Re: why would someone think of suicide?
by
Mene_rence
on 20/03/2025, 12:24:25 UTC
now there are many suicides, especially because the economy that is still unstable makes them even more stressed.

but actually, apart from stress, what makes someone think about ending their own life? What do you think
Lack of self-worth can make someone commit suicide. When you see yourself to be useless and good for nothing other than death, suicide seems to be the better option. Condemnation and guilt is the root cause of this. Guilt of past mistakes can hunt one and it takes the mercy of God for someone to escape it.
When the root cause of suicide is identified and dealt with, other things will fall in place.

Re: What makes a great leader?
by
Mene_rence
on 20/03/2025, 12:17:09 UTC
Leadership have never been any simple.
Day in day out a leader is expected to give
their best even when the supposed support
by the followers are discouraging.
However, three words can describe a great leader.

What makes a great leader?

courage = the leader face the matter at hand,
speaking their minds about their duties and that
of the others.

+integrity = doing the required even in
absence of the people

+communication = the ability to communicate
(speaking and listening) what is being done
and what needs to be done.

Leadership is about influence. Nothing less, nothing more. Like you said, it's not a simple work and that's why not everyone can be an effective leader.
Many found themselves in positions of leadership but are far from being leaders. Positions do not make leaders; leaders make positions. Interesting you can lead without being in position.
Leadership is about making impacts and influencing the lives of people within your circles positively. However, impacts cannot be made if some qualities are not intact. One among all is unquestionable character. People must be able to trust you and see that you are full of integrity. You life and character must speak volumes of positivity even when you are not physically present in a place.

Leadership is not for the weak. Leadership is impact.

Re: Know how to solve people's problems and become wealthy
by
Mene_rence
on 20/03/2025, 12:08:13 UTC

Successful business owner are the wealthiest people in the world i really would say they are the custodians of wealth if you want to be a wealthy professional you most have to pass through becoming or placing value on your self.
One of my favourite author said "Wealth is hidden in the problems of life and anyone who wants to be wealthy should begin to take advantage of that problem and bring out a solution and people will pay to get their problems solved".
The more problem you solve, the more money comes into your account. You are as valuable and wealthy as the problem you solve.
The sad reality about life is that people are faced with problems every day; the problem of effective communication, food, shelter, clothing and many others. If you position yourself as the answer in any of this areas, your wealth will come suddenly beyond your wildest dreams.
However, beyond creating solutions to problems, you have to make sure that you are seen. Visibility matters alot. No one lights a candle and hide it under a bushel, you must bring it on the lampstand. In all you do, please make sure you are visible.

Re: A Christian listening to worldly music
by
Mene_rence
on 20/03/2025, 11:37:53 UTC
Please is it wrong for a Christian to listen to worldly music? What difference will it makes in his or her life? My neighbor always look at me as if am a black Jesus or a fair devil coming back from church and on CD to listen to Ja,Rule, Chris Brown, Wizkid or Davido. The crowd that always came to this guys shows, aren't the same crowd in church on Sunday. Please someone put me through, maybe am doing the wrong thing.
It's a matter of priority and what you give attention to. Whoever has your ears will control your thoughts, and whoever controls your thoughts will control your life. Music is a powerful tool that affects our souls and the kind of music we listen to will determine how our minds will function. Even your bible says you should guide your heart with all diligence, for out of it come the issues of life. That means, what comes out of you is a result of what comes into you.
You will agree with me that the music that these secular stars sing is not good for a healthy soul. To be sincerely speaking, music in this century is not edifying at all. It adds nothing valuable to the life of those that listens to it.

Conclusively, listening to secular music is not a sin but it's not healthy for a christian.

Re: MONEY!!!
by
Mene_rence
on 20/03/2025, 11:28:26 UTC
The value of money can not be overe emphasized, as it is an essential for living a satisfying life,

But is it all that important??

Being rich makes most things easily accessible to you, being poor means the opposite, unfair as it may seem, this is the reality of life, this doesn't mean being somewhere in between is a crime.
The pursuit of wealth can be very demanding on a person as getting money is a hard as it can get, but is it enough to just pursue wealth? Is having just enough not a good thing?
Your opinions mean a lot
Money is not everything, but nothing can replace anything money can solve. Money is not an end; it is a means to an end. We are not supposed to have just enough but to have more than enough. Pursue real wealth so you can be a source of blessing and answered prayers to people around you. You are not meant to just have enough for you and your family. what about the less priviledged? What about the homeless, those that have no shelter or means of survival? What about children that has been abandoned? You have a duty to be so rich so you can reach out to humaninity. This is the purpose of money and this is what wealth is meant for.

