Be happy that you have a verified account.

Smiley - but that isn't worth anything if they do not credit my account in time.

BTW: 32 confirmations, 4h later - no BTC  Angry

BITSTAMP not reliable - very disappointing :-(
by
Mik
on 06/12/2013, 11:15:59 UTC
Today I transferred BTC 10,- to my Bitstamp address!
On their site they state it takes only 3 confirmations and about 1h for a BTC-deposit.

Now it's nearly 3h and 20! confirmations later - but not a sigle Bitcoin showing up in my account yet!!!
Currently it cost me 300,- bucks. Hopefully BTC reaches desired price again for today and Bitcoins enter my wallet soon.

I really thought Bitstamp is more reliable. But it lost my trust today :-(

Does anybody else have problems like this on Bitstamp, or is it just bad luck?

There are usury caps in Australia, UK, France, lots of countries.

I only list US because I know more details.

Obviously NOT in UK!

Re: new bitcoin difficulty to 263,358,983 and future profitability of mining
by
Mik
on 16/10/2013, 18:43:44 UTC
The thing is, that when all those miners begin to realize, that mining is absolutely NOT profitable anymore, but in contrary creates big losses, because you always will be too late when you receive your miner, BTC will also die, because nobody is hashing anymore!!!

That's the bug in the system  Embarrassed

Re: Everybody who gives BFL more money is a fool

This is no argument.

Imagine you would have bought 40BTC at $100 instead of a Monarch and sold it at $500 in May 14 (if it was that high), while the Monarch has only made a revenue of 8 BTC in May 14!

Hey you would still have 40BTC worth $20,000 and be able to buy a big fat TH-machine. But with the Monarch you would have made a deficit of 32! Bitcoins and be left with only 8 and only if the the price was really $500 AND you really got your Monarch in Jan!

Wish BFL would be as trustworthy and fair as Avalon instead of beeing a scam :-(
by
Mik
on 01/09/2013, 14:48:39 UTC
Avalon decided to revert their policy on no refunds and offers the option for customers to request a full refund(in bitcoin) if so desired because the delivery of chips have been delayed, even though these events were outside of their control!
This is what I count fair and trustworthy! Cheesy

Contrary to this, the BFL scammers ask for even more money and urge customers to upgrade to a worthless (at BFL delivery time) product called Monarch.

Everybody who gives BFL more money and upgrade to a Monarch is a fool and will be proofed that he is a fool! Even if he would get the board in Jan 2014 (lol - rofl) he would NEVER go break-even at current diff increase of 130%/Mo, even at a rate of $500/BTC. -> http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/f107581326

Hope you don't mind a newbie question here!  Wink
But does it still make sense to buy a Radeon 7850 for mining?
How long does it currently take for you guys to mine 1BTC with such a 7850?

Since I'm totally new to mining I run a test with my gforce at about 80Mhs and didn't make even 1 satoshi in days. So when I multiply times 3.5, which is about the performance of a 7850 (280Mhs), whats the gain? It still would take months to make 1BTC. Am I wrong?

Hello,

if there are only 21million BTC ever, then I can't imagine, that this system will last very long! Since people loose, lost and will loose their wallets, the quantity of coins will decrease continually until there are so few coins left, that the system cannot work anymore! Where am I wrong?  Huh
