I never thought about the origin of the name before in my life, you wowed me.  Wink
I don't truly feel safe in that I don't really trust fiat, it devaluates  my income so I have to select something for investment.
I read some of your articles and I love your Bit Civilization and the supposed more advanced world where Bitcoin and blockchain make a difference.
my question is, why are you so confident in its coming, it seems extremely and exceptionally distant and unlikely, just a concept. How could you firmly believe Bitcoin has the power to defeat governments and become the incarnation of justice?
yes, numerous new consensus would be reached and countries would compromise. But I do doubt the power of Bitcoin in the battle with governments.
Bitcoin is powerful, but not that powerful.

Re: Currency is not the same price, you can buy low and sell high profit?
by

you can make a profit of $4,000. I am considering doing this.
As a rule of thumb whenever there is a big gap between exchanges that remains that way for a long time there is always something wrong. Because if there were indeed a 8-9% difference and there were $4k profit to be made there were hundreds of other active arbitrage traders who would have taken advantage of it and grabbed the profit hence closing the gap.
I‘m curious about why would big gap appear? why would some exchanges set their price lower than the market? who'll take the loss? if they just meant to attract users then how would the developer make up the loss? businessmen are always wily and shrewd so I just couldn't figure it out!
I know some traders bought robot to achieve that process but I don't know whether it worked or not
it is not the same as commodities in stores where the owner can willfully adjust the price. the fact is no one can buy Bitcoin with a discount

I have a question, that is, when I replied to a post, then if someone quoted my message, how could I know it without checking the original thread? I've been bothered by the question for some time and it makes me feel kind of lonely here since I cannot feel others' feedback on my words except by merits or deleted notice.
one of my friends quit because she envied others for their merit coz she had zero. Though I do think her words really don't deserve merit, her confidence wasn't satisfied anyway. Sad

welcome, buddy. I'm a newbie,too.
you mentioned that you wanna achieve success in this forum, I believe you can do it as long as you're really learning and trying to help.
to begin with, some rules you are suppose to know: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0
thank you, mprep, for rendering rules clear for everyone, esp, newbies.
and about bumping changes on some boards: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183553.0
one facet of success, is, undoubtedly, the number of merit. As I see it, posts of high quality is the prerequisite of garnering merit. you can focus on technology related if interested or your opinion about the situation.
I think the experience of this member should be helpful: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3339476 and one of his posts is of inspiration as least for me: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5353483.msg57659361#msg57659361
to produce good output, enough input, that is, reading, is needed.  kxwhalexk did a fantastic job.
I'll list some of my role models here, they success can serve as your reference.
and his advice of merit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5347271.0
[/list]
it helps to make your words logic and clear, which means you can learn to use the tools when typing, such as bold or some lists like I did above.
success is contribution. wish you a good journey in this forum Smiley

Re: Can BTC become the world central currency?
by
Maxine4466
on 14/08/2021, 09:14:33 UTC
I think Bitcoin can and will certainly become the world central currency. Sure, governments are a huge factor in hindering that from coming true but I believe a state of balance between Bitcoin and governments will be put forward since Bitcoin is irresistible.
I know people don't like USD in dominating the world currency and the inflation followed, sometimes I feel bad about that, too. the only weapon available is Bitcoin. if all people in the globe reach a consensus on Bitcoin, then I'm sure governments have to accept and adapt to Bitcoin.
Satoshi gave us the chance and we must seize on it to end the current system which is unfair and wild. we need to support Bitcoin and make it a consensus.

in-depth notion. governments are undoubtedly another obstacle in making Bitcoin the world currency and it's likely that we'll be always living under the supervision of countries as a shelter.
I wonder, would there be oneday when we escape from country system or any settlement could be put forward to render all countries accept and uphold Bitcoin?
maybe Bitcoin will follow the old routine of gold---most of it gets hoarded by governments as the anchor of value. I don't know how gold in inventory would be used as I have no idea about why countries would hoard Bitcoin. and if that really comes true, different to gold, no Bitcoin would be in circulation as I see it since it has no practical and physical usage.
the prospect of Bitcoin's rising to be a world currency is grim

Re: What is Bit Civilization?
by

elusive yet impressive remarks!
I know not so much about human history but I do feel Bitcoin is factually leading us into a new era, esp, in the world of network.
I'm fed up with the exploitation that governments imposed on people, particularly the hegemony of USD, I hate it when a lot of money got printed, that devalues my wealth!
nothing can save us from that jam, but Bitcoin and blockchain can. I think we humans are in desperate need of Bitcoin and I couldn't wait to embrace this Bit Civilization. what Bitcoin brought to us is more than a tool of wealth maintenance, it is revolution, to shake off the chain of centralization. we need a fairer, freer and opener society

I have tried that strategy before but I found it really drab to me. It entails time and energy for you to look at the price, figure out the prefect time to buy and then you need to find an appropriate time to sell.
If you yearn for just several dollars, you can sell in a few hours or even minutes, but it turns out to be not worth your energy, "Do I really need to spend this energy on the few dollars?"
If you hanker for a considerable amount of money, either you invest a lot or you wait for some time, maybe a few weeks or even years. That is risky coz if you invest a lot, it's probably you lose a lot. though the price seems low now, it might slump in the next second; if you need to wait for a long time, then the price is more unpredictable!
always taking profit sounds like a good idea, but I really don't recommend it

