https://shop.futurebit.io/ I can see standard w/o power available for order now.if you are interesting.
Oh, interesting! The SSD was upgraded to 1TB. From which batch on will that be? Batch 3? Batch 4? I remember FutureBit guys still saying 500 was easily enough a few months back. Cool to see they changed their mind; just wondering when to expect the 'cutoff' between 500GB full packages and 1TB ones.

From what I read, all of the Batch 3 units were upgraded.

Yes we upgraded all Batch 3 orders to the 1TB drive!

When batch3 units orders will resume dispatch.
Thank you!

So I am NEWBIE and have ordered an Apollo BTC with a Full Node. Does the Apollo only mine BTC or can it mine Doge/Litecoin?  If it can mine DOGE/Litecoin, how do I go by it?  What is the average BTC return monthly?  Anyone have a list of mining pools that are recommended and profitable?

Maybe try to find a used Apollo LTC from FutureBit if you want to mine doge or ltc it’s the correct algorithm

It will give you ~ 65$ /month in eco mode

In bitcoin?

Check for SHA256 to see more....

Back to my earlier question, which got lost in the shuffle:

Any updated to when LN will be available?

There wasn't even a single update to miner binary software since initial release in May 2021, and you are talking about LN?!  Grin miner binary crashes almost everyday, no Raspberry Pi releases as promised... I wouldn't count on LN this year. I understand jstefanop and team are busy, so I wait - but just replying realistically to you - leave it running for a few months, maybe something (hopefully) will be released then.

Lots of work going on in the background. Unfortunately were still focused on scaling production, but that will shift to software once we start shipping Batch 3 in the next few months.

That being said 0.3.2 will be released in the next few weeks with updated miner binaries, lots of GUI fixes, 32 and 64bit RPi binaries etc.

Yes! Production first!

One other question: My BTC is running on turbo.  The hashboard shows:

HASHBOARD #0
Hashrate 3.12 Th/s
Temp 68°c
Fan Speed   2828 rpm
Power 202 W
Voltage 8.26 v
Error   0.9%
Active ASICs 44

However, the hashrate is 3.10 Th/s and the temp is 81.67°c at the top left of the dashboard.

While I'm inclined to believe the lower number, he top number has me worried.  Any guidance?

Thanks!

my echo mode top left ONLINE
2.04 Th/s
55.00°C
hash
Active
HASHBOARD #0
 2.08 Th/s
56°c   1845 rpm   124 W   7.99 v   1%   44

I use my in echo mode. until node was fully sync it was above 70 now it less 60.

Are you running node? in case node sync you might see high temp SBC comp? I believe recommendation while node in sync don't run turbo.

Yeah, I was running it in turbo mode for about an hour while the last tenth of a percent of the blockchain was synchronizing.  Rookie mistake that could've cost me my hardware.  Everything is all caught-up, I have 29/32 connections with the following stats:

HASHBOARD #0
Hashrate 3.03 Th/s
Temp 66°c
Fan Speed   2823 rpm
Power 203 W
Voltage 8.31v
Error   0.9%
Active ASICs 44

The temp is 60.00°c at the top left of the dashboard.

What is the difference between the two temperatures?  Different components?

Well I thought I had it but I havent. Miner restarted and now stuck at 10 connections again. I've checked the port is open with various checkers online and the IP address for the Apollo is static. Also allowed port access with my firewall (not that it should affect the router I suppose as its on my main PC). But still its stuck at 10 connections.

Did you ever solve this?

I just got my device, port forwarded 8333 and cannot get above 10 connections.  It's ramps right up and hit that 10 ceiling.

wait until node fully sync.

One of my units is having problems and I can't seem to get in contact with anyone. The node unit sounds like a fan might be failing and I have to regularly restart the mining or reboot the entire system to keep it going. It's also noisy as heck. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

looks like fan on sbc 2 screws needs to tight.

Full Apollo BTC package arrived a little over a week ago. Was up and running within minutes. It’s been mining smoothly ever since, but I’ve yet to have any success getting the node started up.

When I go to the node dashboard and click the start button, it says “please wait while the node is starting up” and indicates that this should take 5-15 minutes. This is as far as I’ve gotten though—eventually, after ~30 minutes it just cycles back to the original “node is offline” page with a start button. .

I’ve tried a dozen or so times and the same thing has happened each time. Also rebooted a couple times and triple-checked the instructions and haven’t been able to resolve the problem. I haven’t heard of anyone else having this issue and I’m wondering if I’m missing something.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
Try reseating the node drive (power down, take out and reinsert)

Thanks for the response. I gave that a try, but unfortunately it didn't resolve the issue.

Below, I've included some additional info about my experience that I hope might provide some clues as to what the issue could be:

It sounds like in most people's experience, the node started syncing automatically the first time they powered on their units and that there was some kind of status tracker showing their Block Sync Progress as a percentage. This never happened for me.

Another point I found puzzling is that when I click on the node dashboard tab, it says:

Node is offline. Double-check your USB node drive is plugged in the USB port in the back of your Apollo, properly formatted with the folder name "Bitcoin" in the root directory, and press the Start button below.

The wording of this confuses me as my understanding is that the node operates on the NVMe SSD rather than through a USB drive (granted, I'm a noob, so maybe I'm misunderstanding how the terms are being used). Lastly, when I search through the files on my system, I can't find any with the folder name "Bitcoin"...

Thanks in advance for any additional suggestions.

have you tried to re-flash sd on sbc?

If everyone would go ahead and wait a few minutes after the batch three release before they place their orders so that I can make sure to get my orders in, I’d appreciate it a great deal. Thanks!

From the email it did sound like they’ll have enough stock for a few days of orders… We’ll see.

Yes, let us know once you ordered:)

OK, you're good to go ahead and place an order now.  Thanks for waiting.  I really appreciate your cooperation.  Ordering process was smooth and easy.  I'll be waiting to receive my unit and give one of these little guys a job helping to heat my house this winter.  Good luck to everyone else snatching these things up this morning.  Smiley

Thank you! Ordered my too:)

Just curious from what ## batch 3 orders started?

There was a typo in the Subject line, its 8/31 (tomorrow) at 2PM EDT
What is happening tomorrow? Preorders for R3 in U.S. start?

Not only US for all:)

Weird, it was / is already possible in EU since 19th of august!
https://www.bitshopper.de/shop/sha-256-miner/standalone-miner-bitcoin/futurebit-apollo-btc-miner/

I guess they use special quote. I would not order from EU send to NA.
