS features but for other coins and people don’t want to be technical. Through poswallet.com it solves the growing demand for non-technical users to stake PoS coins easily, allowing their money to grow without any technical knowledge.

37.) What is the ROI from hosting a Masternode?
The ROI from hosting a Masternode will follow a seesaw mechanism, which will change depending on how many Masternodes are live. As more nodes come online, the ROI will gradually decrease until nodes start to go offline. This will then trigger the ROI to gradually increase and nodes will to start to come back online.

38.) What is Trustless staking?
Trustless PoS essentially allows users to own a stake in XSN, and have merchants do the staking for them using their high-bandwidth continuous connectivity (to ensure maximal rewards distribution) while not having to share any spendable balance or private keys with the merchant. Your funds are yours and yours alone, and will safely and securely grow over time even while you sleep.

39.) How does Trustless staking work?
Trustless staking works with something called Triplet-based encryption. The basis behind this is that instead of just the private and public keys, we have introduced a third key the shared key. This allows the owner of XSN to communicate with the merchant, and have their coins stake on the network without the owner having access to their funds.

40.) Are there more use cases for trustless staking?
Absolutely! It also has other, tangential uses in the crypto space as well. Considering we have likely only scratched the surface of TPoS capability and use, it is very likely that some pretty special ideas will be generated in the near future.

41.) Why is the swap manual and not automatic?
Having an automatic swap would make it an airdrop, meaning we are taking past blocks and building off existing wallets. From a technical standpoint, a coinswap will create possibilities of privacy, security, and a new way for the chain to operate by breaking old molds.

42.) Will the exchange be making a comeback?
Unfortunately, no. At this point of time there are no plans to start it up again.

43.) What’s the purpose of adding anonymity (stealth mode) feature? XSN going enter the black market?
With the block chain being transparent and public by nature, authoritative figures, companies, and governments will eventually develop algorithms and means to analyze this data and develop profiles on users without them knowing. We see privacy playing a large factor in the future and want to make sure our users have the option to protect this privacy if they choose.

44.) Why are you forking off part of the PIVX chain code?
We are applying their features like MN, stealth mode and instant send, so we can focus on new tech/features for XSN, like TPoS, Lightning Network, Atomic Swaps, CCPoS, etc.

45.) When you finish the new coin developments, will it be available in ledger nano s?
We are working with the Ledger team currently to get this done as soon as possible.

46.) What sort of community involvement would the team like to see to help with marketing and adoption of XSN?
Besides the bounties, it will be very important for the community to reach out to merchants to accept XSN as payment.  Building a strong merchant platform will propel XSN forward faster than anything else.

47.) Where does XSN coin itself derive value? Why is it necessary?
XSN originally addresses the issue of staking for nontechnical people with poswallet.com and accepting term deposits, membership and selling other merchandise to support dividends to XSN holders.
Stakenet, a new rebrand which focuses on technology improvements on the blockchain level, aims to improve the coin by introducing tpos, which enables cold wallet staking, lightning network term deposits, and cross chain pos.
These tech improvements really pushes the boundaries of tech so that XSNwill keep up with other coins technology improvement. So XSN will always stay relevant and be a storage of value.

48.) What separates XSN from all the other coins to make this investment someone’s best option?
TPoS will gain attention from whales of other communities to convert their wealth to XSN as they will be able to stake without making their assets “hot” and susceptible to hacks. We are also exploring an option for users to receive their interest gained in other forms of currency, while their main source of wealth stays safe.

49.) Since TPoS is an innovative way of “No need to trust”, do you think it will have use case in other industries/markets/businesses besides crypto market?
The technology we are implementing can be applied and disrupt a broad range of industries. TPoS essentially allows differing degrees of access to a given asset. In our case the owner of XSN will be able to allow 3rd parties to perform actions with their coins (staking) however they will be limited to this designated action and nothing else. This could apply to everything from the sharing economy to general security. If someone wants to rent an apartment the owner can allow the customer access into their front door but deny access to their bedroom door, allow access to drive a car but limit access to open the hood and tinker with the engine ect.

50.) What’s the issue with sentinel? And why is watch dog expired on everyone’s node?
An artifact - we are safe since we did not enable the spork for sentinel so this is just a cosmetic issue. We may however enable it down the road.

51.) How would I claim my stakes if i have a TPoS contract through my ledger?
There would be nothing to “claim” if a merchant is TPoSing funds from an address of yours - your address will receive the rewards as they come in and you would have full access to everything.

52.) Why cant I find the new TPoS tab on my windows wallet?
If you are on the new Wallet version 1.0.5 since we added the new tab of TPoS it will require you expand/maximize the wallet window so that you would have room to see it.

53.) How long does it take my coins to mature and start staking once staking is activated?
Anywhere from an hour to 24 hours, all depending on how many coins are in the address being staked.

54.) How is XSN relevant for stakenet.io when staking other coins?
The end goal for stakenet.io is to utilize our XSN masternode network to be the backend of this website and turn XSN into a form of “gas” which powers the platform via features executed in a decentralized manner through our masternodes. For now however it will start as a staking as a service website helping bring our project traffic and getting our coin new exposure until we have this network fully tested and deployed.

55.) How to start staking:
(1) Download the latest version of the wallet at - https://github.com/X9Developers/XSN/releases
(2) Encrypt the wallet with a password in settings. (IF YOU LOSE THIS PASSWORD YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RECOVER YOUR FUNDS)
(3) Unlock wallet with new password created.
(4) If everything is done correct, you will see at the bottom right corner of the wallet a round icon turn green and when hovered over will says staking is active.
(5) To stake you must keep your wallet up and running 24/7 to receive rewards.

56.) How is TPoS protected from a 51% merchant node minting attack?
We purposely made the barrier to entry easy to become a TPoS merchant, this will ensure competition and enough decentralization amongst TPoS merchant nodes to prevent 1 merchant from monopolizing the market. Our dev team also can develop 1 click setups for merchant UI’s if need be to even further ensure decentralization to allow average non techies to enter the market.

I don't know much about this coin, but its volume is really low

StakeNet was only traded on Livecoin at the time of your post, however we where added to SistemKoin yesterday, which has increased the volume. This is just the beginning. The devs are making deals with exchanges, so the volume should increase even more.

It's a completely new chain, however the project is not new. I'd say this is the ground floor to enter into this project, and a good one in this bear market. I'm definitely buying more! Got to setup some masternodes!

XSN - StakeNet.

Staking as a service, 30%+ of the total supply is already locked up in masternodes, however it's still cheap to buy.
With XSN, you can stake your coins offline, with help from a merchant. In Q2 they will open their staking service on Stakenet.io.

No brainer really, amazing dev team.

This thread got a lot more replies than I thought when I created it.
Seems like some of you guys have been watching this project closely, just like I have.

I believe that once Atomic swaps and CCPOS gets implemented, it will benefit the masternode holders enormously, as they will function as a bridge between everything.

Once the swap from POSW to XSN is completed may 1st, we will finally be able to see organic growth, too many people try to arbitrage between the 2 coins right now, and it kills the price.

My prediction for the end of the year with this project: $8

That's insane even when I type it, but I believe TPOS will take off like crazy, once people become aware of how unique a tech it really is.

what did you mean with Stake your coins OFFLINE ?
because how can we stake our coins in offline, ?
can you explain me about this
thank you

It's a brand new technology that has been developed on the project. See the screenshot below:

https://i.imgur.com/ryhIDoM.jpg

There is a tab in the wallet itself called TPOS. If you click on it, you get the following screen.
When you've found a merchant (Again, it can be anyone staking. Requirement is a computer to be running 24/7, or a VPS, just like normal staking), you can both agree on a staking percentage commission. This means, that each time the merchant stakes your coins for you, he will take a commission for it. It's up to you and the merchant to agree upon a fair commision. Once the contract has been made you can turn OFF your computer, and STILL stake, because your merchant will do it FOR YOU.

The merchant will NOT have access to your coins, this is why it's called Trustless proof of stake. You will use a shared key called a merchant address to verify each stake transaction.

This means, that once Ledger is done examining our code base, and they integrate XSN, you will be able to store all your XSN on a ledger, AND stake it at the same time, using a merchant.

[XSN] StakeNet - Very Promising Project - Stake Your Coins OFFLINE.
by
Marcdk2
on 14/04/2018, 18:16:18 UTC
Before anyone judges me, I'm not new here. My previous account: Marcdk was hacked by some russian idiot, and I don't really bother recovering it, because my recovery email was changed as well. Anyway....

I'd like to discuss a project, which is pretty exciting to me, for multiple reasons. StakeNet is a rebrand from the old POSW. They decided to change the name, the roadmap, most of the old dev team, and came up with a lot of unique ideas and concepts.
Their KEY feature right now is TPOS.

TPOS - Trustless Proof Of Stake:

TPOS makes it possible to stake your coins through a ledger (Ledger support coming in the next few weeks, POSW was ledger supported too, so they just have to change and review the codebase).
This works through merchants. Anyone can become a merchant, as long as you have a computer or a VPS running 24/7 to stake.
Through a shared encrypted key, the merchant can stake someone elses coins for a commision you both decide to agree upon. This benefits both parts. The merchants get's to stake multiple peoples coins, and will recieve a nice passive income doing so, the other part can turn off his computer, and save electricity.

Masternodes:
Masternodes are running smoothly on our network, and as I'm typing this, there is currently: 1224 nodes online. Each nodes costs 15,000 coins.
These masternodes are still fairly cheap for a project like this. The block reward is 50. Divided like this: 45% Staking Rewards / 45% Masternode Rewards / 10% for dev funds.
This means each reward is currently: 22.5 coins. The block reward will be lowered by 5 each month. So the rewards RIGHT NOW is pretty lucrative.

Roadmap:
Below is the current roadmap for 2018. As you can see, we got a LOT of interesting features coming. The most promising one is probably our 24/7 staking service. For those of you who remembers POSW, (Proof Of Stake Wallet), it was a service, where you could stake a LOT of the major POS coins through them. This saves electricity, and is a nice way to be able to shut down your PC, while your coins are safely being staked.
This service is being brought back to live this year, and this time with increased security, better design, and hand picked POS coins. This means the devs wont add "shitcoins", but only coins in demand.
Once Ethereum changes to POS, you can imagine how many who's gonna use their service to stake what they have, as it wouldn't be economically beneficial to leave your computer running for small amounts of ETH.

https://i.imgur.com/0Dhy5cH.jpg

Last Few Words:
If you're interested in the project, you can join our Discord here: https://discord.gg/cyF5yCA. You can find me under the name: Marcdk, I'm around from time to time. We are a very friendly and quickly growing community.

This project is crazy undervalued right now (Yes, I know most projects are, especially in this bear market, but hear me out).
- Masternodes and TPOS is running, and if you check the order book on Livecoin, where we are currently trading, you'll notice that buying LARGE chunks of XSN is incredible hard, so buy slowly in case you want to run a masternode, otherwise you'll over pay.

We where just added to Coinmarketcap yesterday. Total Marketcap, and Circulating supply will be added monday:
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/stakenet/

Announcement Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3213013.0

We have a very similar supply to PIVX, however our project is way more ambitious in terms of features in my opinion!

What do you guys think? Smiley

Disclaimer: I'm running a few masternodes on my own, so this is a biased presentation of the overall project.

We are still in a very "nervous" market cycle. Everytime Bitcoin jumps a bit, it goes back down just as quick.
I believe we will see more upwards momentum in May though.
