Re: Bitcoin price will be $100,000 by 2018

I agree this is extremely possible, right now it is better to just keep on holding bitcoins and dump the alts already. It's not worth buying altcoins right now because this is the time that we should be dumping alts and buying bitcoins as it is quite low right now. The possibility that it would be worth $100,000 in the near future is extremely possible.

What the attack means is that someone or some group is trying to slow down the bitcoin network, this is probably a tactic to push again for a hard fork which is segwit2x coming before the year ends. I guess it is just normal, but I think prices will pump back up before that time since I think segwit2x will just be another altcoin like bch and btg.

Re: BTC Mining vs Buying

I would say to just buy and stop mining, it's not worth the time and effort unless you have super cheap electricity and you live in a place where cooling is not that much needed. I think that's the best place to mine and would be best to profit from mining, if not buying and just waiting for the price to grow is the best idea.

Simple. Buy the dip. Snatch it from the weak hands

That is right. I keep on mining it now.

New price for 7X  RX 580's is 2300 usd.  How old are these rigs?

I think that is quite cheap. It will not more than 6 months old as RX 580 is still new.

Here are some wattmeter readings from my 5x 1080ti Rig.

All 1080tis are founder edition.

+250 core -502 mem
50% pow limit   700W   3885mh/s
55% pow limit   766W   4086mh/s
60% pow limit   840W   4250mh/s
65% pow limit   910W   4408mh/s
70% pow limit   980W   4520mh/s
75% pow limit   1050W   4640mh/s
80% pow limit   1125W   4740mh/s
85% pow limit   1195W   4833mh/s

Specs:

Biostar TB250 BTC
Pentium G4560
4Gb ram
60gb ssd
Evga 1200P2 power supply

240V line.

I run at 80%. Prefer less potential problems than making a couple more dollars. These cards will be running 24/7 for 2-3 years.

That is 4H/J from the wall. It is twice as efficient as my underclocked R9 390 system.

Meanwhile my contacts sent me this allegedly coming out to the market in 2 weeks...

Looks like this card has no video output !

I assume that this is the 1060 Mining Edition, NVIDIA has been talking about.

I think the resale value could be low.

Guys.. my GPUs are working on ethermine.org pool, I have 3% of stale shares.

Is that normal? Can I reduce the number of stale shares?

Or that is a problem with the pool? For example: the pool gives the same job for multiple users/workers?

That is normal. I have 2-5% stale.

Yes I will release new version within a few hours.

Is that faster for R9 390?

how is the mhs for the RX 480 when overclocked and modded the bios?

That will be around 30MH/s.

Nicehash has own stratum specifications for most coins, that's the reason.
Yes I will check it and include in next update, I'm not sure if it's a good idea to release new version just with Nicehash DCR fix.
Currently I'm working on assembler kernels, they will be ready in a few days.

Will that be faster

Re: Starting a ZEC mining farm: Maximum ROI strategy.
by
Maticul
on 27/03/2017, 16:23:25 UTC
your strategy is only possible because of zero electricity, otherwise you would earn much less per month, because the consumption for all those old amd are very high and kill half if not more, of the profit

currently you can make $2k per month(this require accurate selection of the coin you mine, private trading, some times holding etc...) with 2 rig of 1070, so i have your same ROI but i also pay electricity....

So the 1070 is very very efficient.

Not even a 1/6th of investment in first month sadly.

If you can find ANYTHING that recovers that much of the investment in a month please let us know. That is a ridiculous ROI. Honestly the 1 year ROI on bitcoin mining still trounces most other legit investments you can make.

Coin mining is not a get rich quick scheme, but like any other business, if you put the time and effort into it you can be successful.

That's what I keep saying. People complain that it will take 1 year to hit ROI mining when in the actual realm of investing, ROI in 1 year is UNHEARD OF.

If you cannot make you money back in one year in mining, you will not make money back.

If you do not have very cheap electricity, it is better not to start mining now.

Yes, it is getting hard to make ends meet currently. If you already have the rigs there is still some profit to eek out, but if you are just starting out I would advise to try and start with 1 or two GPUs and utilize your existing computer if possible rather than buying a dedicated rig. This way you can work out the numbers yourself as the various online calculators are usually overly optimistic with their profitability predicitions.

It is not a time to expand.

I'm trying to save as much Bitcoins I can and hold them until price rises. But I will not exchange them all, I will leave some for the future too. And I'm looking for good investment opportunities to grow it some more.

That is a good idea. It is better to just hold the coins. They will just rise gradually in the next few years.

This will be the last year i do invest, at 2017 i do believe i will be able to start saving and waiting a better value, i will try to hold my coins till 2020 atleast, that will be the next halving moment after that i dont know what may happen at all.

I think the price of bitcoin will not rise too much in 2017. The highest price could still be below $2000. So you can still buy.
