Re: ETH TO $ 5000

Now that Ethereum are used by most ICO's do you think before the end of the year (2018) ethereum will go up to 5000 usd ?
Because for me I believe that ethereum has a potential to get that price before 2019 . What's your prediction ?
Based on my own TA it is possible that ETH can go up to 10k USD for this year. I also some analysis from trading view that has the same prediction. But again, don't take my word for it so invest at your own risk.

Re: A juniot members suggestion for newbies first posts.

In the "Beginners & Help" thread, maybe there can be a stickied post at top for newbies to introduce themselves if they wish. Seems like a lot of the posts recently in that thread are just that.

I gave the guy a merit for suggesting this. It's something that I've seen in many forums, and I'm a bit embarrassed that I didn't think of suggesting it. Smiley

I think it would be a good idea, and it would save some of the clutter on the index page. It would also make an interesting reference thread.
This is a cool idea. But since most of us are using user names here in the forum, probably some would just provide information regarding them that is probably not true. But still this is quite an interesting idea.

Re: Exchange or Wallet?

I have a question.

What is better? To keep your coins on some Exchange site or to open wallets for each coin?

I would like to hear some advice.  What are pros & cons of each option?

Thanks
I would deepeneds, if the exchange is credible then you can put it there. But if not then store it in your wallet. But if you just want to keep it for long term then I suggest that you just keep it in a ledger wallet.

Re: Crypto ATM - Would you use them?
by
MattMurdockxDD

Lately, I have been seeing many crypto ATM that converts cash into crypto. I am having a tough time understanding the logic behind such machines. I mean, why wouldn't I just go to an exchange and buy crypto? I see no added benefit other than the rather high fees being charged.

Would like to know if any of you have used such an ATM? If so, why?

If you have never used such an ATM, under what circumstances would you consider using it?

Have you checked the exchange rate and the transaction fees for crypto ATM's? If they would offer faster transaction with lesser fees then I think it is just logical to use them instead of exchanges. Plus the fact that crypto ATM's offers convenience in getting fiat money. So with every angle considered I think crypto ATM's would be better than the traditional exchanges.

Re: Beware of Twitter Scammers
by

Not only are the scammers doing the fake accounts that say "send .02 BTC and get triple" but apparently now they are either buying verified accounts or hacking them and changing the names and pictures to cryptocurrency people. Now it can actually be hard to tell if someone is scamming.

An example:https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/967887920991559681

Really shitty that this is happening. Be careful everyone
I think the idea of earning bitcoin quickly just by sending to an unknown address is quite shady already. As bitcoin is gaining popularity in the mainstream news it is now treated as an asses thus if you value your bitcoin it would be under your own decision to send it to an unknown wallet. We should never think that earning bitcoin so quickly is the best way to multiply it. I feel for those who fall into this kinds of scam. Scammers like these only arise if there are people that are willing to be fooled.

Re: Lightning Network Centralizied?
by
MattMurdockxDD
on 21/02/2018, 09:58:42 UTC
I've been hearing and reading rumors that lightning network could lead to a layer 2 centralization? But at times i can't believe what others call Centralisztion.

Yes I Know a bank or company can open a payment channel but in my eyes, that doesn't make it centralized. I think certain people throw the centralization word around loosely because they have never really experienced true centralization.

any thoughts?
If that is the case then I think they should quit into the crypto industry. What is the point that you are joining the crypto  market but would have a centralized set up? The whole point of crypto is for the decentralization. I think most people wont jump into this plan given the current set up.

Hopefully Lauda and Theymos gets to see this. This just show that the merit system is fool proof and prone to scam accounts. In my opinion, I think we have more valid members than the bogus ones.

Re: Does Merit System Fair to everyone?
by
MattMurdockxDD
on 21/02/2018, 09:37:48 UTC
This Merit System became an issue these days. Maybe, in general this Merit System takes this forum away from those trolls and shitposters. However, it seems impossible to have hundreds of Merit given by a nice man to ranked up.

If there is no individuals who are responsible for giving Merit, therefore the Merits that we had today are just circulating to us. On the other hand, to ranked up is very hard to achieve or impossible to achieve either.

Those Juniors will still be Juniors, Seniors will still be Seniors and same apply to others. If we look on it, there is no one who waste their time looking for those quality and constructive posts just to give his/her Merit, impossible.

To end this;

I suggest that there should be individuals that will give Merits like those who give green and red trust (Dt's).
Agree with your sentiments. The new merit system is unfair for those who does quality posts. But over all I think this is fair for all the members of the forum. What I could suggest is that they could have new DT's that is credible and can have a certain amount of merits they can share to JR MEMBERS and MEMBERS who does quality posts.

Re: why bitcoin is banned by the government
by
MattMurdockxDD
on 24/01/2018, 08:30:51 UTC
is not that bitcoin able to change the state of its users which effects also on the state of the country's economy, why even banned hemzzz Grin Huh
Probably they are in fear of money laundering. Since most of the countries has no regulations yet when it comes to crypto currency, then the opportunity for the black market people to use this is high. Well it happened before in some countries already so the chances of it happening again would be huge. Well this is just my opinion though.

Re: Verge. Who's HODLing?
by
MattMurdockxDD
on 23/01/2018, 08:01:03 UTC
Verge is a pretty cool project and right now in the correction period I think it's worth taking it because I saw what it's capable of, so I would happily take this token if there were free money.
XVG is a pretty good hodl, however we are not sure about its futures given that the recent increase of its price was associated with the comments from John mcafee.
Its pretty amazing how the alt coin market reacts from this kinds of news but for me honestly, XVG is a keeper. You can enjoy is waves and endure the dips. At the end of the day just HODL it.

Re: Ban New altcoins
by
MattMurdockxDD
on 22/01/2018, 08:45:53 UTC
I think its time to ban new altcoins from coming in, there should be a limit on how many altcoins there should be per year
so that people can actually profit from investing in altcoin.
Hello, I think we should have a regulation for new altcoins to remove the shitcoins from the decent ones. If we will totally ban or limit it per year, there is a possibility that we are removing the good alts.
