Re: PhoenixMiner 5.7b: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)
by

on 19/10/2021, 14:54:11 UTC
The  new  version  is  finally  ready.  You  can  download  PhoenixMiner  5.8b  from  here:

PhoenixMiner_5.8b_Windows.zip Github
PhoenixMiner_5.8b_Linux.tar.gz Github

Changes in version 5.8b :
  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Added lock core clock
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RTX 3060/3080/3090 cards
  • Implemented new "turbo" kernels (-clkernel 3) for AMD Polaris cards that can work with the current DAG sizes over 4 GB. Note that -clkernel 3 uses double the VRAM and will
provide slightly faster hashrate with slightly higher power consumption. You can use the -rvram command-line parameter to specify how much VRAM to be left unused
  • Increased the maximum supported DAG epoch to 600 (i.e. until about Sep 2023)
  • Implemented full hardware control for AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux. Note that with these cards under Linux you need to specify relative core voltage: e.g. -
cclock -50 will set the core voltage to be 50 mV under the default value
  • Added ROCr kernels for Vega, Radeon VII and Navi cards. With these kernels you will be able to run these cards with Linux drivers 20.45 and later but the performance will
be lower than with the older PAL drivers and kernels. We recommend using AMD Linux driver 20.30 for all cards except RX6900/6800/6700
  • Fixed an issue causing crashing with some RX6900/6800/6700 cards under Linux (there is no need to run these cards with -clkernel 0 anymore)
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers up to 21.8.1. Note that Radeon VII cards will not work with drivers 21.6.1 or higher - you need to use older drivers for proper
    operation of these cards
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers up to 21.20 (use older drivers for Vega or Radeon VII cards as they will not work with 21.20). Note that the latest 21.30 drivers are
not supported (and the initial testing shows that even the older Polars cards are not working properly with them, so avoid 21.30 for now)
  • Numerous other fixes and small improvements

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.8b

Re: Why is bitcoin reduced price an opportunity to buy?
by
Mcdacillo
on 26/02/2019, 16:54:59 UTC
If you consider Bitcoin as a real currency, you can replace it and apply it and the world is recognizing it. You always appreciate the value of Bitcoin over time. See the Bitcoin discount as a good opportunity to buy.

Here, investors believe in the long-term value of Bitcoin. So when prices drop, they buy more. Although the market is very hard to guess, it means buy at the price lower (bid at the bottom) and as soon as the price is up. Strong discounts allow investors to spend more money to buy Bitcoin than a less volatile market, without much change.

If your current thinking is that Bitcoin will grow strongly in the months and years to come, let's all think together and there are certainly quite a lot of people out there for Bitcoin.

In my opinion and based on what I have seen most here in the forum about their reason why the lower price of bitcoin is opportunity to buy is because many hodlers or many investors believe that once the bitcoin starts and begin its price at its lowest they believe that it will soar high and fast to its biggest price that all people will tend to sell their invested bitcoin at the higher price. Like the phrase say's "buy low, sell high".

Re: Are you willing to pay or donate with your bitcoin on the current market?

I saw there are some Paypal-like crypto payment services around (e.g. something like https://www.wispay.io). Do you think it's a good idea, given the current market?

I'd imagine if you are a receiver, such tools can be useful.
But as a sender, would you pay with your cryptos?

For myself, I'd like to get rid of some of my shitcoins while they still have some value, but I'd still like to hold my BTC

In my case, I wil definitely use bitcoin or my other cryptos to pay debt, or anything that I can use bitcoin because bitcoin is the only thing where my money goes and I think the best way to back the pays is by using bitcoin also or else convert to usd then start buying or sending money to the other.

I wonder what would have happened to bitcoin if satoshi nakamoto was an American and come to think of it will all what we've been denied of in cryptocurrency world come to past already? I'm talking about ETF ,bakkt ,regulations ? If America was bitcoin birth home what would have happened by now? Just a thought

In my opinion, I think nothing will be changed, because the nationality of the proponent or the founder of bitcoin will not affect the value or the movement of other cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is decentralized, even if it is born on america or other country, I think nothing will be changed.

Re: If Bitcoin means Decentralisation why did it brought then a centralised
by
Mcdacillo
on 24/02/2019, 12:19:52 UTC
and centrally by few humans controlled cryptocurrency index, that discriminates between cryptocurrencies?

isnt that contradicting itself. is bitcoin just a fake decentralisation to earn lambos like the bitcoin hodlers are saying?

in my oppinion yes.

In my opinion, bitcoin is decentralized and it becomes centralized when you cashing out your money. I say this because we know that bitcoin didn't have a physical appearance and I think the partnership or the conversion of bitcoin to other form of fiat money has nothing to do with the centralization of bitcoin because bitcoin itself has a nature of being decentralized.

