Guys, is there a definite reference somewhere about what exactly you can set "-dcri" to?  Intensity 5-9 doesn't seem to make much difference for me as far as the output effective in MHash/sec, anyway.

I remember seeing "-dcri 30" somewhere, but I can't put my finger on it.  Seems way out of what I remember.

I am trying "-dcri 12" right now, just to see if it really moves the Mhash/sec

Start with -dcri 1 and increase using your + keyboard key and see whats best for you... just increase slowly.
Anyone correct me if i'm wrong

I think that it doesn’t work with nvidia gpus. With amd just test with + and - till you get the best results.

Hi Guys, I am new here and also new on the mining world.  there is to much information to learn!

I am having issue, with my rig, I can't get more that 16 Mh/s on my GPUs, and i have not cloud what to do, I read the post here and see that each GPUs should be at least around 25Mh/s.

Mine setup is

4 XFX AMD R580 black edition with driver version 23.20

User the latest drivers from AMD.

Adrenalin Edition 18.1.1 - http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%2010%20-%2064

Make sure you go into the AMD settings tool and set your video cards to "compute" not "graphics"...

Where is that setting? I have that driver, GPUs are 290X and 295X2 and I can't find that setting..

not available (not necessary) for 290 and 390 series

Ok, thanks

Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.5 (Windows/Linux)

Hi,
I am Mining Ethereum and Decred (or just Ethereum) with ethermine (and suprnova for Decred).
I have a GTX 1070 (only one, it is my first try on this) in my gaming computer. So I downloaded claymore and followed a few tutorials and explanations about configuring my miner.
I have a good 27.7 Hashrate with stock settings and after OC and some tweaks I have reached 30.5 Hashrate in solo mining.
I am using Windows 8.1 Pro.

My problem is that, for example with the stock settings, my 27.7 hashrate only stays if I am somehow using the computer at the same time that I am mining. If I let it mining alone, closing every other program, etc, my Hashrate drops, in 3 or 4 minutes, to 18. And this happens always, after I have been AFK.
After that, the miner remains in 17~19 for hours, being consistent and stable, but at 18 and not at my 27 peaks.
But, if I stays using the computer, the miner remains in 27~28 being consistent and stable.

Do anyone have any clue about what can be happening ?
I already tried tweaking power options and can't make it change a bit. It is still the same (may be it is still the power options and I lacked on changing the proper setting, i don't know).

Thanks a lot. I am pretty knew on mining.

I quote myself to bump my post.
Do anyone have the same issue ? I've been surfing forums all around and can't find anyone with this issue.

Do anyone have any clue about what can be happening ?
Thanks a lot.

My guess is, that this is related to GPU's power levels. I use GTX 970 on Ubuntu 16.04 and it has four power levels 0..3. When I'm mining, it spontaneously goes to level 2, but I can force it to level 3, and it gives slightly better hashrate with it.

Check GPU's power level, if it changes as your hashrate changes.

Maybe i’m wrong, but I’ve understood that cards nowadays don’t get the same hashrate as same cards few months ago? I know hashrate should stay the same and only difficulty increases.

Hi!

Why ethereum hash rate has gotten slower over time? I’m not talking about increasing difficulty but cards’ decreasing hashrate.

You guys were right. The seller agreed that I can test the card and it gave 5.9 Mh/s and power consumption was 140 watts. Luckily I can return the card.

Gainward GTX 680 4GB and Ethereum mining

Hi!

I’m looking for cheap used gpu’s for ethereum mining and notised sales add about two used Gainward GTX 680 4GB cards. Has anyone experience with these in Ethereum mining?

They have 1536 Cuda cores, which is rather good I think. nVidias reference design is 2GB, but these are 4GB cards.

Very very interesting discussion. Few more questions:

  • What if at one point in time we have zero nodes supporting SegWit? What happens to all the SegWit transactions completed before that point? If old-style nodes do not read beyond 1 MB, does this mean that all those SegWit transactions will be like they never existed?

I think that this is a highly theoretical question. There’s very close to zero probability that nodes would for some reason abandon SegWit.

Is it really so, that mining two coins doesn’t decrease Ethereum hashrate? What is the best coin to mine with Ethereum?

Yes it does lower the ethereum hash rate. Most people think the decrease is not significant. Check what to mine for profitability on the second coin, knowing this always changes. I like Decred

But the profits from the second coin outweighs the 2% devfee (instead of 1%) and the decrease in the ethereum hashrate?

Hi

I have ethos 1.2.9, claymore 10.2 and Gtx 970. Many claim that they get about 15-20 Mh/s ethereum with this card, but I can´t get more than 11 Mh/s.

My ethOS globalcore setting is 1650 and globalmem is 3650.

Can someone who is getting 15-20 mh/s please tell me what they are doing..

Hi!
I’m using ubuntu 16.04.3, AMD GPU Pro 17.40 driver and Radeon 290 card.

Is cclock working with this configuration? I tried 1100 and 1200 setting, but apparently it didn’t have any effect.

I can confirm that cclock and other overclocking settings were not working for me 17.40 (RX 580) , reason was that miner was not able to detect ADL library. Are you seeing ADL library missing error on startup ?

Yes, I get that error..

How can I fix it?

Hi!

I'm using ethOs with ethminer and card is GTX 970 4G. Ethminer shows hashrate 10.3-10.3-10.3-15.7-10.3.-10.3-10.3-15.7 Mh/s. Why every fourth is bigger? Could I do something so that I would get 15.7 Mh/s all the time?

I currently have a cheap nvidia card, and a AMD 570.  I want to be able to have the AMD one come first in the index so that Claymore uses the AMD by default instead of having to specify it.  Firstly is there a way i can just disable CUDA or OpenCL on the nvidia card so Claymore will ignore it?  If not is there a way to renumber them in OS? I want to avoid having to specify the gpu order, beause I am launching claymore using 3rd party app MultiPoolMiner and it isn't easy to specify gpu currently.

Thanks.

Which OS are you running? I would need help on how to install amd and nvidia cards on Ubuntu at the same time..