Sure, I cannot agree with you more!
you really made a difference in this forum, I admire your knowledge in technology relevant to crypto world, for example, asymmetric encryption. I tried to learn it and I figured it out then and forgot very soon...you are a diligent and clever person with a strong will
in reference to merits and ranks, I don't envy you guys with high merits(not really, lol) you did a good job, I have to say. I'll treat you as my role models.
It's hard for me to spend too much here since I have to do my work, but I really enjoy being in here
I used nearly one year just reading in this forum and then I started my account to share my opinions occasionally. anyway, I'm inspired here and I'll do some reflection. maybe I should read more and then reply, to provide notion of higher quality and improve myself
good output entails huge amount of input

Re: Trading is not a Game .
by
Maxine4466
on 09/08/2021, 08:03:38 UTC
well, for me. trading is sometimes a game actually.
Bitcoin and ETH are immunity necause I have faith in them. I have those two coins since last year and I never sold them, not a penny. Though their price surged and slumped and is currently going up in general, I won't sell. I store them not for short-term trade.
but for other altcoins, especially these newly launched, I check their whitepaper and allocation of funds and other indexes to decide whether it's a trap. after that, I'll choose some of the relatively reliable one for minor investment, if I'm lucky enough to get a good project, I earn, otherwise I lose. the process is of fun for me, like a game.
the game is based on some analysis, of course. learning is absolutely needed
investing blindly is throwing away money to some extent

Re: Can developing countries follow El Salvador use Bitcoin?
by
Maxine4466
on 07/08/2021, 06:44:40 UTC
I'm afraid not.
link about El Salvador's recognition of Bitcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5342087.0
as this article https://www.coindesk.com/president-of-el-salvador-says-hes-submitting-bill-to-make-bitcoin-legal-tender put it:
"the fiscally unstable and oppressively poor Central American nation, where 70% of residents lack a banking account. El Salvador’s gross domestic product was $24.6 billion in 2020, according to Statista."
Thus we can see the main reason behind El Salvador's policy:
it's poor, which indicates weak government and fiat
70% of residents have no bank account
expensive and inconvenient cross-border payments
dislike for the exploitation imposed by USD on their fiat
It counts on the concrete national condition. some developing countries like China are rather different to El Salvador, so I don't think China will follow El Salvador, at least for a short term. and as far as I know, China has launched its own DCEP

Re: What Would Be Your Reason to Leave Bitcointalk?
by
Maxine4466
on 06/08/2021, 07:55:44 UTC
This forum represents my faith in crypto filed. I'll always believe in Bitcoin, blockchain and Satoshi. So...until death do us apart.
I feel happy here. people of high ranks are not smug and I've never been laughed at for my poor merit. What we have is pure discussion.
I won't leave here forever but only for days, weeks or even months coz I have a job and teaching occupies much of my attention.
If I get super rich, I won't leave since wealth needs management; if poor, I won't as well because I need to snap out of it by my coins.

Re: Never Trade On Emotions
by
Maxine4466
on 05/08/2021, 13:15:11 UTC
But your preference is your death trap! To survive in the market, the first thing is to eliminate all preferences in the market. The temptation of the market is always to get you to death through your preferences. What the market needs is the love of dew, not the love of wing, and things like forever have nothing to do with the market. The only thing that lasts forever in the market is to win money. Anyone who comes to the market has the purpose of winning money. Anything that has nothing to do with winning is nonsense.
To
It must be understood that any reason for you to buy a stock is not because of how good the stock is or how well it has been fooled. It is just that you are trying to win money by buying. The stocks that can win money are good, otherwise they are all. nonsense. Therefore, any preference in the market is a trap that leads you into a lost way. You must see through them one by one, and then change your mind in order to survive in the market.

Re: Ethereum To PKR Best Cryptocurrency Exchange
by

It is unlikely that Ethereum will move out of a separate trend away from Bitcoin. All altcoins rise and fall with Bitcoin. Of course, this year, Taiwan may have a good trend. If a token has its own good news, there will be a stronger rise in the phase of Bitcoin's rise. Today seems to be an upgrade in London, but I did not see significant price fluctuations.

Good. You are really efficient. You can get so many merits in just two months. It seems that I not only need to work hard on the quality of the posts, but also need to increase the number of my posts. In this way, it is possible to get more merits. Improve your level. But my main purpose is to learn in the forum. Merit is not so important to me when I came here. Congratulations.

Re: Strange Work of Sorting Topics
by
Maxine4466
on 01/08/2021, 14:25:56 UTC
I often look for new projects in the ANN section (although there are few good projects now), the order of ANN's posts is different from other sections. There is a special mechanism called bump. I guess the strange order mentioned by OP in the topic may have something to do with this
In addition, posts are usually sorted in chronological order. I hope to find new projects with potential, not the more well-known projects that have been released before (because their profits are not as high as new projects)

Personally, although I am a novice, I prefer to read articles by legend/hero members. Their posts are generally of high quality, so I won’t waste too much time sifting through them.
But I have to say that there are many topics with new members that are also meaningful, but only a few.

These are the so-called pure social marketing coins. It has absolutely no role of its own and will not bring any innovation to the encryption world. Of course, when a certain richest man is marketing them, we have to pay attention to their growth. So there is no king, the masters behind them are the real winners.

Re: Is it risky to invest in new crytpo coin/tokens???
by
Maxine4466
on 26/07/2021, 14:13:00 UTC
I think there are risks in any investment. Of course, it's just that their risk levels are different. The investment in cryptocurrency is obviously the riskiest one. Of course, high returns correspond to high risks. If you can participate in the initial stage of the token issuance, then the profit will be very substantial after the token is developed...
