Can someone provide the blockchain height they believe accurate?

Why don't you check the block explorer?

http://explorer.cryptoblox.com/chain/CornerstoneCoin

P.S. It's listed in the op.

I did..try.  Repeatedly in fact.  Site wouldn't load.  I see it loads now - which is nice.

...
Hope that helps

It all helps mindfox, much gratitudes.  It was getting to a point where dumping the price down to 1 satoshi to get out was almost on the table.

However, now I've been staking every couple of minutes like clockwork.  We've got a block explorer again.  We have new things on horizon.  Bittrex is fully up with WATER.  Things seem stable overall.

As long as our admin doesn't lose heart I'm still all-in.  In truth it is now one of the last two SCRYPT clones I've stuck with; that coupled with the history on WATER is really saying something in general about the resilience of everyone still around.

So, thank you again to all who contribute and stick around for all that is to come later.

Re: Gridseed blade - blown cap - need help
by

Sir, I believe that is a ferrite bead.   I am far far from expert on this type of thing and I am basing that only on the label on the board but believe that is what it is.     What makes you think that particular component is bad?  If it is just because it is a short I think that is expected unless I am mistaken.  HTH.

I have a short in one of my blade halves that I have no idea how to even begin to figure out, when I put my meter between any - and + of the 12v (for instance the power plug, or anywhere) my meter (autoranging ) immediately jumps to 0.000XX ohms like a dead short then quickly goes to about 0.58 kOhm and settles there.

I added a heatsink a week ago to the back of the board (of course with epoxy...bleh) and after that when powering it with that stupid barrell conector gridseed loves I heard the unmistakable bzzt like there was a short so I immediately unplugged and the above is what I've found with the meter.  Its been dead since as I didn't think powering it would be wise and I don't know where to begin looking.

The way the meter behaves seems different than say touching the leads together or putting the leads across a known value resistor (or one of the beads even)  thinking it may be indicative of something.  Could be my imagination and inexperience though , but it is not a dead short...

Any idea on mine?  Where to even start looking?

Thanks!  I was hypothesizing a ferrite bead from the "FB" as well plus it would make sense coming off the usb lines.  I know they are bad on each half as one is exploded and the other cracked in half.  Smiley  The explosion made me 2nd guess the FB and label it cap more than anything because it made such a wonderful sacrifice when I had (+) touch (-) input while moving things around - I of course had the thought a mere 20sec prior to just unplug PSU..just unplug..but ohh missed hash..unplug..hash..unplug..and hash won for a stellar 20 seconds more!  LOL - Such a noob.

Sorry I don't know enough to triage a hive of bees outside going after the big items, like the mosfets or barrell caps.

I don't know which is worse, a high ticket item that can't pay for itself - OR the fact that leftover blades are now $750, down 50% from 6 weeks ago.

The aspect I am not quite getting it why this cap (assuming it must be) has yellow/gold trim rather than the std silver.. I tried to find info about that presuming it is a higher sensitivity but I can't dig up any part/example.

It would help if I knew for sure it was a cap and I could just throw in a large one in that pkg and fire it up.

Thanks in adv.

I need help identifying the cap on my blades next to right of the usb port.

I hate to just guess before replacing the one circled in green:

Any lead someone knowledgable has is much appreciated..
I won't go into how I shorted it because I feel stupid enough as is.

Thank you!

Are we on moon already or still on Sahara desert dying of thirst? :-) When does my wallet starts staking and dropping some extra fresh water? It's been unlocked for ages already and still nothing.

haha..

did you wait 20 days?

20 days? Damn. I don't think so. Do I have to have the wallet unlocked for 20 days nonstop without even restarting PC? Or the time 20 days is calculated for the time when wallet is unlocked? So if for example I keep my wallet unlocked 12 hours a day, then basically staking starts after 40 days?

WATER's POS "coin age" accumulates regardless of the wallet being open.  You can wait for 20 days then open it if you like.  If the coin were POS only I wouldn't recommend this if you hold a lot of water, but that is a different topic.

They say in real-estate that value is determined by 3 things: location, location, location.

In so many other areas, the adoption curve is actually not done by the "best" of anything.
It can be the FIRST.  It can even be the last sometimes if the best..But usually it is:

BRAND [Marketing] BRAND

WATER has bad brand history, slowing being wiped out though.
WATER has incredible brand potential, which simply needs intelligent leadership to capitalize on it.

In fact, WATER has one of the highest brand potentials of any other coin right now.
=> What person would say "no, I don't think people should have clean water."

Won't happen...The potential to market adoption & usage is easy with a little know-how, patience, some luck sure, and timing.

Once the bumps are ironed out, confidence restored for longer than days at a time, then it is a marketing landslide.

Meanwhile I keep buying the under-valued happily - Sellers are free to keep selling low, please don't stop on our account.

As for crypto_ripper's loss, I still think others need to step up.  I know I am not the only one who can fart out 25K to put their coin where their mouth is about long-term viability.  Smiley  I will never mention this again on his case.

The coin age shouldn't be lost if there isn't a confirmed transaction for the coin stake age.  However, if you really want to be sure one can always use the repair commands..And in the most extreme case one can rebuild a wallet using only the keys and force the client to rely on only the blockchain itself which is all that it could "see" at that point..It isn't that hard or even that many steps but it does take some patience and care.

Thanks for your information. After type the command "repairwallet" in debug window, the lost balances came back to my wallet. What a simple step that I even not trying to find out!

