Re: Bitcoin is crashing due to the falling price?

It won't happen. The early crashes (2014 and earlier) were orchestrated by a single actor or a bad exchange. Nowadays there's a lot of shitcoins, which if you look past the fact that they are an obvious cash grab, do in fact legitimize Bitcoin. In other words, new ICO's build off the legitimacy of BTC, and at the same time legitimize BTC with their shitiness.

What's stopping the price to go to $1000?

Ethereum Core Devs Meeting Constantinople Session #1 just ended.

People in their chat are saying they are dumping due to imminent pos which these meetings are about.

This does not make sense to me. Why would you dump it because of pos where you need more to stake more?

Blockchain is a digitized, decentralized, and the public ledger of all cryptocurrency transactions. It is constantly growing as "completed" blocks; usually the most recent transactions are put down and added to it in a chronological order. It gives authorizations to market participants to monitor digital currency transactions without central record keeping.  Every computer connected to the network gets a copy of the blockchain, and by default it downloads the copy automatically.

Blockchain is not bitcoin. Blockchain is just the main technological innovation of bitcoin, same as with other cryptocurrencies.

A very good read with lots of useful information including trading lingo. Highly recommended.
I think it's not a slang, more like normal cryptocurrency and financial terminology and concepts.

The best strategy in crypto is to buy coins when they -80% from their ATHs and forget about them for 5 years  Grin Cheesy

This is probably the best approach!
One can wonder to buy ETH or BTC now or not...be in the mindset of oh I'm going to lose 50% or not...but if the horizon is 5 years this does not matter!!! I don't think there's a person on the planet involed in cryptocurrencies that do not think BTC and ETH will be x20 to USD in 5 years from now.

Just installed blockfolio and it looks good. What would be better than this app?
Delta  Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue

Delta looks cool. Will give a try. It also now allows you to have up to 10 portfolios for free.

Maybe your choice is correct, but not all cryptocurrencies are worth your long-term preservation, which will only make you suffer more losses!

That's true but how will you know which one are worth keeping and which one to sell fast?
Is it better to hold them all even if some or even most will loose value but maybe just one be very successful and brings huge profits?

Main advantage is that you can send a transaction any time you want and no one can stop you from doing this.

Re: Where should I keep my bitcoins?

- Hardware wallets : An excellent way to store coins, private keys are always stored inside the device, for me best option.

- Paper wallets : Good choice for long term storage, need to be created in safe environment/paper need to be stored in safe place (fire, water, etc..)

This is where I am coming from. I've heard several people say that paper wallets are the safest or most secure option.  I suppose they are the least hackable since they are not electronic - but don't they run a higher risk of accidental destruction (whether by fire or water damage)?  I use a Trezor and have my recovery seed stored in a padlocked steel wallet, covered in vacuum sealed plastic.

The answer might be to use steel not paper Smiley

SteelWallet is a private key cold storage wallet to securely backup the mnemonic seed phrase of your bitcoin hardware wallets (compatible with Ledger Nano S, Trezor, KeepKey...)

I think beginner mistakes like me too is:
- We think can get easy money from cryptocurrency, whereas it takes time and patient to study in crypto world.
- We tend to underestimate cryptocurrency and tend to hurry decide for invest, rather than study first. And then many of beginner lost their capital.
- When it goes uptrend, we feel greedy and want to get more profit than withdraw it first to lock our profit.
And my mistakes are mostly in point number 3, that is feeling greedy when trade in cryptocurreny. It makes me miss the profit that should i get  Sad

How to fix point 3?? When to sell?

There are many airdrops that not really true. They just gather members on Telegram to use for a campaign. Some just try to steal your information.
Just be careful on airdrops that you just found on telegrams.

True, always good to be careful and mindful of what information you are giving away.

Re: Where should I keep my bitcoins?

I personally keep my bitcoins at the exchange site so that it becomes easily tradable for me.

I heard you should only keep a percentage of your bitcoin on an exchange and keep the rest in a safe place such as a hardware wallet.
