KanoPool mined 2 blocks in the past 4 months, how is this pool going to mine 18 or 19 blocks until the halving?
True. But only time will tell. With the change in ramp up time from nearly three months, down to 3 days.... paired with low fees..... it could attract more hashpower to get high enough for the block finders reward to utilise them all.

Well well. This is good news..... as someone who has tried to jump on at Kano, Ive always been put off from the 154-176 day ramp up times whenever I looked at it. Specially this close to the halving, I basically wrote the pool off entirely.
But now, its back in the picture as a realistic option for me! I think its a great move!

Well well. This is good news..... as someone who has tried to jump on at Kano, Ive always been put off from the 154-176 day ramp up times whenever I looked at it. Specially this close to the halving, I basically wrote the pool off entirely.

What terms of mining does ViaBTC have? I don't see this pool here https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Comparison_of_mining_pools, though there market share ~6%.

i like mining on ViaBTC or slush for PPLNS, or Novablock for PPS+, although i mainly use the PPS+ pools as my roll over backups.
Slush pays transaction fees, and so does ViaBTC, but VIABTC also merge mines a few shitcoins at the same time......
anyway, do your research, keep asking questions etc.....
EDIT: i should add, i havent mined on Slushpool recently as they have had terrible luck, and like you said, with the halving coming, we need to accumulate as much as possible.,

But SNAP!! 5 month ramp up time? If correct, doesn't sound like i would get much Full Hash time, in time before the halving...... guess it has its pros, and cons.

these times are perfect to jump on Kano and bring the hash up on that pool..... until the luck turns and you miss out hahaha
Hahaha omg...smooth think I might need to do some research and switch pools this luck is terrible in a midst of another block approaching 7 hrs again 4th night in a row or or 4/5 nights last 250 luck gonna be under 90 pretty soon one more of those lol and 10% over 250 blocks is huge (to me)i would nearly expect it to correct, and come storming back, to even out. wouldnt wanna miss out on that. we can either play it safe and sit, or try and time it.

a bit? lol very bad luck, back to back to back 11-13 hr mining cycles, hashpower went from 6.3 to 5 20-25%
well, i was being semi polite..... but you are correct, pretty savage with those 11-16hr! mining cycles
I dont mind the over all hash drop, helps with my rewards, but it didnt make a difference to get blocks, even when it was up overall!
I am still waiting for Slush to pay out the 18 months or so of merged mining that they are holding. They need to just change it and say that they do not do merged mining since they stopped paying it out in Jan/Feb of 2018
