Announcing the official Viewly airdrop, claim your tokens now!

The Viewly team is happy to announce that we have organized an official event in which we give back to our loyal community and to all our new members that may have missed some bounties they liked!

At exactly 15:00 UTC today (February 26), our bot will be up and running and will be eagerly waiting for your messages, this being the official time of the Viewly telegram airdrop start! The event will end two days later, on 28th of February at 15:00 UTC.

Basic campaign info
Campaign starts: 26th of February 2018 at 15:00 UTC
Campaign ends: 28th of February 2018 at 15:00 UTC, or when the point pool is filled.
Issuance of tokens: within 14 days after the Viewly token sale ends (token sale started on 22nd of February 2018 and currently almost 75% filled)
Ratio: (4:1) 4 points = 1 VIEW token
Total points pool: 250,000 VIEW tokens. Once the points pool will be filled, the campaign will be stopped (250,000 VIEW tokens is equivalent to $112,500 at the current token sale price)

These are the 4 simple steps that you need to follow in order to confirm your participation:

Step 1. Join Viewly official Telegram Group (https://t.me/Viewly).
Step 2. Direct message Viewly Airdrop Bot (@ViewlyAirDropBot), enter command “/getdrop” followed by your email. Please make sure to type in the email correctly, because you will receive the follow-on information to your email as well to receive your View reward. Enter “/points” to see your points balance and you can also enter “/link” to see your referral link.
Step 3. Share your referral link with your friends and families with contents like this “I’ve just received free VIEW tokens from Viewly. Click on this referral link to get yours!” For each referral, you will receive additional View referral points, which are capped at 100 referrals.
Step 4. Direct message Viewly Airdrop Bot (@ViewlyAirDropBot), enter command “/eth_set” to submit your Ethereum address. In order to avoid bots and scams, we will only award points to the wallet addresses with minimum of 0.10 ETH balance.

The reward system will be divided into three phases, where the first phase will be the most rewarding:

Phase 1
Phase duration: 26th of February 3PM UTC to 27th of February 3AM UTC (first 12 hours)
VIEW reward: 30 points
Referral reward: 20 points for each referral

Phase 2
Phase duration: 27th of February 3AM UTC until 27th of February 3PM UTC (next 12 hours)
VIEW reward: 20 points
Referral reward: 15 points for each referral

Phase 3

Phase duration: 27th of February 3PM UTC until 28th of February 3PM UTC (last 24 hours)
VIEW reward: 10 points
Referral reward: 10 points for each referral

We will also give additional rewards to the individuals with most referrals! Top referrals will receive*:
1st place: 5,000 points
2nd place: 3,000 points
3rd place: 1,000 points

*If there are two or more people with the same number maximum referral points, we will split the reward between them.

You will have a shot at winning big even if you are not in the top referrals! At the end of the event we will reward three random participants with 5,000 points each!

General rule of participation: You must make sure that you do not leave our Telegram group before the token sale concludes.
Our @ViewlyAirDropBot will be randomly checking for participants’ presence and if someone who participated is not in the group at the time of the check they will be excluded from the event.
Please make sure that you have a username assigned to your Telegram account! To set up a username open the Telegram app (desktop or mobile) and then go to settings and then click username.

Thank you for all your support!

I do not quite understand how this will work, but the idea is interesting! Cheesy

Hello RomanBelich! Please check the whitepaper here: https://view.ly/downloads/whitepaper.pdf. There is a lot more info about the project. You could also check out the roadmap here: https://medium.com/view-ly/viewly-roadmap-released-b1a6efefeb1d

Do you think that you can lure the whole audience from youtube to you?

An interesting question, youtube is a huge corporation, how do you plan to compete?

Thank you for your question. Our main goal is to have real supporters of quality content creators as an audience. We are a completely different platform from YouTube, and also - competition is always healthy, it will motivate us to become even better in the future.

Hi, do not forget to make applications for mobile devices! Grin

Great idea DiziSquare, today's world depends on mobile apps!  Grin Thumbs up!

I do not think that they will have to compete, people will choose the best and it will be Viewly Wink

Thanks for the support!

