Re: Are Smart Contracts Legally Enforceable?

Depends on the contract parties. However i do see smart contracts automating part of contracts and possibly holding money for example if something happens then the money will be automatically transferred. Its going to be a while before implementation

What do you mean moneyless?
Are you communists? Even at hard-core communist countries money exist.  Roll Eyes
Where there is even one free market (for anything), there must be a medium of exchange.

Please keep in mind that every deeper move into electronic payment systems,
is "cutting" our privacy. If paper money or "real" coins dissappear,
big brother start to know your all transactions and all about you.

But this "smartphone" generation "share" everything about them and upload everything to the net.
Data grabbers are having never-ending "orgasm" seeing this.
Amen! Smiley

I think they mean no hard cash, just digital....

Re: Smart Contract in Bitcoin

I think IF btc were to get to smartcontracts, it would be too late. ETH has the market on this and is improving. Having btc do smart contracts itself wouldnt make sense. Although i do see it being involved with payment settlement in smart contracts.

Re: is it risky to turn all my money to bitcoins?

I would say its pretty risky. I would also say put SOME not ALL of it in btc/eth/alt coins and the rest in stocks, bonds, etc. Its good to have a bunch of various different ways of storing value. Everyone has their own risk tolerance and preference as well so keep that in to consideration. If youre younger you generally have a high risk tolerance since you are able to make it up later. If you are old you tend to be more conservative.

Quiet Office Miner
by

on 11/10/2017, 03:45:56 UTC
Hi all,

Id like to either build or buy a quiet office miner. I know that it wont be the most powerful thing but id like to try to have my hand at mining some cheap altcoins for fun. I have my own office but would like to keep it quiet so I don't bother my employees and customers since I work as a dentist. What are your thoughts? or should i just bite the bullet and mine at home with the ant miner s9?

Re: Bitcoin has gone beyond gold prices

Bitcoin has now exceeded the gold price, is the choice of bitcoin or gold?

Yes, we can argue about the importance of bitcoin over gold due to its cheaper pricing and bigger savings and all. But we always have to consider that gold is better long term as its value does not depreciate and if the internet shuts down it can be still used.

Isnt there a lot more paper gold than actual gold tho?
