Re: Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2019
by
Mikcik
on 25/07/2019, 10:57:30 UTC
Wow, this thread was made last year before the IEO boom. I think the ICO era has ended since the beginning of 2019 and all investors went to invest in the IEO. ICO has been considered unsafe by most people because it only creates new scammers in the future. Well, now we just wait until the IEO's heyday ends like ICO, I think there will be a lot of better new fundraising methods in the future.
Although the ICO has been abandoned yet I think the IEO method is less effective as well, because the developers only choose a small market to raise its funds, if they choose a large market like Binance will surely quickly depleted the tokens that want to Sold.

ICO is not focused like IEO, calling for capital by selling tokens through exchange brings a lot more attraction. Since projects that are sold on large exchange are real projects

Yet to expect bull run this could take until 2020 if cannot be fulfilled by 2019.

Don't loss your optimism, there are some corrections but it's not a hardships, bitcoin has increased so far this year with a good rate and for it to start a bull run, it does not need 5 months or more to make it, at least that's what I know based on the past movement.

Yes, don't expect too much into the market, it will only bring the opposite. But if investors like that speculate that, invest and wait

Re: Exchanges that would list your coin for free or a very small fee?
by

We have been in contact with exchanges that are asking several BTC to get listed. Some other are asking just a small fee.

What are your experiences and advices about quality exchanges that would list you either for free or a small fee? What exchanges you would consider as far as listing a new coin at first?

Update: I have found that thread that precisely answer to all my questions
Check it out! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5079048.0

As I think that exchange rates are low to list or don't need many conditions, it will lead to exchange where there are many altcoin without volume. Because exchange listed is often a small exchange with not many users, they can do more to attract more people

Re: Beware of ieo exchanges

Yea, it's true IEO is the order of the day now and most exchanges which are not even on the top 10 exchanges in crypto are hosting IEO, to save your funds and make more gains, invest in IEO of top 5 exchanges hosting IEO
even for the top 5 exchanges there is no guarantee of profit. Have you ever heard of the IEO project in Bittrex which made many investors still suffer losses? it should provide an experience for everyone if investment in the IEO is not a solution to profit.

Bittrex has long ceased to be the largest exchange. It refuses to update to improve better support for users, so many people have moved to another exchange to trade. So Bittrex IEO fails, I think it's not surprising

Can someone please tell me why this good altcoins are getting delisted from bitone exchange?is there any other reasons why coins always get delisted while they have good volume?

I'm confused because quantstamp and status aint bad at all, they have good marketcap and good volumes

After a while of searching, I found BigOne users mostly from China. And maybe their users don't trade these altcoin much. So they decided to delist them

There are a lot of good bounty at the moment, but to avoid repeating this question, I think you should search for yourself and join some bounty. You will have the experience of choosing the best bounty

Re: LIBRA - Strategy for world domination
by
Mikcik
on 19/07/2019, 09:54:25 UTC
Is Libra the first step for Facebook to take control of the world?

Lets think about the facts:
- Facebook has 1/3 of the world as its user base (2.4 billion users)
- Libra coin will be very easily accessible to all of facebooks users
- Libra coin will be a stable coin, price will not fluctuate providing users in 3rd world countries with a medium to store their wealth.

There are already countries (like venezuela) where a national financial crisis caused fiat money to lose all worth. In desperation people are moving their life savings to bitcoin... Considering that bitcoin is a hard resource for the average person to use, imagine how quick adoption of Libra will be. Libra will be available to use on every cheap smartphone. Developed by Facebook it is sure to be a very user friendly experience, everyone will be able to use Libra. People will use it like real money in every possible way through things like facebook messenger, online shops, international transfers, peer to peer transfers...

Facebook has penetrated our lives in almost all possible ways; relationships, news, entertainment, social gatherings, advertising... the list goes on. The only thing facebook still doesn't have control over is our money. Here comes Libra...

The snowball is rolling, it can not be stopped.

Imagine the world in 20, maybe 50 years.

With the addition of Libra, and a very smart plan for user adoption Facebook can rise to a position of such great power, that it will be in control of the whole world.

If Libra is officially established by the US government and other countries agree. It will affect all existing banks and financial corporations. That will affect a lot of companies and even a nation's finances. I don't think Libra will be accepted early this year

A good crypto project is enough to change one's life so why not take the chances?all i keep doing is making sure i get a share hold of very good coins or tokens with real use case and yes i did have many coins but i believe that a good crypto project is all we need. Am I doing the right thing?

Crypto can change your life, which is what I experienced in 2017. Crypto made my property rapidly increase several dozen times, making it possible for me to buy a house, while that in my country need to work for years

Re: IDEX is complying to KYC and other regulations
by
Mikcik
on 19/07/2019, 09:38:01 UTC
https://t.co/BOlh4wF1Ju

Another big "DEX" falls down to the regulations, it's safe to say that they shouldn't be called a dex anymore. Same thing happens with Binance "DEX" they are all complying to these things killing the aspect of a DEX exchange.

The reactions from the customers is obviously negative, the exchange betrayed their audience and it will be interesting to see what happens to IDEX now. I won't use it anymore.

