By request of Mikemike, the escrow coins are now staking

Thanks CG,

The reason for having them stake here and there is to increase the number of coins
we can use to attract a permanent new Dev etc. in the future.
Since nearly all my Korecoins, alt coins and BTC were stolen I no longer have the ability
to donate towards this process as I had promised.

what happens to the holders of viorcoin in case of an take over ?? are the coins lost or just the name changes ??

I'm trying to get a meeting with Bitcoin Carpenter to run through a few options
and find out what research and ideas he has. He said he's busy till early July.
Looking forward to that meeting since I can't do anything without his input and consultation.

If we want to continue this project it is going to take time and money.

I am unsure whether there are enough people with either here to make this project fly....

I am unwilling to front the bill by myself, because unless there are enough people to drive usership I will just be throwing away money...

A month ago when I asked if anyone would like to help with the development I only got replies from 2 people...  one of which has since had his viorcoin  position stolen.

We need community support to continue with this project...

I'll donate some vior too

We need to have a whitepaper, Even MIKE would readily help us through it and many other if we need them -http://startuphangar.com/

After consulting with a highly talented coder working with us there will be no White Paper for Kore nor Vior that will be provided by the Kore Team nor do we suggest putting something out called a "White Paper" unless it's a ground breaking innovation in Coding or something truly ground breaking that could impact the world such as Satoshi Nakimoto's "White Paper" that changed computer science forever.
All these alt coins publishing so called white papers are nothing more than a road map with some explanation of some tech they have/or are going to include.
Anyone who is familiar what a white paper really is would laugh/not take seriously these alt coins publishing these so called "white papers".
The Aether OS FIRE Security feature when complete could be deserving of a real White Paper but due to a serious illness the Coder working on it cannot do intense coding till they fully recover.

The Kore Team and I have no problem with putting out as detailed a road map including whatever we can talk about regarding our projects associated with Kore, Aether Kripton OS and the Korephone without giving too much away.
The Kore Team can also work on a road map of what the Kore Team would like to see Vior become and how it will be useful to Kore and other prospects.
First I need to have an in depth meeting with Bitcoin Carpenter. He has been made aware on numerous occasions how important this is and I'm sure soon as his schedule opens up he will contact me to have that meeting.
Both these "Road Maps" can be printed on "White Paper" BUT a white paper they will not be called.

Sincerely,
MikeMike

If anyone wants to donate some Vior or Kore to me personally I won't turn it down.
Under the circumstances if anyone really wants to help I highly suggest mainly contributing BTC to the Kore Team Projects using the address below.
The stronger and more solid the Kore Team and projects are the more we can help with Viorcoin.
I was not long ago contemplating paying for the Gateway services myself if I could not find
ones to at least pay for half of it. This is 4.5-7k which includes 3-9 months of services.
It's a one time fee that costs the most.
I no longer have the BTC so am no longer able to help financially unless something happens
in my personal life or line of work but frankly my move cost near 25k and it wiped my safety fund out.

Well, The need of the hour is doing more than "JUST TALL TALKS" be it on any coloured paper. Anyways PM your vior address....

Thanks Rakesh!

Thanks for those who donated some Korecoin to my personal address!
 Smiley Smiley Smiley
The 10Kore and 3,365Kore are much appreciated! I used to have a ton of Kore
I bought at much higher prices and was only going to trickle sell, never dump
and it was going to pay for Tech. and Advertising etc aimed at increasing it's value.
160,000 of that stolen Kore was to go directly towards giving A/the new Devs
an incentive to come on board. The large amounts of Kore given to them would come
with an arrangement for part at a time to eliminate the dumping of coins.

New wallet will be released soon

Not soon unfortunately.
We could release the takeover wallet in about 4-7 days.
Most that work has been done but compiling into Windows from Linux
which is going to cost .5BTC unless we can get it done in house somehow
but even that may cost .7BTC which is more than the .5BTC to set up
the in house Windows wallet compiler environment.
The benefit of the .7BTC option is that from then on we should always
be able to compile Windows wallets in house with minimal outside help.
This saves money in the long run.
Since we had to shelf the FIRE Browser for now we are trying to come up
with something else to release so it's just not a coin takeover
with a new version name.
We are getting the research and info and pricing that is IF what has
been proposed could actually be done.

Sorry to make it all about the money. I used to just pay what needed to be paid.
I don't have that option anymore.

Let's hope some day this will be true.
The original Kore VoIP to my knowledge was not secure.
The old dev let everyone believe that is was secure and whatever else
they wanted to believe.
The Kore Team does have plans to one day make this a reality
but first things first.

I had 0.02btc on a buy order for Kore. instead, I donated it. I know it is not much but as you said, it can add up. hope it helps. good luck!