Re: Can democracy really work here in Africa
by
Mene_rence
on 20/03/2025, 11:19:56 UTC
Democracy is a form of government characterized by by majority role in which the power to choose their leaders is solely put in the hands of the masses . Democracy is characterized by some unique qualities like free and fair election with with duration of been in power and respect for rule of law
But unfortunately this is not the case in some African countries as the opposite is the case as in every election year that comes you hear of election violence, rigging of election to favour those in power, oppression and arrest of opposition figure infact the one that makes in thinking is influx of foreign and European observer to African elections
This lead me to ask questions is democracy made for Africa or can we go back to the way we where governing our self before the advent of colonisation
Guys let discuss why is African democracy so fragile and unstable that military is always taking over democratically elected government
Though we love the idea of Democracy, the practice of 100% democracy is not possible in Africa. It is evident that both the so called democratic leaders and it citizens can't operate under democracy where the citizens themselves have more authority in governance and their voice is heard. The Africans are power drunk and can do anything to manipulate their way into power. They make the law but the rule of law do not apply to them, they seem to be above the law. The citizens are as same with their so called leaders cos those leaders where first citizens.
Africans have a depraved mindset about leadership. They think it's about control and forcing your way in everything. They think for them to have dominion, they have to use force, and they do it by every means available, including trampling on the constitutional rights of the citizen.
If we really want to go back to the practice of democracy, the first thing to do is mind orientation of what leadership and governance really is.
We need to know that governance is about serving the will of the people and not serving your selfish interest. We need to know that the rights of the citizens matters more.

Re: What kind of marriage education do we need?
by
Mene_rence
on 04/03/2025, 17:12:01 UTC
Marriage is often romanticized, but the reality is far more complex. Many couples enter marriage with little understanding of how to navigate conflicts, communicate effectively, or manage shared responsibilities. So, what kind of marriage education do we actually need?

First, we need practical tools—not just fluffy theories. Think conflict resolution skills, financial planning, and emotional intelligence training. Second, real talk about expectations. Too many people go into marriage with unrealistic ideals, only to face disappointment later. Finally, normalize ongoing education. Marriage isn’t a one-time event; it’s a journey that requires constant learning and adaptation.

What’s missing in today’s marriage education? Should it start earlier, like in schools? Or is it something couples should figure out on their own? Let’s discuss!
Marriage is regarded as an institution, hence the need for this kind of education cannot be overemphasized. Anyone who refuses to go through this process is heading for great fall along the way.
Early marriage to me is not an option. I believe (I may be wrong though) that young people don't have the experience or perhaps required mindset shaped by adequate knowledge to venture into marriage.
Take your time, learn what you can learn, be prepared for it before you enter.

Re: What quality do you think a husband must have to keep a healthy marriage
by
Mene_rence
on 04/03/2025, 16:23:31 UTC
Huh? it's always husband who need the quality, while wife doesn't?

Here are the quality of husband to have a healthy marriage:
1. Money
2. Money
3. Money
4. Money
5. Money
...
999. Money

Your wife can't cook and clean, hire a housemaid.
Your wife want to build her body, hire a personal coach and pay the gym membership.
Your wife can't drive to the gym, hire a private driver and buy her car.
Your wife want to travel, buy her ticket and give her money.
Your wife feel lonely because you're busy, hire a handsome man and someone who can listen to her.
Your wife not happy because you're not good in bed? hire a manwhore.

I promise, there's no woman in this world will leave you.

Am I wrong? give at least one thing that can't be solved by money, I would like to test my skill.
This is exactly where most men get it wrong. They feel when they use all the time and energy in this world to gather all the money, the money will in turn replace other things that are essential in the marriage.
Money is very important, but it can only make up 40% of the requirement for a balanced family.
Money can't replace attention and affection!
It cannot replace good love making in bed!
Love cannot replace genuine care and affection!

Give a woman the whole money in this world and lack the basic things like care, attention and affection, you'll end up divorced.