I had this wrong cognition just because the "cryptorush" trading site claimed that they lost plenty blackcoin in staking stage when they updated the wallet version. Maybe the real reason of their blackcoin balances mismatch wasn't due to wallet update.

YW.  Also with BC it may have been the case that a new wallet had a defect or intended outcome of affecting coin age - I don't know either way w/o reading, but it is possible that there was nothing nefarious in the cryptorush claim and every exchange/user was impacted the same way.

Well PM me or put it here - Either way the worst case is I can't cover it all.  As to who should foot the burden, I see it as a non-altruistic means to an end to step in..IOW - The happier the community is the better chance we move things forward.  If that means dropping some WATER to someone who cared enough to re-raise the issue, then so be it.  I'm not a hero, just selfishly interested in seeing the project get somewhere useful.

So send the screen and let's see what I can/can't do Smiley

To put my WATER where my mouth is, I wasn't able to cover the whole loss for him.  Hopefully however I made a big dent for crypto_ripper and ideally other's will follow suit if they believe his claim is just.

So that my talk isn't just "cheap" => Transaction ID: 7d791226010527cceeebe1b0da90ad54c1667bcd2e3b72d11a08516b9a194527

CWC Community:: I chatted with crypto_ripper.  I think he has a legitimate loss of over 100K coins from the old pool.  I know it sounds very high on the surface, but I also think that he has been polite and not trying to scam anyone for the many weeks this issue has been open.

=> As everyone can see I put up 25K to his address (WATER/5nxkmqZEVtUkTtCfnxBzPY5WYzobEp24C2) which is the dest in the transaction above.

I am asking the community to help cover the other 75K lost.  If you don't want to then just move on.  If you think it is a collusion or scam between him & I, then I can't say anything to sway you over this issue open for many weeks.

Admittedly the pool admins should've worked this out already, however as I noted earlier I think the most important thing is that the image of the community is strong and supportive and that means taking care of the problems collectively.

My Windows wallet gets stuck at block 41131 - anyone else having this issue?

I did - At the time the CONF on page 1 did not help by itself.  I had to clean, use the CONF, and even go to the extreme of using "connect=" when I got close to the sticking/fork pt.  Others were..more lucky.

My wallet was stuck at 41299. Same as the Block Explorers: http://cryptoblox.com/chain/CornerstoneCoin.
Unfortunately, I had around 1.8M coins in staking stage. After re-download the blockchain undoubtedly the staking coin were gone.

Just tell someone else remember to backup the wallet before the wallet begin to stake. That's the way to get the coin back from wrong blockchain. Or is there other ways to save this situation that I didn't know?

For those that were talking about a LTC market, we already have one at swaphole.com.  There is also a DOGE market there for CCX.

I should feel silly I guess.. I just do everything with bittrex and don't venture to swaphole, but I will take a peek at least.

I asked Richie about a paid spotlight on bittrex and may solicit a coordinated buy from people - However it also only makes sense (to me) if there is an ltc market open there as well.  Obviously a coordinated buy is tricky since I don't expect anyone to trust me..So I am mulling over asking him if he would take a refundable deposit from a small group of people.

Some exciting news is coming! Some of you already know, but for the rest of you -- stay tuned!! Wink

Is it out coins from the old pool that we haven't got yet?

How much do you believe you are missing?  What's your addr?  If it is a reasonable amt with some detail that supports it then out of my pocket I would be willing to back-fill on good faith (having nothing to do with the main pool).

..Because I'd rather jump in here and give some coin to help move passed the gap/issue so they can focus energy on a stable wallet and the 1% donation.

Wow you must be "Water rich" lol I did take a screenshot of it but if you don't have anything to do with the main pool then it's not you who should be covering it.

any working nodes for this coin i am unable to sync the wallet.

I had to resort to "connect=" with the couple known IPs to get passed the fork - It took awhile but finally pulled me passed the forked chain (starting from a cleared blockchain).

page 1 OP shows these two IPs:
54.186.134.64
23.97.129.104

I also have/keep my wallet open connected to them & 8 others, so in theory those 2 should get ya going.

Hey CCX COiners... Are we all holding .00000001 unexchangeable coins?

What is going on with Coin to make us keep holding and hanging around?  Cornerstone can still take off...

yea - sucks doesn't it???

LOL

a little bit yes.  :/  this coin is not sitting dead in the water though.  it is on exchanges, there are plenty of coins for use.. now how to use them?  how to garner interest?  possibly some kind of Coin Revival - sponsored by us CCX holders.  We need some development of some sort.... games, faucets, something innovative that we can get the coins to some coiners and let them spread slowly through the forums.  many of us are somewhat techy... we have friends or someone who would want to invest in creating something for CCX?

IMHO the coin is dead - if there are no buyers then the coin is dead.

if you can find buyers it has life.

And finding buyers means having a price people are willing to risk a purchase on - That means being under an LTC exchange (for example) and not BTC.  Under LTC then CCX would be able to express a value low enough that can make sense to buyers ..other coins are traded this way today.  So as a seller nobody is going to clean-up but that isn't the point if it garners movement.  Look @ poloniex & bittrex LTC exchanges with coins trading at 100 or less satoshi - Some of them only [still] exist because of that.

Were it me, I'd tell Richie to put CCX under LTC market - And ask for a frontpage ad..we then all pitch in whatever he needs to get it done.

Also, there needs to be some massive giveaway..a faucet with the goal of 100M coins to give away, which comes from all of us - I would put up 1% of that 100M in a heartbeat if there was a coordinated give-away ..because nothing-to-lose.