I understand correctly that Viewly is aimed to exclude fraud and deception among companies buying advertising and content-makers?

Viewly aims to become the first ad-free video platform, even though creators would be able to sign sponsorship deals without a problem.

When is the beginning of the pre-sale? and are there any bonuses for the first investors?

Hello Narimann! Private pre-sale is ongoing and it will last until the 20th February (100 ETH+). On the 21st-22nd there will be a pre-sale for whitelisted contributors (5 ETH+). On the 22nd February the public token starts and it will last until the hard cap is filled or until the 22nd March.

Have you tried to offer your video hosting to popular video bloggers from YouTube?

We already have several creators on-board. You can check them on our website. https://view.ly/

Well done guys, keep it up! The more professionals in the team, the faster the project will gain momentum.

Thanks for the support LoreinMallin, we appreciate it! Smiley

Are you the representative of Viewly? Or are you from the development team?

Me and TudorOzy are both the community managers for Viewly. The dev team is really busy working on the product and if you have a specific question for them it will be our pleasure to re-direct it to them and give you an answer as soon as we get one!

You are right, this is if you want to make money on advertising. But there are people who create for themselves, and do not want to sell advertising for money. Viewly will be interesting for them.

You are right Dr.Cristofferson! Thank you for the support.

very impressive idea, i'm interested in results of your work. We need somethink new in this sphere. Youtube is too currupted now, money money money money everywhere...

Thank you! We are working hard on a new refreshed version of the alpha.

And will you show the amount of money collected, as shown in DTube? It's interesting to watch, how much money clip has collected.  Cool
Yes, this encourages other participants to make better content, seeing how many others are making money on it.

Thank you guys for the suggestion! Good idea!  Smiley

But how do you plan to name your service? There are already various combinations associated with the decentralization of YouTube and so on. I wonder your decision about the name of the project. Huh

The name of our project has been decided a really long time ago - we are Viewly.  Grin

Isn't this already achieved by IPBC? The coin allows users to upload videos and they get paid when the viewers view the videos and 'mine' coins with their cpu while they watch the video.

What is different with this coin?

Hello smartcrypto and thank you for the question. We are a completely different project from IPBC. Our goal is focusing content creators and solving their problems. No mining, no rewards for just watching a video or for uploading a video. We focus on quality content. You can find out more about Viewly if you check out the whitepaper here: https://view.ly/downloads/whitepaper.pdf

When will you start your service? It is interesting to at least roughly understand what you are capable of and what your ideas are. I'm not talking about a mobile application, but at least a trial run of the site would be interesting to see.

There is a working alpha product right here: https://alpha.view.ly/. Please take note that this is soon to be refreshed.

Just found out about this project.
Will keep an eye on this.

Thank you greml! Visit our social media pages and check this thread for more updates!

Thank you for all the questions guys, and sorry I did not manage to answer them all right now. It is a really busy time for us but I promise we will get back to all of you as soon as possible!  Grin

I do not understand what is decentralization? than it specifically will be different for example from the instagram? there are pictures and videos. Everything is fast and without advertising. Explain.

Hello sharkman20! Thank you for the question.

Here's a brief explanation about decentralization, taken from Wikipedia:
Quote
Decentralization is the process of distributing or dispersing functions, powers, people or things away from a central location or authority.
Also, we are not aiming to be a social network so we will be completely different from Instagram. Viewly is a decentralized video platform which is powered by the blockchain, focused on its content creators and eliminating one of the biggest problems content creators encounter - demonetization. And yes, the platform will be ad free.

Explain pls, for what will people get money at your platform? For videos, for views? For subscribers?

Hello MaksonJoe, thank you for your question!

On Viewly, creators build their "tribe" of dedicated fans, and receive Patreon like support through frictionless micropayments and subscriptions. Creators can also sign sponsorship deals that are in-line with their fanbase best interests—with the on-chain escrow smart contracts, without middlemen. You can read more about this on our Medium blog here: https://medium.com/view-ly/solving-the-money-problem-viewly-embraces-creator-monetization-on-revolutionary-platform-e0f04fe414f8

I do not quite understand why a project needs a token?

