I just did my part and bought some. I think the prices are great right now for an entry, the upwards potential is really big at the moment.

I just made a transfer to buy a little fraction to add to my wallet! Feels good getting it at this price . I dont think we'll go much lower even if things go south

Now is a good time to buy, everything is at a huge discount. If you sell now you'll probably regret not waiting a few more weeks in my opinion.

I wouldnt put money in any of those. If you research a little bit further you'll realize that there are better options out there for you to invest.

I wonder how this will affect the price in the short/long term. I think the devs and people behind a coin should have some skin in the game though..

It will reach 1k before the end of the year in my analysis. In 2018 we might see it go up to even 5k or more. Ethereum has an insane growth potential still.

Litecoin is not going anywhere, but i don't see it growing much further either. If bitcoin can scale, whats the point of LTC in the future?

This thread aged nicely huh? I'm expecting Ether to reach 1k by the end of the year. The all time high is already $850 or so, so pretty close to that figure.

This is a very tough question. I dont even like to imagine a scenario where bitcoin fails to scale, because it could get very ugly for all cryptocurrencies in the market...

I think what happens is that the volume goes down significantly, because people are usually around their families celebrating and not on their pcs/phones watching charts nonstop.

Just hold and dont pay attention to the daily swings of the coin. It will only stress you out and it is irrelevant in the long term (unless you're trying to daytrade then you need to keep yourself updated)

This will be great news if they do end up accepting bitcoin in their stores. Adoption would skyrocket very quickly and many new people would be introduced to it.

Bitcoin still has plenty of years ahead as the #1 crypto in my opinion. If it will stay there forever depends largely on the question: can it scale properly and in a timely manner?

I really liked Electrum so far. Seems pretty safe and secure, and on top of that it has custom fees 

Bitcoin is freedom from the government. A ban cant be enforced because people will find a way to utilize the technology in some way.

I dont think i can hold that much! 1 million per coin is a lot of money... maybe by then we'll be able to spend it everywhere and get paid in btc too!

It certainly isn't gambling, but it is definitely heavily speculative, and i dont think anyone here denies that... We just need to make sure it stays in the right path tech-wise.

14 days seems like plenty of time for another 11% pump! We'll probably get there, but maybe not stay over 20k in the first try. Its a very big milestone

Bitcoin gives the user much more freedom economically! Thats why its always a better option than any fiat in the world right now