Re: What quality do you think a husband must have to keep a healthy marriage
by
Mene_rence
on 04/03/2025, 15:41:50 UTC
Marital issues now our days is high I guess compared to past age (just guessing). Like the hike in the rate of divorce and so on.

A man with well developed EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE can be able to handle alot and keep things balanced for himself and his family.

What quality do you think a husband must have to keep a healthy marriage (family life and lifestyle).

It takes both the husband and the wife (man and woman) to keep a home. One sided development from the husband will not keep it. It has to be from the both side to have a balanced family. They both have their individual roles to play.

However, when it comes to the qualities a husband must possess to keep his family and marriage, one among the qualities is LOVE.
It is confirmed that marriages break because of unforgiveness—holding on to past hurts. Whereever you find unforgiveness, just know that genuine love is lacking.
The husband must know that love is not only a feeling. Love is commitment. It is choosing to love and forgive even though your spouse does not deserve it. There is no record of wrong where found is active, hence forgiveness is a virtue that the husband must have. Your wife will hurt you either by commision or ommision, it will surely happen and you must learn to forgive in advance.

I believe that if the husband sees love as commitment and not a feeling, He will be able to play his part in bringing balance for himself and family.

Re: What are people who focus on making money like?
by
Mene_rence
on 02/03/2025, 17:15:33 UTC
Focusing on making money means being fully aware of: 1. What do I have? (What can be converted into money); 2. What do I want? (Money); 3. What am I willing to give? (Time, energy, money, emotions, etc.)
This is apt.
Money flows in the direction of value. No value, no money.
There must be something you can offer. Not just anything, but something that is needed and essential in society. It can be a service, a product, or a commodity. This is how money flows to you.
Your money is hidden in people and they can only give you that money when they discover that you have a means of exchange.
Hence, for money to come, you must be a person of value.
I repeat, 'Money flows in the direction of value'.

Re: Most important things for wealth
by
Mene_rence
on 02/03/2025, 17:00:52 UTC

2.The health take care of your health that's your biggest wealth.

You see this one up here? This is the greatest wealth anyone can have. Material wealth can fly away like it was never there if you have a health problem. Ask people who have kidney issues and how much they spend on a weekly basis for dialysis. We don't want to talk about chemotherapy for cancer patients or people who have heart problems.

When you stay months after months, or perhaps years after years, without visiting the hospital and not experiencing any ill medical conditions, just give thanks to your maker, He has saved you millions running in dollars.

Health is wealth, don't take it for granted.

Re: Other reasons for poverty.
by
Mene_rence
on 02/03/2025, 16:49:02 UTC
There is always quick action to blame the economy and the government whenever the issue of poverty is raised because many people will say that they are poor because of their economy and the government, but in some cases it is not completely true because some people are more the reason of the poverty than any other external factor.

Some people have been introduced to opportunities like investing in bitcoins that they failed to pursue hence their poverty. Some people also lack the very much needed ability to be proactive and take action quickly so they remain poor, some have become too comfortable with their situation that they do not think or plan for more, so they are poor. There are those who indiscipline has kept them poor, there are those who are still slaves to poverty mentality, so they are still poor.

Which other reason do you think has kept people poor aside the economy and the government?
When it comes to the issue of poverty, it is important we go down to the root cause of it. Many people think poverty is the lack of money, but I bet to disagree. Lack of money is not what makes one poor. What makes one poor is his/her MINDSET. Mindset is everything in this life. Give someone the highest figure of money but poses poverty mindset, come back to this same guy in few months and you'll discover that he has gone back to his normal way to life. That's why, the first empowerment anyone should receive is not money, or job but empowerment in the mind.
For one's life to change, the mind has to change first. No change of mind, no change of life. We must get this straight. It is as a man thinks that he is.
One with poverty mindset does everything opposite the habit of the wealthy. They don't meditate, no inspiration, no courage, no risk taken - always playing safe and no vision for their lives.

Poor Mindset is the root of poverty and until this mindset is taken care of, life will be lived in cycles heading nowhere.

In a country filled with unemployment and bad governance, crypto stood to create wealth and job opportunities for the youths not minding your status. You don't have to be great to start your crypto journey ,you have to start to be great. The worst thing you will do to  your self is not trying to learn.
The pain you will feel today  putting effort to achieving crypto knowledge that will create wealth is the strength of your tomorrow.

