Ink Protocol (XNK) and Listia
by
Mike0029
on 18/05/2018, 21:45:20 UTC
I'm curious if anyone here has checked out Ink Protocol and used it on Listia. Listia is an online marketplace and they updated their native currency on the site to Ink Protocol (XNK) which is an ERC-20 token. I have used Listia for years and find it a nice change that they are adopting crypto. If you haven't checked it out, you can get 25 XNK free with my referral here www.listia.com/invite/BVZNCK let me know what you all think!

Chinese Pools and Double Spending...
by
Mike0029
on 11/07/2015, 01:12:48 UTC
Sorry if this is mentioned elsewhere, but with with Chinese pools refusing to stop SPV mining, and all these "stress tests" going on right now with the double spending warning up... What are the odds of a double spend occuring? Does a double spend somehow duplicate the Bitcoins being double spent, or does one party get screwed over? Here is a list "The latest 200 double spends (10 Minute Cache)" https://blockchain.info/double-spends only 1 of which (.5% of list at time of this post) in 2014 and 195 of which (97.5% of list) happened this month! Have the Chinese figured out how to successfully double spend using all their hashpower? Is this what is causing the BTC price to go up, due to manipulation? Should this be means for concern for the entire network, since the biggest pools refuse to comply with stopping SPV mining???

Re: BITMAIN announces Antpool

I figured I could join in on this discussion... what are people's thoughts on this?

https://forum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/1832?page=1

I slowly got into mining, based on interest in Bitmain ASICs, even tried out their cloud mining at Hashnest, but realized that it is almost a Ponzi scheme, especially when I lost about half my investment with their New Year's "gift" (which isn't much considering I know others who lost much more there with this stunt they pulled):

https://forum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/983

Thanks to Bitmain being shady, I am completely out of mining, as it seems they like to control the market:

https://forum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/1829

I have a feeling that this is the "centralization" of a decentralized currency.... Considering they manufacture the ASICs, and can plug as many as they want, and you KNOW they will announce the Antminer S50+ with 10 PH power in just a month (sarcasm), even though they still have a good inventory of their last model that they haven't sold... and they will probably sell too...

just like their PACMiC scheme:

https://forum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/1823

What also scares me, is that most Bitcoin nodes are US based, yet the biggest ASIC manufacturers and pools are Chinese based...

seems overpriced!
i saw 2 of these cards for 5$each at a pawnshop.
and its stil availiable after months^^

I would have jumped on that deal if it was the DDS-001 variant Blue-Eyes, here is a link to one in "heavy play" on ebay for $85 http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/171809706518?lpid=82&chn=ps and that is one of those 3 cards...  I agree though, Yu-Gi-Oh cards aren't worth too much, unless you have ones like those 3... Those 3 are probably worth about as much as I would get total from the rest of my cards.

How much for all the cards (the ones in excellent/like new condition) shipped to Canada?

What would you offer for what I have listed? I'm not exactly sure what they are worth, so I am open to offers. If you are buying in bulk, I'll let you sort out the ones you don't deem near mint, but if you are buying singles I'll check conditions on the singles you want, as I don't have time to check all of them for condition. I'm not exactly sure how much it costs to ship to Canada either.

For the listia listing, how much for the Blue Eyes White-Dragon, Dark Magician, and that Exodia Piece? Are they all holo?  What condition are they in?

Those 3 are prismatic secret rare style of holos, and they are in near mint condition. They are some of the rarest Yu-Gi-Oh cards out there, as they came out with the first run of the GameBoy Color game Dark Duel Stories. Listia credits aren't necessarily tied to monetary value, but I'm asking 1,000,000 Listia credits which is around $200-300. If you are interested, I would like to get somewhere around 1 BTC for those 3.
Eh... I'm only looking for regular edition or first edition cards that are in mint condition... so no thanks for that.  Do you have any "powerful" cards that would meet my criteria?

Did you look at the lists I added to my original post? They are listed by set, and numerically... Are you just looking for holos? I could sort those and and give you a list of my mint condition holos
I'm sorry, but I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh for QUITE some time... do you mind posting the full set names?  I do not know what LOB or MRL or MLD is... Sad
I'm ok with ANY edition of the card, even if they are second edition... as long as they are in top notch condition.

Just posted the full set names, and if you remember certain card names, you can always use ctrl+f to see if it is on the list.

Most of the sets are near complete, except for LON, it would be better is you asked me which ones I don't have from those sets. I remember that I don't have the 5 Exodia pieces from LOB anymore, and I don't have Jinzo from PSV. I can try to compile a complete list here in a bit, and possibly take some pictures, here is one picture I took that shows a sample of the holos that I have http://s23.postimg.org/a7wfsfv9j/image.jpg

This is to gauge interest. I have lots of singles from the early sets, namely LOB-PSV, and some LON. Most cards are near mint and I can post pictures of any cards that you want to see. Let me know if you are interested. Escrow is welcome and you can set that up. I know I am a new user, so if there is interest I can do small orders to test the waters. You can also search me on Listia, I have 100% feedback there with the same username Mike0029.

Edit:

I'm an idiot and didn't realize I can edit my original post. It also looks like I'm missing a lot of the cards I remember having. Anyway I'll add everything I have here so far:

Ok, I'm importing set lists into Excel right now and deleting the cards I don't find, then I'll copy and paste them here. Sorry for taking so long, I have been busy. If you have any questions about any cards in particular, like condition, edition, pictures, etc. let me know. I also have the very rare first three Dark Duel Stories cards currently listed on Listia, but if they don't sell on there I can post those here, you can check those out here: listia.com/r1ofypi/3301354

I just finished LOB and will get the other lists set up shortly:

Yeez, have antpool just given up? I find it hard to believe that there is no solution to this problem.