Re: Bitcoin to replace fiat
by
Mcdacillo
on 23/02/2019, 03:40:17 UTC
In this history of mankind any kind of innovation to solve something has always benefited it does however takes its own time to fix things .. look at those trillion dollars of debt in u.s if they don't pay the entire country goes into bankruptcy and this not only affects one country but several others will be down along with it .. we need robust technology to solve such things if humans keep using paper money it will not only cause problems to the country but to its own people. adoption of block chain is very important in near future. lets see how much we care .. if Government really needs to solve their debt issues blockchain is the only way out to convert their useless fiat to valuable blockchain technology it will not only help to crush fiat and pay of trillions it will help to rescue the majority of countries in Asia and worldwide.

In my opinion, there is an advantage and disadvantage of bitcoin in replacing the fiat money. Advantages is that it will be supported by many investors and many of us will be grateful when bitcoin replace fiat but the disadvantages are it can be used by the government and the worst is it may become centralized.

Re: How to make Bitcoin more approachable to common users
by
Mcdacillo
on 21/02/2019, 05:05:58 UTC
Even after Ten years still Bitcoin is used by Geeks and majority of common citizens doesn't seems to use Bitcoin as a currency or even for trading purposes and I think this situation has occurred because still it is not approachable and that is because even it has all the features for a proper usability majority of people doesn't see Bitcoin as an usable currency for anyone who has basic technical knowledge which is not true but in order to change this situation and make Bitcoin more approachable to common people how its path should change in the future both technically and socially to convince it is a currency for everyone

I think in order for the people to make them use bitcoin or make them more interested on bitcoin, is that bitcoin needs to have a good advertisement that explains how bitcoin will change one person's life. Of course the big factor that it needs is the value on the market that will encourage the other to start investing or maybe to invest more. Also bitcoin needs to remove those people who are using bitcoin to scam others.

Re: Revolution or a new start?
by
Mcdacillo
on 20/02/2019, 13:27:37 UTC
Finally US company pay his business tax via BTC so, we can say it's a good start of BTC in future..

I think this company started new revolution so that other company too think of paying tax or payment via BTC. If companies started pay via BTC then other country definatly accept BTC too.

What you guys think of Overstock participate or i can say start revolution in BTC world.

In my opinion, I could say bitcoin in that case will have a new start. Since the US country is a big country, and let's say that the US has a big influence to the other country. So, as the US starts to believe and uses bitcoin for payments, maybe other country will now soon use and start to know the world inside the digital currency.

Re: A chance for Bitcoin to rise!
by
Mcdacillo
on 20/02/2019, 04:33:35 UTC
For the past months I’m too depressed about my losses since I came in this market unprepared. I try not to be active but the market looks inviting me again to be more responsible for what I’ve done and to do better this time.

Bitcoin started to pump slowly, though its not enough to get back my losses but I think there’s a reason why I should stay. I know I’m not the only one here who lose money but still trying to do their best to have some profit. Thank you to this forum, i was able to rise again and this time I will believe more on the future of bitcoin! Continue to hold!

Edit: I lose almost $2000 before both in trading and in gambling, I know its quiet small for you but that’s a lot of money for me. Thanks to those who help me to survive on this one.

In my opinion, bitcoin is now trying to regain it's original price from 100 thousand and higher. For me, once you invested on bitcoin, the loss of your investments are still there and never fade but of course, remember that once bitcoin starts to lose value, bitcoin will have a comeback to its price and can make your investments grow and if possible it can be doubled.

Re: Bitcoin legal and illegal countries
by
Mcdacillo
on 19/02/2019, 14:52:12 UTC
Bitcoin is becoming popular day by day. Reduce people's interest in easy transactions and price Rise. Some countries questioned the legitimacy and questioned. However, many countries of the world have given legitimacy to Bitcoin. We need to know about this issue for those new people. Those who did not know what to expect and would benefit them. Bitcoin has been given the list of validity and cancellation.

Bitcoin countries to get legitimacy:

Solvenia, Switzerland, Ukraine, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Lithuaia, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Bosia & Herzegivina, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Australia, New zealand, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Canada, United States, Mexico, Nicaragua, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cyprus, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Vietnam, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, India, Pakistan, China, HongKong, Japan, South Korea, Tuiwan .

Bitcoin Cancellation Countries:

Algeria
Bolivia
Ecuador
Kyrgyzstan
Bangladesh
Nepal
Cambodia...

In my opinion, the doubt in the legitimacy of bitcoin is a common issue on digital currency since bitcoin and other coins do not have an appereance like the fiat. On my research, there are big countries that consider the bitcoin such a United States, Canada , Australia ans etc. and of course there is also a country that banned bitcoin because of the said issue or they didn't want investors and/or they didn't consider bitcoin for investments such as China, Vietnam, Russia and etc.

