Re: Is the government really scary?

You would have to have a lot of crypto for the govt to want to kill you for it, even then, they would rather just take it through intimidation. However, I don't know the vietnamese govt well, just a canadian here.

It's old school but I imagine that copper will only go up from here. We will need it for all further technologies, electric cars, computers, phones, buildings etc. Safe bet.

Re: To Stop the Cartels, Mexico Strongly Considering the Legalization of ALL Drugs
by

I think it's a smart move. Legalization is a big step compared to decriminalization, but without a doubt something needs to change in Mexico.

Re: Socialism vs capitalism ,which one is good for us ??

Capitalism. Not only because there hasn't been a model of socialism that isn't a utopia, but also because capitalism is functioning well for many. Aspects of both are needed for the perfect world, but in our world today I am happy with capitalism.

Re: Do you believe all muslims are bad?
by

No. Of course not, if you believed that I would assume you have never met a Muslim before. I went to a primarily Muslim school in France and I truly met people who were the kindest. They truly were ashamed of people from their countries and religion, and they did not identify with them at all. I do, however, acknowledge that not every Muslim is kind. Just as every atheist isn't rude, negative or a hater.

Re: Will Trump Be Re-elected?
by
MileyPeardon
on 31/07/2018, 23:08:58 UTC
No. He won't. Many people who stanned him before have even cringed at recent events. It is not a functioning government. There are consistent discrepancies between foreign policy and his social media, he often changes his opinions, does not follow through, has grandiose plans without structure or details given, has threatened to shut down government multiple times, and no, the US is not more respected now than before. I think that it may be close, but I do not believe he will be re-elected. It has been too messy. I believe a new candidate will arise, whom will have a lot of what people enjoy about Trump (a loud voice) with a more structured, detailed plan.

Re: What language should I learn next?
by

The great thing about learning Spanish, French or Italian is that once you have mastered one, the two others come far easier. Additionally, knowing English will make it easier as well. On the flip side, economically speaking learning Mandarin would be most helpful. Or perhaps, Hindi. I feel as though you would be really able to break into a developing market with Hindi.

Re: We need more moral education
by
MileyPeardon
on 31/07/2018, 22:31:57 UTC
No, it shouldn't be up to schools to teach us values, ethics or morals. That is the responsibility of those around us, family and friends, and yourself once you are older. The last thing we need is schools teaching us more about how to act and behave, we need more critical thinking taught. With critical thinking comes long-term thinking and maturity, and values, ethics and morals will follow.

Re: What if Government bans Bitcoins?

Highly unlikely. It is best to allow it and tax it, and create incentives to use local currency instead. There will be uproar with prohibition.

Officially, no it will probably never be. However, it's the closest thing to it currently. Even though some countries have deemed it illegal, it is still the closest thing to it. I think that definitely there will be a digital currency used as a global currency though. There will be incentives to use a local currency through your government, but we will have a choice

Re: Feminism : A valid cause?
by
MileyPeardon
on 31/07/2018, 21:18:21 UTC
Extreme feminism is obviously the more clickbait and exciting news, but real, to the core, feminism is just equality. Of course, there are many reasons to disagree with extreme feminists, but the core of it is not nearly what a few individuals make it to be.

Feminism started as an extremely valid cause, and for me, there is no need to advocate for it as I feel I am treated extremely fairly in Canada. But in other places in the world, we need feminism movements.

Re: Are you infavor of same sex marraige? Why?
by
MileyPeardon
on 31/07/2018, 21:11:18 UTC
Yes.

Because there is no harm in it.

No, the children don't grow up psychologically damaged. Children who grow up psychologically damaged are from households who do not want them, or are not ready for them. Families who are looking to adopt are in the perfect place for having a child, as they have been preparing and are grateful for a child, plus they must be investigated to see if they are fit. And people can also have children without marriage, you do not need to be married to adopt. So it is an unrelated point.