Hello andiko, in our case - the VIEW Token will be used on Viewly to support and show love to creators!

Is this going to be an ICO and what's the timeframe for that? Also from a technical standpoint, will blockchain be able to cope with the massive load that comes with storing and playing videos on a global scale?

Hello tiCeR, thanks for the question.

The seed sale was ongoing in October and the hard cap was reached. There is a presale for strategic contributors that's ongoing at the moment until the 19th February - above 100 ETH. Then on the 20th and on the 21st February there will be a presale for whitelisted contributors - above 5 ETH. The public token sale starts on the 22nd February and it will last until the hard cap has been reached or until the 22nd March.

Videos are not stored on the blockchain, you actually only store the information regarding transactions and that relates to videos (hashes, etc). The technology is advancing.

Re: Effect of Bitcoin on Bank Deposits and the Economy
by
MarkoViewly
on 10/01/2018, 21:11:20 UTC
Just talked to a banker today on a similar topic. My questions were is our government looking to do something about Bitcoin being accepted or making it legal? Are earnings from Bitcoin legal to declare and share with the internal revenue service? Did someone actually filled any kind of form about revenue from any sort of crypto around? Please take note that I live in a country that is still pretty much functioning with 90s technology so all of this is big news to most of the people around. His answers were the following, our government is actually giving zero fucks for the time being about any sort of digital payments (we were promised to be listed on PayPal in 2012, 2018 - still nowhere near that). Talking with the IRS about this sort of earnings will usually depend from their current mood. They might tell you that you are OK with receiving funds from abroad or they might tell you you must pay 10% personal income tax on those or simply reply that it is illegal to "convert" any sorts of digital assets into money. People that earn online mostly use prepaid cards to avoid taxes or any sort of trouble that can surface in this hellhole. He was not much into it, but said that every sort of income from a bank that is abroad is welcomed in our country and can only do good to our economy. We'll probably see what happens in ~5 years from now when the world adopts crypto and we are one of the few countries to still work with fiat.

Hey Big0ne! Hard work is being put in the platform and it won't be in alpha stage anymore since that version is not in active development anymore. The new version is being built from scratch and it's gonna be a lot better than the alpha version.

I think best ICO of 2018 will be Viewly. It is a decentralized video platform with Charlie Shrem as advisor. Great project by great team. Viewly will solve many problems and I think it will be one of the best blockchain projects ever developed. Definitely register!

Thank you for the mention julfow, we really appreciate it. Anyone who is interested in the project can find all the news and updates in our official announcement thread.

Re: Ripple Price Prediction for 2018
by
MarkoViewly
on 03/01/2018, 20:44:05 UTC
I've got to say I am done with speculating prices because it can only do harm from what I see. Even when I am completely right I feel like an idiot for not following my instincts. The reason I am writing this post is that I've read a lot of posts that create FUD about Ripple lately. Can someone direct me to the conspiracy theories (if there are some interesting reads) that banks are actually buying into XRP so they can crush other prices down?

Thanks!

It is the greatest idea. Buy a budget laptop and use it only for that and it does not have to be a Chromebook necessarily. No bloatware, no spyware, no porn, no risks. Smiley I use a separate budget laptop for internet browsing only and I am having a great experience for now.

Looks like a fun project, but it doesn't seem you have a big enough team to handle it.

You should work better on the marketing campaign  Wink

How many active developers work on this project?  Grin
Thanks for the kind words Big0ne! After the recent team updates I am pretty sure that the team is not just big enough but also capable of handling the project, but we can never know how or when will we expand. Smiley  Regarding the marketing campaign, it is about to officially start really soon, so you should expect some updates on that field. If you have any other thoughts or questions feel free to reply here or join our Telegram group: t.me/viewly.

A very promising project in the offing. But I think there are other blockchain projects with a similar goal.
Thank you Cashwave, we really appreciate your interest. Yes, you are right - there are some projects based on blockchain but from my point of view competition is always a healthy thing, isn't it? If it wasn't for competition then how would we strive to become the best? Smiley Don't forget to follow us through the social media to stay updated and also join our Telegram group for a chat!

