I am new to coins and everyone said that mining on a laptop is a bad idea and there aren't any coins that are really worth mining on a laptop but someone told me about STEEM which pays you to use their social media website and one of my friend told me about GEMS which pays you to use their social media app does anyone know about any other coins like this where you can get coins without mining equipment
also what mining equipment is best for mining altcoins

STEEM gives you crypto just for talking or introducing yourself

Yes, the crypto of the future pays you simply for doing what you are already doing (posting threads)

https://steemit.com/steem/@elishagh1/social-media-blockchain-steem-issues-usd1-3mm-payout-to-steemit-users

Then you can trade your STEEM for any crypto you want

That is awesome my friend told me about GEMS where they pay you to use the app but he said he never used it and when I looked at the app all the reviews were bad and people said the app either didnt work or they didnt get paid are their any other coins like STEEM
LOL

GEMS never gave a million dollars in crypto to people who simply introduced themselves, flashed a nip, or copied a link:

https://steemit.com/votes/introduceyourself

https://steemit.com/girlsgonesteem-nsfw/@peachesdoe97/i-heard-you-guys-like-ass

https://steemit.com/thedao/@xeroc/ongoing-attack-on-thedao---eth-draining-from-the-pot

No offense to GEMS, but with the money you can make from one STEEM post, I bet you can buy more GEMS than your friend ever owned.

So there are 2 ways to mine crypto, the easy way, and the hard way.

I wasn't saying they were equal I was just saying that I heard about coins you could get for just using their apps and stuff are there any others the STEEM registration isnt working right now

I am trying to create an account and it comes back with this can anyone help

Couldn't create account. Server returned the following error:
Cannot read property 'get' of undefined

There is an bug in the account creator right now. If you want to pay for an account or have a higher-ranked bitcointalk account then see my offer here to get an account without needing to go through the web registration system:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1485403.0

I'm new and I dont have any coins yet someone told me to join steem to try to get some coins I guess I will wait for the bug to get fixed any idea how long that will take?

I am new to bitcoin and my friend who uses bitcoins told me that it is better for new people to mine other coins what coins are best for new people and what coins are easiest to mine

Depends on your goals and resources.
If your goal is learning how to mine, i'd pick up a dirt cheap second hand miner (a geccosciense stick for example, or an old S3) and experiment with mining bitcoin. You will not make any profit this way.

If your goal is making a profit, you'll need to tell us your budget, electricity rate, knowledge, maybe even which GPU's you have at hand...

Right now I just have a laptop and pretty much no resources I am just looking for an easy coin to mine so that I can have my computer on during the day and get a few coins even if they arent worth anything my goal is just to figure out coins and maybe eventually find a way to start my own my friend has been telling me about all kinds of coins and told me that people make like 5 new ones every day
