Everyone in Hex Land,

Thanks to everyone who has stuck by and supported this coin through all of it's struggles and drama. One thing I know for sure, if that the team who came up with Hex are good people.

You know what I feel like HEX needs?

New Blood.
Like people who aren't even into crypto yet.  I also think that hex would be in a good position to get some of these new people, if it had just a couple of things.

Please, give me your honest input on these ideas everyone!

A/ Something easy and fun to spend hex on.

B/ A charitable fund that had something to do with the coin's theme ( Support for meth rehab perhaps?). This charitable fund would also help to keep hex out of the crosshairs of lawyers, if it starts becoming more widely known in the BB fan community.

So, picture something like this:  A place where you can spend your HEX on some basic goods and services and some games. Has to offer something foR EVERYONE, NO MATTER HOW SMALL.

Then, a small army of US, go out into the Breaking Bad community and draw people to the coin. Offer enough of a giveaway so that each and every new person can at least afford to buy SOMEthing with their HEX, even if it's just a bracelet supporting the amphetamine rehab charity effort, or a homeless fund...something, anything!

Within 1-2 weeks, I KNOW that hex would get itself in some media articles around the usa. As long as it's made clear that the coin isn't some hugely profitable copyright infringement, and that the community is even doing a charity too, will only make for more publicity and interest.

Anyhow, what I'm really getting at here is the NEW BLOOD.  People who aren't jaded and cynical about crypto and alt coins, even HEX in particular.
People who aren't going to just look at the currency graphs and walk away if it isn't what they want to see.

People who would find it cooler than anyone else that there is a currency named after Heisenberg. And that someone will give them some for free, which they could actually spend if they want!

What do you all think?  About both those ideas?

If, when the time is right, all of the hex community each took 30-60 minutes to go out there and mention it in as many public places (bb stuff first) as possible, there would be a major influx of new people.

That's the idea, at least.

Oh, i see, talking about changing the algorythym...

i think that most of the rapid coin deployment has pretty well died off for now, dont you guys?
cant be much longer untill it switches to 16000 perblock...

this coin just needs to be used for some things to gain some value...

maybe promoted a little bit more?

Great... another exchange scam. I had most of what I've worked so hard to get stashed on that site.

This is exactly what is going to bring in the jackbooted regulators too...since the populace obviously isn't capable of doing business without being babysat...

Starting to feel like there is no place in crypto for honest business people. I bet more and more people are feeling like that, every time this kind of thing happens

Anyone have any ideas on how we can stop this from happening?  It's obviously just going to continue happening if we don't find a solution, whenever an exchange sees  a downturn in the numbers, or it's owners feel they have enough money to take off for a sunny beach, they are just going to close up shop and take off with everyone's coins...

Anonymous people running exchanges...where WE go and put all of our money...?

It almost sounds like we deserve this happening when you put it THAT way doesn't it?

Sick of this kind of bullshit...

Yeah.

I don't much like the feeling I'm getting since they haven't bothered to update anyone since that 3 word explanation on twitter.

Does anyone know how to actually contact these people?

Downloaded all this new stuff, have wallet unlocked, and have owned the coins for about 6 weeks, not seeing anything about stake.

Would make it such a great coin, if this minting feature didn't require  quite so much technical knowledge  to use.

NOPE.

Status: 0/unconfirmed, broadcast through 8 nodes
Date: 3/16/2014 17:16
Source: Generated
Credit: (not accepted)
Net amount: 0.00 GRA
Transaction ID: 0e2995cbf5ecb8c6f73cf2c402359da45703401905408f80a41fe90239e9234b

Generated coins must mature 50 blocks before they can be spent. When you generated this block, it was broadcast to the network to be added to the block chain. If it fails to get into the chain, its state will change to "not accepted" and it won't be spendable. This may occasionally happen if another node generates a block within a few seconds of yours.

I've mined 3 blocks in the past hour, one of them ended up "not accepted" and the other two literally disappeared right out of the very records of the wallet altogether. Also, half or more of the POSS ive generated in the past month are all greyed out/not accepted...WTF?

It really doesn't surprise me this coin sticking around 1 satoshi when its this screwed up. Is there any fixing it?

Too bad, I kinda liked this coin.