There's no doubt that one of the fast rising sector in today's world is the crypto space. In a short while, we've seen little investment in crypto become to plenty and making people wealthy.
Among other high ranked sectors like real estate, oil and gas and the rest, cryptocurrency is such that it can happen in a very short period of time - over night.
Anyone who wants to position him/herself to succeed  in this economy to be wealth and leave wealth for generations to come, I personally recommend crypto as something to give attention to.

Re: How is social media affecting your life?
by
Mene_rence
on 28/02/2025, 20:15:45 UTC
Social media has shaped the world in a way that seems to be positive and negative because of the informations that are put out there.
While social media was initially meant for entertainment and connecting with friends and people all over the world , it's has gone beyond that.
One great thing about social media is that it has exposed a lot of atrocities happening around the world, things that we might never have known about like real time crimes, disaster and injustice happening around the world.
Social media is also a place to learn about new things, culture and also it helps to address issues which helps in real world changes.

The only negative thing about social media is the constant cyberbulling, the false information and spreading of fake news . One's moods can easily get ruined just by scrolling through socal media feed. Toxic comments and people,'s opinion about things makes me wonder if this world is ever going be a better place

How do we balance it, does social media news affect you in anyway? Let's discuss
I actually can't deny the fact one of the best things that happened in this age is social media. Don't get me wrong, social media has it disadvantages too, but if we are to be truthful, over the years, it has done more good than harm depending on what we choose to pay attention to.
If we can be truthful to ourselves, social media was built for a good purpose - to enhance global communication. Social media is not corrupt or bad in itself, it is the people using it that determines what it is. It is only a tool though it was built for a good reason.

However, I won't fail to point out that people are now addicted to social media. Families and relationships has parted because of it. It is one of the potent tool of distraction in the lives of the youths. Absolute Focus and consistency can no longer be achieved because of social media.Imdeed, this here is a disease that must be curtailed before it escalates.

Re: why would someone think of suicide?
by
Mene_rence
on 28/02/2025, 19:50:36 UTC
now there are many suicides, especially because the economy that is still unstable makes them even more stressed.

but actually, apart from stress, what makes someone think about ending their own life? What do you think
Among other causes you f suicide, depression is the root cause of it and what brings about depression is guilt and self condemnation!
Guilt makes people feel worthless! Condemnation causes one to doubt his existence and when one begins to doubt or question his very existence, depression crips in and takes control of the person.

The solution to this is that people should begin to live beyond themselves. Yo just have to know that you don't exist for yourself and that other lives are attached to you. Whether you are aware or not, you are an inspiration to someone and some else success depends on you.
You can't allow depression take a hold of you and not give it a fight and seek for help.
Your life is not all about you. You didn't give the life to yourself so you have no life to take it by yourself!

Re: Every successful person had a mentor
by
Mene_rence
on 28/02/2025, 18:48:54 UTC
I would like to discuss this here to understand how many people decide to take this step to find a mentor?

I asked myself this question because in almost every book or interview with successful people I come across a mention of them having, or even currently having a mentor who guides them, helps them develop, and perhaps points out mistakes that will not allow them to grow.

And I was interested in how many of you at some point decided that you needed a mentor, how difficult it was to find one and how did he help you? I suppose that few people use this, maybe even out of fear, because for example I don’t even know who it could be and how can I ask my future mentor about this if I manage to find such a person.

And maybe some of you have been a mentor for other people? Share your experience too, if it is not too much trouble for you.
Sincerely speaking, there are few persons at the top there  that got there without a mentor.
A mentor is one who takes responsibility for your growth in a particular field or area of life and whom you are accountable to. Nobody is born with knowledge and knowledge is a product of experience acquired over some period of time. These experiences can be either good or bad. Mentorship is like a shortcut that exempt the one being mentored from making mistakes that would have put him in a tight position. The mentor holds you by the hand and show you pitfalls to avoid and encourage you when you need it.

One without a mentor is a like a trial and error stuff. You don't really know which will work out.

Getting a mentor will spare one from making mistakes that may hinder their progress! I may be wrong but scarcely will you see any successful one at the top without a mentor.

by
Mene_rence
on 28/02/2025, 18:17:48 UTC

Life gives us no choice but to adapt to every change.
I totally don't agree with this line of thought! Man is a being of choice and will. We live by our convictions and not merely what live throws at us. We have the choice to choice between what is good and what is bad and not follow the masses. Even though it is difficult to change all the masses but we can imbibe our positive mindset into the people around us.
Life will throw all kinds of things towards you, but we have the moral choice as a being of free will to either accept or reject what is wrong. Life is truly lived by conviction and not by opinions!

Although it may sound a bit "preachy," I really feel that society has become somewhat pathological. Money seems to have become the only standard by which people are measured, and everyone is desperately chasing wealth, as if without money, you have no value. Meanwhile, the things that should be most cherished—character, sincerity, effort—are being pushed to the sidelines. People are so focused on counting their money that they forget what truly matters: how they live and the kind of person they become.
Don't forget, money is just a bonus that comes after the realization of self-worth.

This exactly has been my line of thought few days back! Greater percentage of the people are fixated on making money and getting rich and can do anything or even become anything to have it. The society no longer care or value vore values that makes society great. Many don't know that money is for a purpose. They think money is to satisfy all cravings and appetites of their flesh, little do they know that money is to improve the quality of life of yourself and the people around you.

People no longer care about what they become while chasing after money. Infact they are deceived that money is the only form of wealth, not knowing that money is the least form of wealth. I think the society needs to be taught that there are other intangible form of wealth more higher than money. We need to teach it to our children and young people that integrity, loyalty, faithfulness, morality and hard work are the true form of wealth that will stand the test of time.

We need to go back to the real wealth.

Re: Knowledge is still power in cryptocurrency
by
Mene_rence
on 27/02/2025, 18:52:07 UTC
At first I will say as someone that's interested in investing in bitcoin you just need the basic knowledge and you are good to go so don't let your urge of accumulating knowledge affects your bitcoin investment or accumulation.

https://talkimg.com/images/2024/10/15/8JIUo.jpeg

Alot of newbies won't understand or get this, especially those that was on boarded by Notcoin into this space, alot of you have been hearing that cryptocurrency is not a get rich quick scheme, is something that requires one to go after knowledge too. Because in this space without a proper knowledge you can't succeed in it .

Don't think that this space is all about Airdrops and tap to earn , is more than that , but you won't be able make good use of the opportunity in it if you lacks knowledge on how it works.  That's why you have  to make good use of your time here to keep learning because they are alot of knowledgeable users here , and beside google is always there to assist you , so leave that comfort and start Doing your own  research it would help to make things move smoother.

Everything within me resonates with this piece of thought! I remember when I entered the crypto space and started my crypto journey, that was the era of notcoin and after that dog followed. I was completely a newbie and how ignorant I was. My ignorance of the space was not an excuse for the lost I experienced! With excitement, I stored my notcoin on 2 different wallets and also bought some altcoins (about three different coins). Unfortunately, my first wallet was hacked containing about $60 worth of notcoin. The other of my wallet was lost also because of my ignorance of securing my pass phrase.

After this incidents, no one advised me to go for knowledge and training. I learned that if you fail to posses the knowledge required in this crypto space, you can loose all the money you've accumulated over period in a day.

When knowledge is in place, security and opportunities abound in this space.

Re: Invest in bitcoin or save your money in the bank.
by
Mene_rence
on 27/02/2025, 18:28:03 UTC
Investing in Bitcoin and also saving money in our banks are two important things, you can't invest in Bitcoin and don't still have some save in your bank that's very wrong, remember you are investing with your leftover fund in bitcoin which is your discretionary income money you won't be needing for a very long time while the one in your bank account is the one you will needing anytime to sort out your personal needs by getting it back either going to bank or by going any point of sales POS joint to withdraw your money while you still accumulate Bitcoin and hodl so it is much important to invest into Bitcoin and also have some huge saves in your bank very very necessary.

You are not totally wrong in what you say. Both saving money in the Bank and investing in Bitcoin are one of the best financial decision one can take. However, what we are looking at here is which is more profitable?

Saving in the bank is good but it's only savings! There's no room for multiplication or gradual increment. It's like storing your money somewhere for a period of time and going back to pick it up. The only difference in this case is that the store has a name attached to it. Infact in some local banks, they deduct money for even saving your money with them and they call it charges!

The goal of Investment is increase and Bitcoin has proven in the years that it's worth every bit of it. Investment in Bitcoin can lead to generational wealth. Though investing in Bitcoin has it own risk but it's better compared to our local banking system.

I rest my case here.
