Re: /!\ [ANN] [WDC][P2POOL] | [USA] | [SERVER RUNNING] | [1% FEE] /!\

That was my guess, but I noticed most other pools have some way of indicating it (push pools label as orphans, and p2pools don't assign it a block number, as far as I've seen).

It's totally understandable, as it wouldn't make sense for the pool to have 0 orphans. However, maybe implementing a way of showing that it's an orphan could be useful.

gpudude, I still love your pools, but we gotta figure out this payout issue. There are still blocks that are not getting paid out for me. It seems entirely random, but I grabbed a screenshot this time so you can look into it a little better. Specifically, you can see I did not receive a payout on blocks 74454 (14:41:51), 74563 (15:12:09) and 74657 (15:43:04). My address (WinBGHPuPstx7L36CEXrrrjrVoso5SA3Ng) has been in the payout list the whole time.

Anyone got some addnodes ? I'm trying to put the client on my laptop and I'm getting no connections, despite the port being forwarded.

Did you try this? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=204894.msg2203520#msg2203520

Thanks!

gpudude, I'm definitely missing some payouts here... I've been mining consistently for about 7 hours. My address shows up in the payouts, but I'm not getting paid on quite a large number of blocks.

For example, there was a block found at 20:50, and two at 20:58, and i did not receive any payout for these despite being in the payout list. This is just a very small example of the blocks I haven't gotten paid on.

In addition, I have horrible efficiency on your pool right now. 63% on my 900kh machine. I am using stratum, and I'm using your recommended settings (for queue and expiry, as well as the +#.### for share difficulty)

My address is WkBoLrmemSoLr3vGo9J9ptYPKXgfMvGS4o

Please look into this. I'm switching to a different pool until I get some feedback on this.

EDIT: Totally panicking here because you didn't respond right away at 4am. (just in case, I was being sarcastic).

it takes 1 line of code to make it MICRO SECONDS to confirm.
I takes SECONDS to confirm.

There is a fine line between balancing confirmation time with orphans and stale rates. A coin that confirmed in micro seconds would have an insane number of orphans and stales

As far as names go I like this coin!

DigitalCoin sounds much more acceptable to the general public than such coins as YACcoin (where I come from YAC is slang for vomit) and BBQcoin (what where they thinking?)

BBQCoin was never intended to be accepted by the general public :-p

Naming wise though, DigiCoin would have been so much better than DigitalCoin, imo

It's still incredibly disheartening that so many steps were taken to have a "fair launch", and then he launches it an hour earlier than he told everyone he would, without giving any advanced notice that there would be an earlier launch.

Approximately 1600 blocks left until difficulty 1 is reached.

Congratulations to the community for the successful launch and probably one of the first instances of fair early mining.

Only complaint I have is that it was launched early. You mentioned GMT -4 but you launched it GMT -5.

Agreed. Should have been launched when everyone was told it would, no earlier. I can't stay awake all night so I had an alarm set for 7. By the time I even had the client downloaded someone was almost to 6000 coins. Looks like a bulk of the early coins still landed in only a few pockets.

back to WDC I go at least until a stable pool is up. I solo mined for over an hour, starting when shares were 1.02k, and only made 66 DGC with 910kh/s. I had 15 total transactions, 9 of which were orphans

I have a hard time believing that over 4000 blocks were mined in 5 minutes (the count at 7:05 when I actually got to the computer). What happened to releasing at 7??

Hmm, interesting thread.

I have the following items available:

Bioshock Infinite code
Crysis 3 code
Assassin's creed 3 code (I did use this to install it on my computer, but I don't play anymore, so I'm pretty sure the code should be able to be used by another. correct me if I'm wrong)
Guild Wars 2 account (no notable toons, i think the highest I got to was in the teens or something)

I'm open to offers. Willing to send first to a highly reputed member. Otherwise we can use an escrow or something

Well, it's been quite a few hours now, and things are working excellently for me now. I ended up using the 1000kh setting (making shares of diff 76) and i'm getting good payouts frequently. Looks like I found my pool!

Posting over here now. Yea, I dunno what was up between 2-3AM EST and why my shares weren't counting, but I'm receiving payments now after mining for about 15 minutes. I also added the +0.00087310 and now the share difficulty is 57 which seems much more manageable. Will update again in a few hours.

Sitting at a steady 110MH/s... server needs some more of you miners Smiley

Point your miners at this pool. No registration required, fast payout rate!

Check it out here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=207463.0

I'm trying it again today. Last night I stopped receiving payments just before 2AM EST, despite the fact that i was submitting shares straight through to 3AM. Before that it was excellent. If I'm not receiving steady payments in 5 hours then I'm going elsewhere. but not erundook's pool because I'm definitely not earning quite what i should be there.

address is WkBoLrmemSoLr3vGo9J9ptYPKXgfMvGS4o in case you want to look into it or anything.

I gave up on pools and I'm just solo mining now Cheesy  Working out pretty well!!

I'd do the same if I had a respectable hashrate, but 900kh isn't enough for solo in my opinion.

I was able to get my coins off multipool easily.

Anyone worried about http://wdcpool.erundook.net (supposedly) having 336 Mh/s? that's about 60% of the network...is the reported rate just wrong? this seems like it could be a serious problem.

Yea... that's kind of a big deal. I'm considering switching to p2pool to reduce their power a bit. Plus it seems like I'm getting less than I should be here... with my hashing rate I should be earning 35%ish more than I am. I've been mining for over 4 hours there. Dunno if it has to do with orphans or what's up

erundook, maybe you should close registration for a bit?

EDIT: Just switched to http://212.48.67.50:8336. half a percent higher fee, but it helps distribute the hashrate and maybe I'll earn closer to what I should be earning. I'll update in a couple hours.