Re: you are being manipulated by the government
by
Mcdacillo
on 17/02/2019, 13:00:37 UTC
government are here for the US dollar. the federal reserve will save the economy when it's going downhill. while bitcoin, the government will try to destroy it. anything standing in the government's way. the government will spread false news. and propaganda. if bitcoin is backed by the US they see it crashing they will surely help bitcoin but that is not being done. bitcoin goes lower ur being manipulated. they are washing out investors. what u need is lots of bitcoin even when prices crash. the stronger ur bitcoins the stronger ur future. manipulated prices not from retail investors but higher power people. bitcoin is going to solve poverty in the future

Bitcoin is a decentralized currency and I think government cannot manipulated those currency who are decentralized specially bitcoin because as you can see, the price of bitcoin right now is definitely low and the government can't do anything to make it higher. And I think bitcoin will not be crashed since it has many investors and traders.

Re: Are we not abusing decentralization?
by
Mcdacillo
on 17/02/2019, 04:11:43 UTC
Decentralization is one of the greatest dreams of Satoshi looking at the how the blockchain technology and its immutable distributed ledger has been designed. Well it saddens my heart that the greed of men has led to the abusing of this freedom and liberty that Satoshi wanted us to have in the financial industry. Look at the way people are being scammed and robbed in broad day light just because crypto is embedded in anonymity and decentralization. I think we've all had it to the peak, how about we have some level of regulation with the activities in the crypto industry. Share your thoughts commrades.

In my opinion, I think we are not abusing the decentralization of bitcoin. Since bitcoin has started it is decentralized and I think once bitcoin is centralized we will not be able to experience the bull run or the unexpected change of bitcoin to its highest peak or its lowest. If bitcoin is decentralized, we could expect the best and the price that we want. But I think those who are scammers so called. Uses the technology to take advantage or to abuse the decentralization of bitcoin.

Re: What Frustrates You Most When Using Bitcoin?
by
Mcdacillo
on 01/08/2018, 23:11:38 UTC
What is the most Frustrating/Annoying thing that you come up against each time you use/but/sell bitcoins?

Do you think it will it ever be fixed?

For me, the most annoying that come up is that when I sell my coins because when I'm selling my coins the transaction is so slow. So, I get nervous because I did not know if the transaction will be done succesfully or my money will be gone just in an instant. Another is that when I'm withdrawing my money, I did not get my passcode. And of course, I became so nervous because it quite too long for the transaction to be successfully done to give my passcode.

Re: What's your attitude to this?
by
Mcdacillo
on 01/08/2018, 22:19:40 UTC
Good afternoon. I would like to hear your opinion. I've been reading the forum sufficiently long, but I rarely write. I had one question. Why is the forum divided into 2 teams that angry with one another? The first support bitcoin and hate all altcoins. All of this for them is only garbage. Others like altcoins and do not understand what the problem have first.
I have a question for the first camp. Why?
Take for example Zilliqa, Tomocoin, NEO, DragonChain, etc. People who bought them in large quantities became richer. Why do you think this is garbage?
Bitcoin is a legend, but some altcoins are worth paying attention to, aren't they?

Okay, in my own opinion the reason why this forum is divided into two teams is that because they are free or rather I can say we are free because we have different perspective and opinion in our life. Also, everything in this world has a pole. There are negative and also there positive. It is needed to be able to make the world balance. And yes, there are more coins that take the attention of many people here in forum in other coin rather than the bitcoin.

Re: How do we change the public's view of Crypto world?
by
Mcdacillo
on 01/08/2018, 22:13:37 UTC
Guys we are very much aware how the crypto community through this great forum has helped most of us in terms of our finances but is so heartbreaking that the most of the public views only describes how insecure and unsafe the crypto community is. I do understand that cryptocurrencies are volatile and the issue of anonymity sometimes scares people away but y'all bear with me that if  crypto is explained to you and you really understand it properly you would not make wrong mistakes and get swayed away by panic sales or submit your private key as ethereum wallet address. Is it a public campaign or some other form of tutorial that we should organize to help explain crypto to the world because believe it or not the blockchain technology of cryptocurrencies is being admired by most organizations and some of them have decided to run their operations with the use of blockchain technology. What can we do as a community to help change the public view of Crypto?

In my own opinion, I think its better to do a manual sharing. Wherein, every one of us will share their experiences about bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. Before, I do not believe in bitcoin but when I start seeing the real money that is being converted from bitcoin to fiat, that is the time that I start using bitcoin. I think people who do not believe in bitcoin needs a proof, for them to be able to understand and know that bitcoin is very helpful.