Thanks for your Contribution to the work soupapinto,
It did and is going directly to the work to get the new wallet released.
I can understand a 0.02 donation could affect you more than someone
who donated 0.2, 2 or 20BTC. One day you will look back to a cool memory
where you were pivotal to the success of all that Korecoin and the Kore Team
want to bring to the people.

Cheers!

To the Community:

We cannot stress this enough.
For the Kore Team to continue with the new Kore Wallet release thereby fully taking over Korecoin and the numerous Kore Team Projects we are asking for your Donations in BTC, they are needed and needed ASAP. We realize times are tough. If you could only afford a few bits of BTC then please still consider donating. If there is someone that likes what we are doing that could afford a larger donation to see these projects through please do. I am no longer in a position to fund the projects.
The Donation Address is below. A detailed ledger will be provided showing where each payment goes to.

Most Sincerely,
MikeMike

Thanks DF for your kind and generous Donation.
For those that can't afford something this large just a few BTC Bits is fine as it all adds up
and we realize the sacrifice this could mean for you.
For those wishing to make larger donations allowing us to focus on more of our projects
please consider it. This will ensure a fast tracking of a few projects and more wallet features at once.

Any eta for new wallet?

The Kore Team had decided against providing dates and detailed dated road maps
for a few reasons which for the most part should be evident.

The new korecoin wallet will be released once the new feature is proven to work
in the wallet and all the work on the wallet has been paid for.

can you also list kore wallet address for donations. I will send a little not much...

Thanks for your wanting to donate Korcoin. BTC Donations are what are needed for the foreseeable future but won't turn down Kore Donations since we made offers to a prospective dev
in Korecoin but I no longer have the ability.

I have not yet setup another one for KORE Donations and won't for another week or two.
DO NOT use any addresses in the Escrow account to donate.
I asked the Escrow agent to freeze all accounts for now.

I have posted a Kore address for personal donations to a post RW made but
don't think that's what you are referring to here.

1) No, the new VoIP will not be in the next release and was previously mentioned it would not.
The plan is eventually to write our own VoIP hopefully providing you with something of a bit better quality than anything existing. We may however use something in the mean time till the Kore VoIP is written.

2) I like the idea to leave the amount staking up to the individual to support the Kore Network as was mentioned in the website under the Browser Section but we may need to continually remind ones to stake some coins to support this unique free feature to surf the net anonymously.

3) All calls to regular phone numbers through the Gateway would need to be charged for. The cheapest way is to use a service provider but the calls won't be as cheap. Alternatively the software and service software could be purchased and costs between 4-7k. I was considering paying for this software but am no longer able to.

4) Due to a serious illness and lack of funding the Original FIRE Browser will no longer be in the next wallet release though we are working on providing you an alternative.

Thanks MM,

1) Yes I thought so, I just wanted to clarify that before we got too in depth on the charging of the VOIP, although it is a discussion that should always be progressing it currently seems it is not a vital point for the next release.

2) If we could somehow lock the browser tab unless the wallet is staking, that would guarantee users would atleast need some coins in the wallet to use the feature, but would not limit it to larger KORE holders like setting a minimum holding requirement would.

3) We may have to just use a VOIP service first, then as it moves forward setup our own. Is this the part VIOR could potentially setup and we pay them as the service provider, I recall you mentioning something like this?

4) Does this mean that it won't be coded from scratch, more based on 3rd party software? It sounds like FIRE can continue if things get back on track which is good.

5) I will go ahead and donate .1 or 2 in the next couple of days, it might mean pulling my small buy support, hopefully some other junk sells though hehe.

1) Yes and I agree. For Korecoin to survive we need to concentrate on the immediate needs.

2) It's wise to consider all opinions and ideas and we appreciate yours. If we lock the browser till staking it makes easy access of the NET delayed. We know a good standard in design is user friendly features and something quick to use. Maybe just having some coins set aside for staking in the wallet if possible, could be a more suitable option allowing ones to securely surf the NET soon as the wallet opens. We will not have to wait till it's actually staking.
This may also work for the VoIP user interface as well allowing for the individual user to decide how much they want to stake to support these wonderful free features the Kore Team is endeavoring to provide meeting needs people have these days.
This is why we always appreciate open conversation on matters (where suitable) since one persons suggestion or idea can be the seeds to viable solutions to be considered.

3) Yes on all your points. It's not as simple as it seems and will concentrate more on the VoIP once the new wallet is released. It seems the old Vior and Kore devs were thieves and stole some proprietary VoIP code or stole the money to buy the VoIP software for the VoIP services. When we are done wallet to wallet calls can simply be free with the option to have some coins set aside for staking to support the freedom of the Kore Network as stated above in #2.

