Re: What token do you expect in 2019?
by
MathiasCrow
on 21/12/2018, 11:55:55 UTC
I only like Bitcoin and Ethereum to invest. I already have invested about $4000 dollars ethereum and $ 10000 dollars Bitcoin at lower price rate and hold them for future .

Same here, but I focus on ETH. I invested when it was at about 80, it already pays back.
I expect the trend to continue its upward movement in 2019. As for ICOs, I doubt many of them will survive or bring any useful product to the market at all - their time has gone, I expect something else will appear in 2019 to begin to replace them.

Re: Crypto debit card for FIAT payments - would you use one?
by
MathiasCrow

Crypto debit card is a great idea, it will increase adoption significantly. At the same time, it will bring a lot more attention and requirements to exchanges: they will become number one target (even more then now) for hackers.

Possibly can be a good start for a real relationships, but when people limit their communication to online dating exclusively they do it wrong.

Re: What do you think about blockchain games?
by
MathiasCrow
on 11/12/2018, 12:40:07 UTC
Trading and bounties are a good way to earn. And recently I’ve discovered a new way to do that – dapps (I’m talking about games). I’m not that experienced in that field but it seems to be interesting.

What do you think about it? Have you ever tried to?

UPD #1

For everyone who wants to find blockchain games I've created a collection on product hunt https://www.producthunt.com/@house_lama/collections/blockchain-games

UPD #2

There is a good blockchain shooter War Field. it’s 100% not scam so I can send it here. you can read details about this game here (I don’t send direct link to their website not to make them advertisement) https://gameunculus.io/blog/96

So much talk about blokcheyna games, but we can not see any major titles. When EA or Valve blokcheyn develop a game, you should pay attention to it.

I doubt Valve will ever develop something worthy, their time has passed.
I also doubt that major developers will start using blockchain anytime soon, it is still not that popular and beneficial. Traditional development ways are more suitable if you`re aimed at getting stable income. Blockchain gaming is in the hands of indie developers, they have all changes to forward it further.

I wonder though if a game`s token will have some volatility outside game infrastructure.

Re: Why most bitcoin users from good economies countries?
by
MathiasCrow
on 10/12/2018, 17:35:30 UTC
It seems to me that it`s easier to dive into Bitcoin when you have stable economy/job opportunity to retreat to in case you fail in Crypto.
People from countries with good economic condition consider Crypto not in desperate light, but as an opportunity to increase their wealth even further.

Re: What is your attitude to lgbt ?
by
MathiasCrow
on 07/12/2018, 18:01:03 UTC
Hey whatever floats your boat, I wish there were a lot more of gay men, I´m cool with that for me is less competition and more Girlfriends xd also most of the gay man are polite and good people. But I don't support lesbianism

Good point about competition, lol.
My general attitude is simple - people can do whatever they want as long as it doesn`t interfere with my everyday life. I have nothing against LGBT as long as they don`t push it too far - intrusive is intrusive, as a rule I won`t tolerate it from anybody.

Re: How much do you use AI assistants?
by
MathiasCrow
on 03/12/2018, 16:09:09 UTC
I don`t use them at all. To be honest, I`m not concerned with privacy - I just take it as a fact that corporations already know pretty much everything about me, and very little could be really hidden.
The thing with AI assistants is that they`re oversimplifying the simplest things. I can manage my own house and devices without any help and I don`t see the point in using them.

My careful prediction is that the reversal of the trend will happen at the same time as ETF listing. Even though it goes against Crypto principles, this will definitely have positive influence on the price.

Re: China as the next global AI superpower?
by
MathiasCrow
on 21/11/2018, 20:19:12 UTC
China has been massively investing in AI technology and the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has identified 17 key areas as priority for artificial intelligence (AI) development. We all know it is part of the plan to surpass the U.S and other Western countries but it's hard to predict what might happen in the future.

Is there any official announcement or statement on it?
Anyway, if China sets on on doing something, they`ll nail it. I have no doubts that they`ll be able to reach great position in AI sphere, eventually dominating it.

Re: Do you Think we Are alone in the Universe?
by
MathiasCrow
on 19/11/2018, 18:50:40 UTC
Sometimes I wonder if maybe we're sort of the sims... and someone's controlling what we do. Definitely we're not alone.

Total simulation theory goes here. What if our civilization was destroyed during some cataclysm and other, more developed civilization created a simulation of our world that we currently live within?

As for the topic itself, we`re definitely not alone. The main issue preventing us from meeting other civilization (or them from meeting us) is distance. Physics is impossible to defy, and it should be extremely hard to create technology sufficient for travelling such distances.

Re: Decrease Population

Overpopulation is a valuable asset actually, although it`s not the right time to utilize it properly. People can man colonization spacecrafts, but unfortunately we don`t have proper technology for the moment - and it`s a good question if we`ll ever have.

Re: Bitcoin Falling Down? Is it The end ?
by
MathiasCrow
on 17/11/2018, 19:56:46 UTC
It`s definitely not the end, why would you think so. Altcoins are alive, companies keep on investing, and even BTC itself faced more crucial fall in the past.
I wonder actually what caused this downfall, what is the consensus on the reason? It dropped so suddenly without any evident reason, another prove of the Crypto volatility.

Re: If an ICO team is anonymous, is it a scam?
by
MathiasCrow
on 17/11/2018, 19:40:52 UTC
I believe displaying info about the team doesn`t make the project a auto non-scam for several reasons.
First of all, how can you be sure that these people are real? Photoshop is still a thing, as well as fake accounts on LinkedIn.
Then, what`re gonna do after they run away with your money? Trace those people and lodge a lawsuit? See point above, nothing prevents people of the project from being fake personalities.
ICO teams are in perfectly safe position here: we can do nothing to them, the only action available is to invest or not. We`re basically entrusting them with our money with no safety-trigger.

Re: Cryptocurrency is Great, But How Many Persons Know That?
by
MathiasCrow
on 17/11/2018, 19:27:26 UTC
I think a lot of people at least heard something about Bitcoin somewhere on the news, as now Crypto is too big of a thing for social media to ignore.
However, the number of people actively involved in Crypto-related things is significantly lower. Crypto is still an unknown land, people are too afraid to enter it - or just too lazy to learn new stuff.

Re: Social Media is cancer
by
MathiasCrow
on 17/11/2018, 12:47:28 UTC
It is though, to be honest i quite feel that it's not just cancer but a toxic , a toxicity that bringing all the aspects of toxic and implant on our brains you know what i'm saying, let's face the reality, the sad reality that social media can kill too though. I wish we can turn back time to those moments or era that letters exist.

It's quite sad cause instead of social media is helping or a way of sharing the journey , now it doesn't , it kill.

Totally agree on the idea of toxic instead of cancer. Cyberbullying, in all of its forms, is certainly on the rise in 2018 and will most likely retain the same trend in 2019.
Bullying is more evident for people of younger generations, and while it can be to a certain degree be controlled while they`re at school or university, it becomes extremely hard to do something about bullying on the web. People feel that computer screen makes them invincible so they go all out on attacking others. It is the matter of lack of education and socio-cultural concepts, the toxicity problem should be addressed on the stage long before web - in schools and during upbringing.

Re: Bitcoin and books
by
MathiasCrow
on 11/11/2018, 19:42:10 UTC
I have a few Bitcoin books to recommend if you are interested, but these are primarily for those just getting into crypto currency.  I got the kindle editions on Amazon.  Here they are:

The Internet of Money by Andreas Antonopoulos
Bitcoin Revolution: Ending Tyranny for Fun & Profit by Jarred Dennis & Max Wright
Bitcoin Explained Simply by Mark Jeffrey

Thanks for sharing. They may be useful not only for those who`re getting into Crypto, but as a source of new perspective - for me it`s quite interesting to know how a concept looks from the fresh point of view of the beginner.

Re: Immortality.. could humanity achieve that?
by
MathiasCrow
on 08/11/2018, 18:48:15 UTC
Okay, quess if we already achieved immortality. It raises a lot of new issues humanity never faced before. For example, what should we do with overpopulation? Freeze birth rate to zero?
Moreover, immortality would be extra-deluxe product only for rich people - I doubt common people will have access to it at all.

Re: What would education be like in a society where work was optional?
by
MathiasCrow
on 06/11/2018, 20:38:36 UTC
I think that nothing will change. Labor is always needed. Before the world where all are served only by robots, we are still very far away. And nevertheless, even in this case, people will be needed to service the robots, that is, to repair and control their work.
As for creativity, I agree. In all time it was the most valuable type of human activity. I think, so will be in the future.

I agree, actually. Robots can`t keep robots working, there shall be maintenance people. Same with the art, machines can only imitate but are unable of producing their own works or art (at the moment).
Besides, would the world ever be completely robotized? I bet it won`t be easy to afford fully automatized factory, may be even not every country will be able to purchase / build it and keep operational.
