How many MAD COINS does a node need?

Maybe it is wise to read page one of this thread before even thinking about masternodes...  Wink

man do you use the correct git version?? the only thing that needs to be edited in order to compile the wallet is the following:

I thankfully used that guide and did use the git source. I think it is due to my fully upgraded Ubuntu version. I had some problems compiling other wallets also due to this.

It is your Ubuntu version that is giving you trouble. I can't get it running on Ubuntu 17.04, but it does run on my Ubuntu 16.04 machine

I did some moving around and got myself a 16.04 server. Compiling went much smoother this time. It was syncing alright but used a lot of server resources.
At current point is is using 1gb Ram + 1gb swap + 100% CPU load constantly. It stopped syncing also.

I'll give it another go with a fresh database. If you guys say it should work, than it is going to work.

** just reloaded the bootstrap file. And started 8Bitd - rescan. Again it is draining all server resources, but seems to be syncing from block 983236.
Anyone able to share his latest DB? This is going to take forever it seems.

hmmm you should downgrade to 16.4. it works like a charm

Maybe you are right, or the wallet needs to be upgraded  Wink
I have multiple masternodes running on 3 different servers already. Downgrading means a lot of work and some downtime.
It would be cheaper for me to just skip 8bit masternode, but I don't like to give up.

I upgraded some files and the daemon is running now. Just no connection yet (connection failures). Don't know if that is my upgraded config or missing something else.
Trying to figure that one out. I will get there somehow  Grin

Hi Guys,

Can somebody help me out with fixing a compiling error i get? I get a few of about the same (just a different number) and then no joy.

chainparams.cpp:143:53: error: ambiguous overload for ‘operator=’ (operand types are ‘std::vector’ and ‘boost::assign_detail::generic_list’)
         base58Prefixes[PUBKEY_ADDRESS] = list_of(111);

I did all steps that need to be done before building. I am at Ubuntu 17, so maybe some version conflict?

Something to do with boost? I'm at V1.62

Thanks!

Ok, this was a boost version error. I did some copy/paste work in "chainparams.cpp" to fix this.
Now having a darksend.cpp error and trying to fix at at the same manor. Going to "borrow" some code from another git ;-)

I needed to reindex my local and server wallet this morning. Both where stuck at some point (not the same block).
Missed out 3-4 Masternode payments because of this. Linux Server and Windows wallet are not on the same machine nor netwerk, so it was not an error on my side.
However it is a costy one...

Also waiting for my coin deposit, hopefully it will all be fixed soon. The coin i need to buy from them is going up, so  double loss in this case.

Strange....MM only has one network activity: pool API comunication. I have a rig with a extremely poor wifi connection and never seen that. What interval are you using?, perhaps you have too small interval (<60 secs) and this generates too many network activity.

I´ll try to investigate open connections.

Thanks for your reply. I am using a 600 sec. interval. Sometimes mij CPU and mem usage get suspiciously high. I sometimes get the feeling that there might be multiple processes running. So when it starts a new miner, the old one might keep doing something in the background (although i can't find anything to back my feeling up)

Maybe i should download MM all fresh and new to be sure that there is nothing screwed up in the previous download.

For me, the powershell process:

CPU is less than 25% on a pentium G4560
Memory occupped is  less than 100Mb

Thanks, for me it looks about the same. Did a fresh download and changed the config file. Got an error on downloading one miner (url is incorrect, klaust, ccminer).
Started mining without any problems, till after some time. Network down, and i was unable to get a remote session going. Did a hard-reset.
Checked the logs and found this:

PS>TerminatingError(): "The pipeline has been stopped."
>> TerminatingError(): "The pipeline has been stopped."

After that Megaminer tried and tried without success. It was mining without any issues for a few days already without megaminer in between.
Very weird

ps. there is ubq.suprnova.cc in a script, that should be ubiq.suprnova.cc

I love the idea of this software. I am however experiencing network instability when i use it.
When i start it, it works fine. But after some time the hashrates go down, and it looks like to overload my wifi connection.
Even RDP is not working anymore at that time so i am forced to restart the machine.

If i use the same config to start a miner without megaminer then is keeps on running stable. So it is not a hardware or settings issue.

I have no ability to get a wired network to test. The Wifi however is stable untill i run megaminer.

Any ideas on this issue? Is megaminer opening loads of simultanious connections or something? Data thruput is not the issue.

Thanks!
