Again, there was zero threat

that is 100% false.  he absolutely threatened to abandon the network, and you know this, because I posted a screenshot of him saying so in a public chat. I'll post it again for people who may just now be joining the conversation:  https://imgur.com/BOJYaQb

you are arguing that we shouldn't take Bryce seriously when he threatens to leave the coin, but that we should still believe all his promises.

you are resorting to mocking and belittling me because my point is rooted in logic. normally i'd return in kind, but will decline to do so in the hopes that the gravity of this situation might begin to set in with you.

these responses I'm getting from you guys here are not dissimilar to that of an emotionally abused spouse: "oh he didn't mean it and it was our fault anyway"

you want me to stop "whining" because deep down you are afraid that he will actually leave if I continue.

whatever you invested into TAO, consider it a tuition fee for learning, up close and personal, what incompetence looks like.

wow, this is getting sleazy.

hey Bryce, how much did you pay these guys to bury my screenshot of you saying you've been considering abandoning the TAO network entirely?  The quality is even worse than the people you got to code altmarket

-We were told by Bryce that IAOs would be smart contracts on the TAO chain
-however, this feature was never implemented in TAO.
-first IAO is just an eth token
-the only intrinsic value of TAO is Bryce's promise that it will be the official coin of altmarket.
-but now he threatens to pull the rug out from under it and render the coin worthless if people continue to tell him in public that he is performing poorly.

This is your leader:

"Not three weeks ago I almost dumped this network and started over because the attitude was garbage."
-Bryce Weiner

Project is failing, leader blames bagholders and threatens to abandon the coin.

A) "leader" ?
B) "failing" ??  Cheesy

This is what he was referring to, posted in the slack on May 17th:

http://acgimg.s3.amazonaws.com/Bryce-Slack-2019-05-17-threat-to-replace-Tao.jpg

but then he said this the next day:

http://acgimg.s3.amazonaws.com/Bryce-Slack-2019-05-18-not-planning-to-replace-Tao.jpg

Anyway, he wasn't blaming people holding the coin, he was blaming the tedious and confused fudders and trolls like your good self.

I actually just met Bryce in person yesterday and he showed me something very cool I can't tell you about now, but you'll see pretty soon.  I will say that it relates to this tweet:
https://twitter.com/BryceWeiner/status/1133147416650059776

call me names and dismiss this news if you insist, but Bryce's words, actions, and inactions, speak for themselves.
how could you not be concerned that the lead (sole?) developer and father of this whole project has been considering abandoning the coin because he doesn't like what his own supporters are saying to him during the worst price decline in the history of the asset?

furthermore, you're trying to reassure us that its all good because one day he threatened to ditch TAO and launch a new coin, then the next day reneged on the threat with an "lol."  This kind of erratic wild-card behavior is not what makes an effective leader, its some donald trump shit.  consistency and stoicism would be a great start, but I don't see that happening.

Again, he didn't consider abandoning it. I didn't take it seriously, I'm not sure why you did.

bro, wtf is wrong with you?  he literally said "Not three weeks ago I almost dumped this network and started over because the attitude was garbage."

You're right Mr Matty, he is a wild card, but you do have to retain some common sense. This is the coin that Bryce has spent the longest on, it's the one with 3 years of community building, the one he that has integrated into his other companies infrastructure, and as he Bryce has repeatedly stated, it's the one that holds the title "Bryce's final product". He's not our leader or sole developer, he's a solid chap who's part of the community that just so happens to be using Tao with his other businesses. I'm aiming to do the same.

If you're gonna take what was clearly a motivational tool so literally, I'd love to set you up with my friend Amelia Bedelia, you'd get along like a house on fire (Wait!)

I don't find it motivating at all, I find it demoralizing.