4) FIRE is shelved till further notice and of course we hope for the speedy recovery of the Coder that is responsible for it's conception and Code. This Coder is still very active in helping ones working on providing the alternative for secure web browsing just not as secure we feel FIRE could be.

5) DF and ALL,We really appreciate the BTC donation support which will allow the finishing up and release of the new Kore wallet and hopefully much more.

"Our immediate focus and need is keeping the current work progressing and being able to fund it.
I have funded it for many months but no longer have the ability."

1) Is the updated VOIP going to be in the next wallet release, or just the FIRE browser? I agree we should finish current projects first, so if FIRE is first we should be discussing that.

2) If the VOIP is in the next release I think we should have free wallet to wallet calls, if its possible to make it that the wallets would have to be staking something at least... that should be good enough. If we can't force the wallets to be staking to enable interwallet calls that is not so bad, at least it would help exposure and increase overall adoption.

3) Any calls to external networks and charging for them, well that discussion looks intense and I haven't read it all and need some sleep Wink

1) No, the new VoIP will not be in the next release and was previously mentioned it would not.

So what is the most urgent priority today?

Thanks ctya,

"Our immediate focus and need is keeping the current work progressing and being able to fund it.
I have funded it for many months but no longer have the ability."

"The biggest thing right now the Community could do is donate BTC to support it.
Korecoin donations are welcomed also but it's the BTC that will keep
progress moving and pay the bills of development.
The Community could also donate their skills and time."
There are possibilities for Bounties and payment for Coding work.
If anyone could be involved at this level PM me.

i dont think thats a good idea... i mean you are thinking in western standards...but what about the the people that dont hawe this standarts ?? 100 dollar in some countrys is like a lifetime to earn wile in others you can earn it in 1 hour ..so dont think its a good plan to go this way... i mean what kind of people should use kore ?? all or just some ??
btw... can anybody explain me the diverence kore to vpncoin ?? if there is no diverence kore should start to get some development because vnpcoin is 4 real ahead

Yes $100 seems like a lot and that is in USD so may have a different ability for other countries who are impoverished. But these impoverished people do not get to use the service for free just because they can't afford it. So the market will determine who has $100/$50/$25 to buy coin with and who doesn't just won't use the service. The fee isn't set $100 is a good starting point though.

The $100 is a lifetime of use. It also Stakes to make calls so you make money when calling, 25% or (X%) goes to Kore to pay for the service. If no one can afford the $100 then no one buys the coin and it stagnates, but at least it is there for those who can afford to use it. If you just make it free then it may go away by default if anyone could download the wallet and call for free. The coin has no real meaning at that point.

To combine the best of both worlds though charge a fee for those who do not want to buy the $100 worth of coin and then allow the people who bought the $100 worth of coin to Stake and make those Fees. That way you can casually use the service for a fee that goes to the entire network.

Quote
I like the idea and suggested it myself, of pegging the amount of Kore coins relative to BTC in some way. IF KORE/BTC goes up substantially they can sell some of that Kore for a profit.
IF KORE/BTC goes down they may have to add Kore to keep the VoIP Functional.
We can always change that amount as time goes on or do away with it when Kore is more stable.

The Gateway calls can be paid for in BTC and used to fund it and the Kore Team Projects.

This seems to be one way it could work well for the Coin and Community.

Yep, but I don't think it should change later. I think if you implement the minimum Coin Value Stake to Make calls and a Call per minute type scenario for a fee it drives buying and that also supports the selling of the Staking which Kore gets 25% and makes that more lucrative rather than just have money funneled through to BTC and pay the developers. Support in Market Cap is more important in the long run. Essentially the buying of the coin to make calls with shows Investor class adoption. This also allows investors to be paid for their investment even if the coin doesn't go up in price, they get their money back over time. People who don't want to invest and just use the coin pay the Fee and the investors get a portion if Staking.

It really grows exponentially from there since at that point the coin could be worth more than the fee and fractions can be used to pay with. Now the Staking percentages can also be set up as a Cost Structure instead of an Inflationary view. If you consider that Market Cap may exceed the base of cost for a lower level of service, you will need to then scale to meet the demand. This would have to be setup intrinsically within the Staking percentage. Everyone would agree to a higher percentage since they know it must grow at a higher rate than most coins who just value based on trade. Kore has services and must meet any financial aspects as any normal corporation would be required to. Yet still be decentralized. It is a very tight rope to walk.

Let's keep things separate.
Investment and Usage.

Investment:
There are laws that may have to be considered.
How do you propose to take a percentage of investment derived staking coins?

Usage:
Things can always change but all options should be considered.
With Kore being one of the rare coins centered around one or more services
that may be an option. We can cross that bridge in the future.

Our immediate focus and need is keeping the current work progressing and being able to fund it.
I have funded it for many months but no longer have the ability.
