Re: Besides Doge, who are the 3 top Alt coins?
by

THIS IS A SUPER STUPID THREAD IDEA.

Every single person will post the coin they are currently pumping and will leave.

Litecoin is the top alt coin , there is no precise second , but there are many innovative coins.

Dogecoin is at the bottom of the shitpile of altcoins.

Thanks for your take on it. Of course people will post what they are pumping and that only shows that they give a damn to post.
When you hear the same coins mentioned a few times, thats a good sign, albeit cautionary as it could be a sock puppet.

Im interested in doing an article on the top 3 Altcoins aside from Litecoin and Dogecoin.

I think it would be interesting to visit back to the article in 6 months and a year and see how they stacked up.

So who would be the top 3 contenders?

MtGox Support has just been launched and you can submit your details that will be going to the legal team thats heading up the class action suit against MtGox. You can signup pretty much anonymously, with the only real giveaway being your email address, that they need to verify your account, but the rest you can make up and they even say to do so on their website.

Sign Up is only needed for MtGox users that lost Bitcoin. Do not sign up if you did not get GOXXED

When you signup, we do ask for your first name and last name, however, it is not compulsory and we only ask it, so we can identify you.

If you feel uncomfortable giving us your first and last name, feel free to make something up. We will need your email address to first confirm your submission and secondly to complete the signup.

Please note that ONLY your Username, Bitcoin lost and Wallet address will be visible to the public. After you have signed up, we will be asking additional information, but its all optional.

We recently rebuilt the website to optimize our reach.
We offer advertising banner which is also via donations and we are testing a few locations for those placements, which will be at the bottom of a post.

Our directory service is online. This is a free service as well and donations would be welcome

Last but not least, we started a new category for startups to send us information about the project and we will do an article if we deem it has value.

Before we did the change to the new system, we had over 56,000 visits.

Currently, we are hovering at 1000 visits a day, dependent on the articles we do. We expect this to increase to 3000 visits/day and as donations come in, that should increase as well. All out posts are syndicated to other platforms, such as Facebook, twitter and 4 other networks, but that will also increase in the next week as we will add another 10-15 new social networks. Our YouTube link points directly to MadBitcoins as we believe the guy does a great editorial and its our way to promote his services. Plus we enjoy his segments Smiley

Our Escrow system is getting close to completion and that will be on offer as well, with no fees but simply a donation.

Any authors that do write for us, have their BTC wallet address available in the Authors box and readers can donate to them directly, so they can get some income from their efforts.

Cheers
Mentaso

EDIT: We decided on the donation system to give us an idea of what users want with no bias. This may change at anytime as our popularity increases.

What is your experience and track record?
I have done a couple of investments only in bitcoin companies. I like to keep this private since.

What are your general terms?

I don't have general terms, since it based on the company and the person/people that are the founders. I have done everything from taking 1-5% of a company, to buying the company outright because I felt the company wasn't going in the direction it could be.

What specific kinds of projects are you looking for? What are you not looking for?

Legal, and I enjoy mostly data/technical projects since that is what I am most interested in, and have most of my experience.

Besides capital, what other value will you bring to the table?

I am an entrepreneur myself, so I know the ups and downs. I have some connections to help guide you in the areas I don't know. Bottom line I been in bitcoin for over 3yrs, I have obviously use my early adaptation to build a great career for myself, and I love to help bring people in this world the bring them to the top. I am young so I get my hustle on. I have no problem, staying up to 5am, figuring out the next steps if we have a jam or really pushing for the gold. I am probably the most passionate person in bitcoins, I eat, sleep breathe it so there isn't too much I can't help a young company do in this market.

Interesting you say that... But still ask for donations... I dont get it

And it is interesting cause people still send donations Wink

No need for me to comment further....  Wink

I still don't get your comment? People donate to me and you know I donate that to a lot of people I think need or deserve it, or to Pure Bitcoin Charties. So while you probably went to the automatic I am a greedy person, that is far from the truth Wink

I wouldnt suggest that... is that how you see it?
I just find it amusing what people say ...

I dont think malware of keylogger could have accessed a password management tool... Is that possible?

His security setup

1. Password management software randomly generated a 10 plus digit password, using numbers, letters, Caps, no Caps, special characters
2. At no time was the password every keyed in. This eliminates the "key-logger" issue
3. The password was never used elsewhere and was unique to this one account.

Yea, this is weird. I'm a KNC customer, a fairly semi-happy one all because I have a running miner right now but seeing a link in the Hashfast thread with an announcement with pictures of an empty box and power supplies is quite odd. Let me say something here. When I first got my miner which was the third week in October it ran rough. Like a car that hasn't been tuned. It needed 10 firmware revisions to get running smoothly. You have to take into account for all that time AFTER you receive your hardware that it's not going to run right when you first get it. You may need to wait a month or more until they pat down a solid firmware. This is a hard thing to follow here, and the only reason is of course curiosity and potential customer, but from what I've seen...Hashfast is just as MIA as KNC is.

KNC are definately doing the right thing, plus their customer support and release of news also betters the competition. http://narrock.com/threads/hashfast-suck.73/ is talking about difficulty with getting customer support to answer questions and as we mentioned before, we have been getting some feedback, but as of recently it seems to have dried out.

Recently we went through the Hashfast customer support and asked about alternative ways to pay for a miner and its been well over 5 days now and still no reply.

There are 2 things every Asic manufacturer must do.

-- Talk to their customer
-- Release information, even if it means sending demo rigs out to reliable testers

Apart from KNC and (I hate to say it) BFL have done just that. KNC release plenty of info and their customer support isnt too bad. BFL sent out demo equipment to users "codinginmysleep" and others, which confirms hardware. BFL and KNC also have forums, which can be risky, but at least it lets their users discuss issues directly within the site. You have to give them credit for that  Wink

@ aerobatic

Your very right on that and we also questioned Cointerra on exactly the same issue as they where showing videos of their demo rig running, albeit an FPGA system.
We did a short article on Cointerra as well.