Re: Have You Been Scammed?
by
MarkoViewly
on 26/12/2017, 22:40:35 UTC
Yeah, sadly and it's not easy to admit I have been scammed. It was at a time where I basically knew nothing about crypto/bitcoin and I received this great deal to trade virtual game items for real money, like 10% more than the amount I was expecting to get. I got greedy and made an agreement with the potential buyer to send me the Bitcoins first and then I was supposed to send over the virtual goods over to him. I created a new wallet and from everything I searched on the internet as fast as I could, I was ready to receive Bitcoin in my wallet. I shared my address with him and he confirmed that he sent the amount and I should check it. I opened my wallet and saw that I had the amount that we agreed upon in my wallet. I also opened the transaction and everything, but I never knew that you should at least wait for 3 confirmations until the money is safe in your wallet. I transferred the items to him and we said goodbye to each other and I tried to use the coins in my wallet to buy something else online. This is where things got strange to me. Then I did my research calmly and found out that the guy double spent his coins and I got left with 0 in my wallet. It was a lesson I learned the hard way lol. I suggest whatever you do online you should first educate yourself and not act like you know it all because you can easily get burned by people who do not care about anything besides scamming you. Good luck guys!

Re: Racism

Hi! Today, I want to talk about a topic that I've experienced multiple times in my life, in this country. And that's racism! How do you view racism? Is it still alive in this country, in your opinion? Have you ever experienced racism in your life? How did you handle your racist experience?
Hey there! Good topic to talk about. Myself, just like you have experienced it a lot of times in the country where I currently live. I have been a victim targeted by racist slurs (intentional and non-intentional). It is indeed a pretty difficult subject, especially when you have to deal with semi-literate people and people who haven't left the town/village they were born in and feel like they or their land/personality is under attack when they see a person from other ethnicity/race. I always forgive people who do that because I only find them ignorant and try to avoid any kind of conflict, but there was this one time when I got attacked in the middle of the night by a group of three and got beaten for walking through the wrong neighborhood. Hopefully the times will come when people won't have to deal with seeing each other as different, but love themselves for who they really are on the inside.

Some say it isn't that secure
https://blog.edgesecure.co/why-a-12-word-mnemonic-is-an-insecure-bitcoin-wallet-backup-d56085da6c8d

In my opinion, it is harder to brute force a password if it has not only words and letters but also symbols.
Of course quantum computer could obliterate my opinion..

on 17/12/2017, 19:59:55 UTC
I feel like I was really bad when it came to managing my own salary. I've made some crucial mistakes in the past and it is still haunting me today. Bad investments, wrong timing on when to spend and on what to spend. Since then I grew and started being more careful, even though I still have some outbursts, but still it's nothing heartbreaking or devastating. I divide my salary into 4 pieces - food+rent+bills, savings, clothes+social life and investments. Everything is easier knowing that I am limited to spend said amount on said things for the period.

I meet with him, we go to internet club and he transfer the btc from his wallet to mine. And after I see the transfer I give him the cash ? Or how it should do ?
Thanks

This is a more convenient way to buy/sell your bitcoins. Localbitcoins.com is another good website for trading bitcoins which has an escrow service and ensure safe trading too.

Localbitcoins.com is the only website I know that you can trade for cash directly. Here is a good guide on how to do it.

Stay safe and don't carry much bitcoin with you and always go with a friend.

Hi guys,
please explain, your ICO is finished now? I see the information in Whitepaper that the pre-sale was in October. And what about the ICO?

Hey there Crypto_Enthusiast! Thanks for the interest! Yes, the pre-ICO happened in October and the hard-cap was reached. The ICO it's most likely going to happen late January/early February 2018, but no exact date is set yet. Stay tuned, there will be a lot of more updates soon!

It looks very interesting project with working small prototype application to understand in real time how this decentralized steaming going to work. I will be waiting for more information to be released about crowdsale and project itself. We need everything decentralized for greater future.

Thank you for the kind words, NrX. You could always subscribe to our newsletter so you can keep yourself up to date - or simply follow us on FB/Twitter/Instagram! We aim to do a lot of work for a better future!
