ADA - [GNERD] Stake Pool. 5% of profits to The Scratch Foundation
by
Megabit monster
on 20/10/2021, 05:49:14 UTC
New Stake Pool up and running and looking for some delegators in case you want to support smaller pools for more DeFi. All hardware is run across three (3) Cisco UCS-C Chassis, Business Edition 7000H. 4 Relays and 1 Block Producer. VMware DRS, HA, and vMotion all active for maximum uptimes.

About owner and why The Scratch Foundation:
Mid 40's and have been an engineer since the late 90's. Single father with custody of my 8 year old daughter. She has always been super interested in science and math and luckily we have access to the latest tech that she can learn on. She mentioned her friend in school wasn't so fortunate. I made the choice then and there to try and support The Scratch Foundation as much as we can afford to help bring coding and technology to our kids.

About the pool - [GNERD] - a9ec394d519fdc192707868c28f8285af37fe83c0c9ad4541ac9820f
Each of the relay nodes(4) has 8 vCPU, 16GB RAM, and 125GB SSD footprint.
The block producing node has 12 vCPU, 24GB RAM and 250GB SSD footprint.
5% Margin (15% as of this writing but you can check the confirmed reduction to 5%, just waiting on the epochs)
You can see from my post history I've run by BTC miners back in the day on rentarig (remember that). Solid network with the five 9s (99.999%) The pool is here to stay

I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for contributing to the DeFi ecosystem. Together we can take the power back!

That's a nice setup. What kinda rad/pump did you use? How are the temps?

I'm no watercooling expert, but is it a good idea to run 4 waterblocks in series?

Probably not the greatest idea but it seems to be working.  I'm still experimenting with the build out and this isn't complete yet.  As of now I am using a EXOS from Koolance.  I hear a lot of drama from the OC forums about Koolance but so far its good and what is nice, is that its an all in one unit.

The cards are hashing at 860 each and temps are 70.  I am also an aquarist so I'm thinking about talking to my supplier for my fish stuff about getting a small chiller with built in pump and adding it to the loop.

Re: Antminer U3: Decentralization continued. Order now, Ship on Nov. 5th

What would everyone suggest as a good backup power supply to replace the crap one that the Antminer U3 came with? Amazon links if they carry it preferred...

6A one from my rockminer guide.

I really think we are all going to have to switch to ATX computer PSU's with breakout boards for these U3's.
Dogie I bought one of the ones you suggested after my first stock PSU melted. The replacement one you suggested lasted 4 days (at least it didn't melt or catch fire, it just died completely).
I had previously had 3 of those also die while using them for my R-boxes (the 5A version) but I just replaced them as they lasted 2 months before dying on me and I got them cheap ($6 each).

They're the same ones I'm using, and none of mine are even warm... Send it back and get another one.

Hey Dogie,

Just an FYI I  have two (2) Antminer U3's and I bought some replacement bricks with your referral (12v6a ones).  After running for about 20 minutes on stock settings they died and my office reeks like burning electronics. Not in any way, shape, or form saying this is your fault in any way just wanted to give you a heads up.

I have seen a couple people set 162.5MHz and .67V claiming to get 1,500gh at ~1,000watts.

I got my S4 in the mail yesterday. I will be attempting these setting tonight. I will let you know how it goes if youre interested.

How did your under clock go?

Hey Dogie,

I ordered a few S3+ B11.  One unit hashes fine 24/7 no issues.  I have another unit that will hash for about an hour then drop to 30gh/s and requires a restart to start hashing at full speed again.

Any ideas?

Just got a new S3 and have no idea how to get it mining.  I put in my pool information, connected miner to my router and it doesn't mine.  Any ideas what to do next?

Make sure you set your DNS servers.  Sounds like you aren't getting name resolution.

Best Undervolt/Underclock for S4
by

Hey Forums,

Does anyone know a good undervolt/underclock settings combo for the Antminer S4?  While I am working out some hosting these things are heating up my already full rack @ the office and my HVAC is having a little issue keeping up.  I'm certainly ok with the hash loss to bring the heat down a bit.

My hashlets over at GAW miners are making .00000001 BTC a day.  Thats 150MH/s for one satoshi.  Cloud mining is busted imo, unless its just GAW.

I think you may do better to write the verification paper in the pics by hand, not saying you did but it just seems to be put on there with paint or PS, but you could have also printed that of course.

Here ya go.  I can do them one by one if you need me to, but I figured this would settle your doubts of me actually owning the cards.

Sure thing coming right up.  I did print it out but I'll do a different one, hand written for each pic. Stand by.

Where are you shipping from and is shipping included in the prices? I may be interested in a 290 Tri-X.

Shipping from Los Angeles, CA, USA (91321) Buyer pays shipping and just sends me the label.  Sorry about that I should have included it in my post.
