Re: Famous TV series
by

I'm watching Desperate Housewives recently. It gives me new idea about life and marriage. I watched Broke Girls but only the first three seasons because I watch TV series over eating, and Broke girls clearly is not suitable for that...

I hope my comment is late coz you have fallen asleep now. When I can't sleep, I listen to gentle music, slow in rhythm, making me feel tranquil or sad, at the same time, try to listen to the lyrics instead of thinking about the chores in life.

Re: How do you feel about politicians and central bankers?
by
Mariangle Blocker
on 28/01/2021, 09:25:47 UTC
as for politicians.

i agree if politicians make a pledge to do something. their salary and all other hidden incomes should be on the line. it all gets put into a trust and they only get access to it if they achieve their goal.

then they will suddenly work faster to complete things.

a voting system can work. after all millions of people vote on americas got talent each week. so why not have a secure system where citizens regularly vote on legislation.

the hardest task would be setting up a way to ensure each person has a private wallet key that identifies them to ensure people cant just sell their keys to their nearest corporate lobby group offering to buy their vote
I think politicians have some sort of magic. They can make things sound like very good or very evil, they hide their intention and make sordid fact wear makeup, which I truly admire

I don't like MOVIE/TV that tries to correct my opinion towards politics, even I feel good about some criticizes or plays jokes on it. Why should we be taught? It's no use correcting by TV, it depends on our eyes in the real world

Re: Post Your Favorite Trump Memes Here
by

Pretty self-explanatory. Let's see the best Trump memes you have to offer. Bonus points for posting memes having to do with the election. This is a self-moderated topic, so that means if I don't like your

- meme
- attitude
- trolling attempt or
- person,

or if I plain just feel like it, I have every right to delete your post. If your meme is the slightest bit funny I will likely let it stand; however, keep in mind that it has to be about Trump.

hahahaha~I saw these pictures recently, they're really funny😁though I don't like him, he really worked as an amusement for me

Re: Who will the Republicans of the future be?
by
Mariangle Blocker
on 28/01/2021, 03:39:53 UTC
As we all know, Donald Trump is no longer the President of the United States and will slowly lose his grip over the party over the next few years. Not a guarantee, though I personally do not think that the Trumps will remain super powerful in the GOP. They will be a valuable endorsement, totally, but not the leaders of the party.

With that said, the Republican party is going to have new people rise up to the top. Going to use this thread for all of us to talk about who we think these people are going to be.

I’ll lay out mine - Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, and Mike Pence (he’s older but is totally a frontrunner in 2024)

I think that Trump is not done yet with politics and will likely push his daughter into politics more in the future. In my opinion Ivanka Trump could try to become president herself. Maybe not in 2024, but in 2032 could definitely be her year.
the same. Old, Trump doesn't want to put his hands off politics. He's always so ambitious and...dishonest. Not enough attention paid to the virus earlier, lying about the number of the infected people and the result of president election. I don't trust him, never.

Re: ... Vitamin-D Rollout following 82% reduction in COVID-19 deaths in Spain
by
Mariangle Blocker
on 28/01/2021, 03:18:12 UTC
The lockdowns have caused many people to stay inside, and out of the sun. Being exposed to the sun allows people to get Vitamin D naturally. There have been links between a lack of Vitamin D and higher rates of Covid deaths found in studies.

I would conclude this to mean the closings of parks and beaches actually increased covid related deaths. Thanks Roy Cooper
We need something for Vitamin D and at the same time we should take the vaccine. Covid is terrible, not matter whether the government did overstatement. To protect our lives, take the pills and take vaccine, I think.

People will start riots but more agressive then before .
People want normal life back
Goverment will only put whole society in mess with restrictions

All over world people will be angry not gping to be good

Riots are just dumb and I hope everybody that is participating in them is getting jailed. In the Netherlands the police is searching a lot of the Rioters right now, luckily they keep making videos of themselfs which is great for the police to identify them. I mean honestly, who gives these guys the right to just walk around and start burning random cars? None of the people who lose their cars, stores or other property have anything to do with the corona curfews. Innocent people are getting hurt for nothing. I would understand if the protest in front of the house of the politcians and burn things there, but not of random people who just parked their car in that area.
absolutely.Riots are stupid and a disrespect for life. We need quarantine to save our lives. I just don't understand what they are thinking...

Re: [BET] Trump or not Trump 2020, eddie13 vs suchmoon
by
Mariangle Blocker
on 27/01/2021, 09:21:27 UTC
Code:
suchmoon's address: 18pTKHyCFyr5Gk3LHN4wKke1hUaT3wUnjb
eddie13's address: 1vvSrTFiQY7akwbsv3iYPPe9mR3DsEbff

suchmoon agrees to pay 0.1 BTC to eddie13 if Donald J Trump wins the 2020 US presidential election, and eddie13 agrees to pay 0.1 BTC to suchmoon if Donald J Trump does not win the 2020 US presidential election.

Decision logic:

Election result is considered decided by the Electoral College meeting. If the Electoral College elects Donald J Trump the president of the US following the 2020 US presidential election eddie13 wins the bet, in any other case suchmoon wins the bet except for the draw conditions listed below.

Conditions for a draw (neither side pays the other side):

If there is no presidential election in 2020.
If Donald J Trump is not on the ballot in at least 26 states.
If the Electoral College doesn't meet by midnight January 31, 2021.

Additional terms:

EC decision is final regardless of popular vote, pledged electors, unfaithful electors etc.
No presidential election in 2020 (martial law, martians invading, etc) means a draw.
Donald J Trump not running for any reason (primaried out, dead, impeached, etc) means a draw even if he wins via write-in.
Any other candidate getting elected (democrat, republican, third party, etc) means suchmoon wins.
If Donald J Trump is elected but doesn't get sworn in (dies, goes to prison, moves to Slovenia, etc) eddie13 wins.

Re: How Joe Biden's Picks for SEC, Treasury Will Impact Crypto
by

Ah, it’s nice to see that the link that you posted on the bottom is just a regular source instead of your own blog spam. But onto the topic here:

Pretty sure that the Biden admin is going to be pretty crypto friendly, given the fact that his second largest donor is Sam Bankman Fried with a $5,000,000 donation to his campaign - https://www.coindesk.com/cryptocurrency-ceo-donated-second-largest-amount-to-joe-bidens-campaign

Not expecting TOO MUCH CHANGE. Probably more IRS audits for crypto stuff, but that’s that IMO.
yeah, I read newspapers and Biden seems to be nice to crypto. Maybe he'll make crypto better, I suppose Cheesy