BTW 0.0Hs for several hours now.

Same here my miners all switched pools.  I can see 2 big losses of miners in 24 hours.

Is there any updates as far when it should be fixed?

When I spoke to them last on the phone earlier today they said they are having issues with CLOUDFARE working with the miners. I see its not fixed yet come on already BITMAIN.

In cgminer, there is a specific path and process of work from the pool to cgminer, to the device, back to cgminer and back to the pool again.
Bitmain messes with that process.
My first release I did of their S1 driver, I spent time fixing that process.
They ignored the changes.

So the simplest answer is to point out that what the Bitmain antminers show with their versions may not always be correct .......... on all their miners.

Thanks for the answer! Bitmain really ignored it? They have really been letting me down lately with all their sites being down due to DDoS, and now this, but that's life! My main reason for asking about it in the first place is because I was debating on trying solo mining, now I know it was a BUG (like an ANT  Wink ) and solo mining would pretty much be pointless for me.

~Mike

Bitmain messes up a lot of things. Every version of S3 firmware introduces some new problem. They are very sloppy in writing firmware and seem to not test it very well either.

I will have to agree, there is no consistency. It took me some time to find a stable firmware. Updating firmwares are always risky with any device, the less you do it, the better. I had to do this more than I would have liked.

Perhaps their own firmware is ironically what is preventing their customer's Antminers from connecting to Antpool through Cloudflare... Probably not though, since their miners for Hashnest are connected just fine

Don't hide your worker details. Promote them!  If someone uses them all they're doing is mining for you.

Everyone should mine on Slush using worker bigbitmine.donate

Every little helps!

Gotcha! I just blotched everything out, because that's what I have seen others do on these forums when they post pictures of their Antminer GUI... Here it is again, with my worker details, as you can see pool #1 and #2 are exactly the same...

http://s23.postimg.org/ruyc74m1j/Found_Block.jpg

So, yeah, I have no idea what is going on... then again I don't know if "LSTime" means "LastShareTime"... that was just a guess...

~Mike0029

I think you suspected right in the first instance. The "block" share was found on slush ..... but it was stale, i.e submitted after the work was timed-out (or after someone else had already submitted the same share)!

On the stale share being logged as a found block, I believe that is a bug in cgminer (or it may indeed be by design!), but the best place to ask that question would be in the cgminer thread. I say it may be a bug because despite clearly not being logged as your best share (and is definitely higher in size than your best share), it has been marked (and logged) as a found block, despite it being stale. So yeah, head over to ckolivas' thread and throw that his way ....

edit: Very strange as you seem to have good connectivity to the pool, aka only 1 stale share in 2 days + ...... very strange indeed that it had to be the found block that turned out to be timed-out!

I was told to bring my questions over here, so:

I still don't fully understand mining, so pardon my ignorance if this has been answered or addressed already, or if this is in the wrong thread. Thanks for any insight into the issue. I use Slush pool as my primary BTC mining pool, and I currently run 2 underclocked Antminer S1's on the pool at 130 GH/s. As far as I know, Slush pool DOES NOT merge mine any alt coin of sorts, so this is where my problem arises... I know that the Bitcoin network difficulty is at 47427554950 and I would need a "BestShare" greater than that number to find a block. One of my Antminer S1's report a "FoundBlock" and this isn't the first time this has happened at Slush pool for me, however my "BestShare" is only 66,379,851... My main questions are: Why does this happen? Does Slush actually merge mine and just not tell the users? Is my Antminer S1 just being glitchy? Does the "1" under "Stale" explain this? I did a little bit of research and the only altcoin that I found that can be merge mined with BTC AND has a difficulty below 66,379,851 is i0coin... Did my miner find an i0coin block, because it is possible to "merge mine" with Bitcoin? Here is an image for reference:

http://s21.postimg.org/9rdz8c737/Found_Block.jpg

Thanks again for any help!

Ironically this isn't the first time that one of my Ant's has shown "FoundBlock" on Slush' pool... I have only encountered this problem on that (Bitcoin) pool too... As you can tell by only being on for about 3 days, I turn my miner off every once in awhile (due to the outdated efficiency of Ant S1).... One time one of them had 2 FoundBlocks! I do believe it is a glitch though, because the "BestShare" has never been more than the Bitcoin network difficulty... Will head over to that thread and ask over there, thanks for the answers!

So, yeah, I have no idea what is going on... then again I don't know if "LSTime" means "LastShareTime"... that was just a guess...

Thanks again for any help!

Looking at your image, you may have slush as your main pool, but your S1 has also been mining elsewhere during the session it reports a block as having been found (i.e your second pool). If indeed one of your secondary pools is an altcoin one, then that is where you found the block (as clearly your best share is not big enough to be a BTC block).
Additionally, I do not believe that a stale share can also be flaged as a found block, so that is that with that.

Thanks for the quick reply! I could see it being my third pool at ispace.co.uk, however that one has a "LSTime" (LastShareTime?) of Never, and the second one is just my Slush info again (I have it twice in the miner in case I change the primary pool, I can just copy and paste Slush info back into primary pool since it has been reliable for me)... Image again, showing the pool URLs:
