Building ultimate trust and cease deceit will end the need in encryption, and, what's more, this needs the least of resources of all means, but is the most utopian idea ever too.  Grin

Re: Bitcoin wobbles as traders turn to other cryptocurrencies amid uncertain future

What you should be looking at is bitcoin dominance.
http://coinmarketcap.com/charts/#btc-percentage
Bitcoin accounts for 69% of total crypto market cap now, which is very low when you see its overall history. It was ~85% a month back.
I will not be surprised to see bitcoin dominance getting back to over 80% really soon. Bitcoin price have already showing signs of next bull run, money will flow back to bitcoin and dominance will grow again.
It should, more will be prone to buy it at a lower price.

Gold will not go anywhere, because it's real. But bitcoin is in doubt. When people stop using crypto currency, bitcoin will disappear.
There has to be a really good reason for people to stop using crytocurrencies, especially not to develop these.

Re: Human Rights aka New Church?
by
Matthias Green
on 15/03/2017, 13:58:36 UTC
It crossed my mind recently, that (trans)human/animal rights in certain regions have long ago ceased to be aimed at defending interests of common men and nature. Instead they became increasingly selfserving and often work side by side with corporations and governments as their "soft power" appendage.

May it be possible, that indeed, NGOs are turning into sort of Church, with Karl Marx their Saint and cultural marxism their doctrine?

Corporations as the new aristocracy, NGOs as the new Church, population enslaved by guilt shaming and ever rising taxes and work hours.

Maybe you are referring to different communist countries. They are the only ones who don't care about human rights and all they care is power over the population. In Sweden for example working hours are only 6 and they are very productive there while in Russia ,China and other communist countries they work from Monday to Saturday and have only one day off work. I thank God I live in the USA.

Well, neither China nor Russia are communist. Though, Russia's more likely in the post-traumatic state after socialism which terminates individual responsibility otherwise than through punishment.

Re: Bitcoin may need to be HIGH-VOLUME digital cash to survive

Well powers of individual gadgets are growing, so if any device, for example, contains a dedicated portion of calculation power to permanently maintain hashing, and with the development of wireless energy, it may look possible. But the face of the entire industry will change with the help of such means.

I think it really can not die but adopt, or be adopted, by some kind of innovative tech and transform following the rest of the world. Yet for now it's really the other way around.  Tongue

Re: Learning a new language

In my opinion to learn other language online Duolingo website is one the best methods.
Was trying to learn German but on some other resources. Is this one decent enough?
Learning german is really a pain in the ass. I work in Austria for a year now, but still not sure when to use der, die or das. Cheesy (I've earned language certificate like 10 years ago, but never used german after that for 9 years).
Either Austrians are really polite or you have a real innate talent. Grin Yes, to learn those I really lack patience...

No it is not died and not going to die but nowadays it is a little away from the screen and the reason is that its developer do not work for it to promote in the market they do not support it to implement it in different markeplace. They have to work for it to promote it more to start services with this currency.
And why is that, are they going to just leave it or what?

Re: Is taxation theft?

There can be a situation of getting too far away. Really knowledgeable people sometimes get lost in their reality or get used to situation when small percent of students do understand their material due to better background and others don't that they just slip into delusion that everyone is getting more stupid and there's no need to go with the time forward. And, though, their proficiency in discipline can be over the top, the proven overconfidence in it, and the less so about themselves, get their communication skills and ability to teach more and more dull, and nothing could be done due to authority gained.

Re: Bitcoin or gold?
by
Matthias Green
on 03/02/2017, 16:36:45 UTC
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

Comparison between Bitcoin and gold, Bitcoin is a real currency unlike gold you need to sell it first before it become a real money. Bitcoin is very safe and secured while gold is not very safe and secured and there is a chance that can be steal by the thief.

To be fair, bitcoin wallets can be stolen too. And, you cannot implement BTC any other way than currency, electronic currency that is. Gold will retain its value to the end of times, more or less, because its a valuable material by itself.

Obviously we do react to solar activity. I do usually check electromagnetic situation, but very potent flares much likely disrupt electronics too, and much more severely than human bodies.

Re: ^^ What does this sign mean?

It's the expression of the eyes closed in joy or delight or on similar occasions. When someone is feeling oneself to have that face — here's your sign. The more you know.