SwitchDex took advantage of this situation and published. https://twitter.com/SwitchAg/status/1151580771762786306
Their DEX looks good and they making sure privacy is the primary focus.

What other DEX you think will fall into the KYC hands and what DEX will you use now?

WTH, a DEX requires creating a new account by email, so I don't know at what point "decentralized" it is? So long ago we just need to connect our wallet to DEX. Yes I'll see what will happen with IDEX.
I only use IDEX and sometime forkdelta. Binance DEX doesn't support ERC20 tokens. Other DEXs don't have volume. So what should we do now??

I don't understand why IDEX's owner came up with this request. What they are think wrong about exchange decentralization

I gave up on them a few months ago, after a while holding them in the belief that it will rise again. I lost patience, sat down to learn about the projects I was holding, if the project stopped developing, I sold out the coin of the project.

Re: How safe is Tether.to/USDT?
by
Mikcik
on 15/07/2019, 09:03:23 UTC
Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering about people's opinions on how safe is Tether.to/USDT? In terms of putting largish amount of money in there ($10k+), what is the risk of the service going out of business, or not honoring withdrawals? I.e. what is the risk of another Mt Gox, Mintpal or Cryptsy incident on here?

I can see that it still says "Beta" on the main page, and that it's a Hong Kong outfit. Not sure what kind of financial regulation/overwatch they have over there when it comes to these things.

I guess other little warning bells are that they don't have an easily accessible support link on their user interface (you can however email support@tether.to), or at least I couldn't easily find it.

Is there a safer way (which is still easy and cheap) to park some USD while BTC is going through it's fluctuations?

Thanks

Tether is now the stablecoin with the biggest cap, over $ 3 billion, so I think your $ 10k compared to the amount they have is very small. If they go bankrupt, many people die before you j/k   Cheesy

Re: Bounty Campaigns deceiving hunters by changing rules? Read this!

These forum moderators don't like bounty, because it gives them a lot of spam posts from bounty hunter. I think it's hard to have a protection system for bounty hunter. Many bounties have declined their responsibilities and do not distribute tokens for bounty hunter

Re: hardware wallets safe?
by
Mikcik
on 14/07/2019, 09:36:34 UTC
I personally think it is safe as an offline wallet offers the highest level of security for storing crypto is it involves storing the funds in a secured place that is not connected to any network. This type of wallet can also offer good protection against computer vulnerabilities. The hardware wallets are the best type of offline wallet that offers very high security and ease of use. Also, as these wallets allow backup, you can easily recover your funds if you lose this device.

One such example of a hardware wallet is Trezor. It operates as secure cold storage. You can easily transfer bitcoins to the device using the Trezor interface, which is accessible from macOS, Linux, Windows, and Android. Its interface is quite easy to use that lists your coins and recent transactions.

Trezor uses a 12 to 24-word seed for protection and recovery and a user-defined PIN. You can also add an encrypted passphrase to your wallet for an added layer of security.

what say u?

Cold wallet is one of the best asset protection methods available today. Just as many wallet mobile themselves claim to be "hard wallet without deveice" but many people have complained that they lost their properties via mobile wallet. So for me the hard wallet is still the best

Re: Most new ICO/IEO projects are new crypto trading platforms
by
Mikcik
on 14/07/2019, 09:32:22 UTC
It's understandable it's a multi-million dollar venture, every project wants to get a crack of it, but the competition is so stiff and it's a dog eat dog business, so many shills and fuds for each exchange no wonder only a few succeed on this venture, right now it's not attractive anymore as there are so many failed ICO based exchange

There is a ranking site for bounty, I know that. I only searched by hand in the Bounties section of the forum. After finding new bounties, I researched their projects more thoroughly then if I feel good I will participate.

Re: Ideal Time to Accumulate more Alts?
by
Mikcik
on 14/07/2019, 09:18:42 UTC
Dip time is the best time to buy cheap altcoins. Cryptocurrency is like a sinosiodal wave with its high points and low points. The bear market gives rise to the bull market and vice versa. So if altcoins are currently under bear, now is the best time to load your bags

The question is always asked and when is dip, when you think it is very low, it will continue to decrease. This market is a highly volatile market, it can change at any time

Good evening everyone, I want to share a little bit of saturation but also want to share the spirit in the current market conditions (Altcoin Prices). When you decide to trade, you must set aside a lot of time to monitor price movements. Actually not only choose the time to buy or sell, but there must be a growing spirit of self. Don't focus too much on conditions, but we need refreshment of mind to make a new strategy. I am optimistic that the altcoin price will grow well, maybe later this year. Do you think so now? Thank you,

I also think like you, many people are too impatient to invest, and that is a taboo in all areas of investment. I once advised my friend to invest in NEO when it was $ 15, and then it dropped to $ 7. However, I still advised him to continue holding them. And last month NEO surpassed the $ 15 mark

Re: Is regulation good or bad?
by
Mikcik
on 13/07/2019, 08:09:36 UTC
It will be good that crypto will be more popular all over the world, because after having clear regulations the governments will give their people more exposure to crypto. When initially Bitcoin was created, it shaped a currency unaffected by any country, but I think it should change to be more suitable.
