There hasn't been any news updates since Jared's talk on the 30th. People got so excited about that announcement, then there was a lull for 3 days now. The hype has died off because Jared didn't follow up with lots of tweets or updates.
I was personally mining on 12x HD 7970 and have abandoned DGB for now. There isn't any interest since all the attention is now diverted to QORA and back to Ethereum.
Maybe get some news and updates and people will show interest again Jared.
Also you look at the profitability of mining DGB vs Ethereum for example on a single R9 280X. Reference whattomine.com
1 day mining:
Ethereum - $4
DGB - $2
This is if you convert either ETH or DGB to BTC. The argument is that DGB will be worth much more in the future, so if you decide to mine it, you're investing. People always say that. I don't get why?
If you can get more dollar value for ethereum, why not sell ethereum for BTC and just purchase DGB. In the exact same amount of time mining, you can sell your ETH and purchase DGB, getting WAY WAY WAY more than you would ever mining.
So it makes absolutely no sense to even mine DGB right now.
Also with all the hype surround MYR, who's the REAL FIRST MULTI-ALGORITHM block chain... What happened? Did DGB just "claim" it first?
Hi, my wallet wont sync...when i started the system yesterday it displayed "8 week(s) behind", now it displays "9 week(s) behind". Over night it stayed on 9 weeks, is the blockchain just masive or do i need to reset something? Yesterday i've updated from version 3 to version 4 and i have backed up my wallet in a safe spot
Great devlopments by the way, since the creation of digibyte only good things happend! Really glad i'm a (silent) part of this!!!
Thanks
You might try a reindex to see if that works for you. If your on windows try the following
Navigate to the folder where digibyte-qt is and making sure nothing is selected hold shift and then right click. From the right click menu select "Open command prompt here". With the command prompt open type in
Code:
digibyte-qt --reindex
It will take a little while for you to grab all the blocks but it should get you up and running.
cheers
This worked perfectly for me, thanks a lot!
Update your wallet and try to reindex. This worked perfect for me

We have drawn a winner. There are 2 reasons that we have not yet made the announcement. First, we wanted to make sure that our wallets were updated and everything was set with the recent fork to DigiSpeed. Second, I've had a busy week so I didn't get the contest winner info sent out. And, for the past 48 hours I've been working to re-create all my outgoing mail server info. As soon as we notify the winner in person, we'll make the announcement here.
Thanks to all the members of the community who entered the contest. Our first contest (back in August) only had a handful of entries. With each new contest, we get more and more people entering, and more and more people joining the community. It's great to see.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Eric
Novembers lucky winner is Meeren, one of the many members of this community that mainly just read this thread. There is nothing wrong with that but do feel free to jump in whenever it suits you, we don't bite we DigiByte! 250,000 DGB on its way to you Meeren shortly, thanks for participating and well done!
Thanks i'm verry happy with this prize Yes i'm a reader and i like it, the last 2 year i've checked and read this form at least 3 times a day! I do "my writing" face to face and try to convince people of the advantages of cryptopayments, with a main focus on DGB. Thanks to this prize money and the dgb market I can convince people even more. I will do small donations to people i talk with!
Great video! Maybe a stupid idea, but my audio on my computer did not work. I was thinking what if i was deaf? So maybe add some subtitles in english, dutch and chinese? (i think you can add this as a youtube video option)

24hralttrade, just a idea: Maybe we can do some kind of dgb (investor) day in Holland in the near future? And talk about the possibilities for dgb in Holland? (i mean how mutch dutch dgb holders are here?)
That would be a awesome idea! Will get back at it!
I think about 7 on this forum, And i have 8 friends invested in DGB,, they bought under 15 sat when i tipped them. They are smilling from ear to ear atm

Guys we almost at 600k marketcap, keep it up as I asked for 1 million marketcap in 24 hours hehe.
Also I hope you big guys dont dump at 500 or 1000, obviously yes sell and make money but please do it in small amounts on different exchanges so there is no panic and everyone thinks something is wrong.
I would be holding most long term anyway and hope that Jared sets up something with overstock.com or someone similar
digibyte to the moon guys
Jared, hope you have some new projects to release soon to keep the ball rolling. Even if its a small project or even a nice update would bring in more buyers.
Well done Jared and team.
Good point (if you could see the age of my digibyte, you would be impressed, so i wont sell them in a blink of an eye)! The max sell sat orders on crypty moved from around 200 sat this morning to 490 sat now!
DGB is worth much more than 200sat, if you have your lesson from previous coins, nobody should dump no coins until 500 sat, otherwise they will lose and try buying back at higher price
Juicy prices, but I am on hold to 500 sat Anybody with me? Even if you sold, we are still heading to 500, so why sell ? I dont like giving targets but it seems it is
1000 is my target and still i think that is far to low!
