is changing algo from scrypt still on the table? my vote goes to x11 like darkcoin..asic and multipool resistant, cooler video cards and lower electric bills.

Probably not... The way I see it is as the scrypt ASIC start to become more and more available CGA will become more and more valuable (due to more hash power = higher difficulty = less CGA per block). So we almost welcome ASIC because it will only help CGA become more elusive.

Any consideration to put a smaller cap on the coin?  Roll Eyes

What for? You wont see more then 16 Million in your lifetime. It will take a minimum of 50,000 years to mine all 10 Billion. I don't see an issue. Wink

Updated to 1.3.2.1 deleted everything except for wallet.dat

Works perfectly now!

SawedOff, you really did a good job fixing all the trouble the coin/wallets had.

Now let sail for a while, until this gets more momentum.

I am a loyal miner, and will stay here until the coin either dies or goes to the moon! (i prefer the latter over the former ofc. Roll Eyes)

Ugh, was solo mining, hope the coins I did get arent on the wrong fork  Sad

I hope you have been keeping up to date in the thread and irc, the older your client the more coin you will probably end up losing.  Undecided One of the causes of forks they think was a solominer on an out of date client.

My client was updated on thursday

Same here, but the latest version : 1.3.2.1 gives a runaway exception for me ?

CGA is going to be big, no miner / pool abuse. Nice stable coin!

You saw that jump to 20$ last time ?

I would be cool if someone could make an easy android app to arrange and start a poker match.
So everyone will be able to play poker everywhere with just their smartphone and empty pockets Smiley

Nice idea... final project could be pretty awesome.

Some said their GF/wives were cool, some said they would never mention it to them.

what about you? Did you tell it to her?.) (and feel free to vote)
My wife said If I bought ASIC's, she'd leave me.
I'm going to miss her....   Tongue

IS er nog een share beschikbaar?

Niet zo via de groupbuy, wel via Bitfunder

https://bitfunder.com/asset/ADDICTION

Let wel je moet via WeExchange een account aanmaken en dan via bitfunder de transactie uitvoeren

Succes,

I would keep ALL the coins that i mine, and buy stuff i need.

Thats how you support the community of BTC in 2 way's : you mine and buy with BTC

Profits will decline eventually so be wise on how you spend it.

There will be another crash if you believe the reason why most people intend to mine in the first place
So they can retire from work (hahahaha) al those calculators (except for the gen.block)
Promise amounts of money most people won't ever get close to.

This is how i would do it, wait for the NEXT big crash, wait untill it gets back up on a decent USD/BTC price again
And maybe then sell some, but i have high hopes for the long run (10 y or so) so i would still keep some.

(Btw all the investments i made, i did that with spare money i wouldnt care if i would lose, so im already happy with any income on BTC)

If that's not the most sensible post so far it's definitely top ten.

Thank you! I hope some people can benefit from it, I sure will!  Grin
How did you buy the miners? Bitcoins?

No bought them in EUR, i bought some ADDICTION (171) shares in BTC Though

I needed to start somewhere

Re: [INTEREST CHECK] [BITFUNDER] ADDICTION.TRADING Fund, feedback wanted
by
Miner538
on 05/09/2013, 07:08:01 UTC
So far, 100% of my experiences with both BitFunder and WeExchange have been negative.

I have open support tickets (one with each site) that have been open for three weeks without even a comment.  My coin is lost, and the will not even reply to my help requests.

BitFunder and WeExchange are NOT trustworthy sites.

Please, please, find a better platform.  BitFunder is simply too amateur/rinky-dink/unprofessional to trust with our money.  Thankfully, I had you set up my KNC buy to pay directly.  If you list with bitfunder, I will sadly pass.  While I would love to work with you more, I cannot trust the sites you ask me to use, so I cannot trust your future business, either. :-(

This will need more details, did you have 2-Factor switched on ?

I made an payment yesterday with bifunder and weexchange and i did not encounter problems.
I can buy or sell the shares easily if want to so for me (without details ofcourse) the story is inaccurate.

http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/624b263dcf

that is real price for first september batch buyers from eu.

glad i have sold shares Smiley

http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/6dd76c6ce6

Mine looks good. The biggest problem with your calculation is you used BTC for price of hardware. 90 BTC.
Just want to know where you got 90 from? Because in-order to have paid 90 BTC, the exchange price would've had to been at $70. It hasn't been at $70 for quite some time now so... dumb or just starting shit? Roll Eyes

Wasn't it around 70$ when he ordered?

no, 5 june 2013, 15:53
http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgoxUSD#rg180zczsg2013-06-05zeg2013-06-05ztgSzm1g10zm2g25zv
120$/btc

add VAT 23%
add shipping Smiley
add fee

So...

7000 (miner) + 1610 (vat) + 150 (shipping + 50-100 (bitcoin fees?) = 8860 / $120 = 73.8BTC

Nowhere near 90 BTC.

Yep, 70ish BTC is also the figure I'm considering from the very first minute to calculate ROI. I paid in $$, but you know, the right way to calculate the return is to see if you at least recoup the same amount of coins you could have bought with your $$ when you placed the order. The miners are still profitable, but honestly is not looking very good. If they are only a couple of weeks late, it will be hard to reach break-even.

Do not forget that all those calculators consider 100% uptime, which never happens. Calculating 90% to 95% uptime is much more reasonable, I'd recommend to insert 360GH/s as hashrate for a 400GH/s unit in order to factor possible downtime.

Sorry i messed up.
miner was ordered 8.06.2013 with price 108$

7000 (miner) + 1610 (vat) + 150 (shipping + 50-100 (bitcoin fees?) = 8860 / $120 = 73.8BTC

Nowhere near 90 BTC.

7000 (miner) + 1610 (vat) + 150 shipping + 50-100 (bitcoin fees?) + 886$ 10% group buy fee = 9746$ / $108 = 90BTC

Buying such an expensive, proffesional gear, as a consumer really sucks, because you will have to pay VAT and you won't be able to recoup it, which is a profit killer. IMO a $7k miner is not a consumer product at all, it should be bought by a registered company so you can recoup the VAT - or in case the registered company is in the EU, you won't be charged any VAT at all.

Tnank god i don't have to pay VAT xD

Some of us will be lucky and some of us wont.

The ones who actually bought the ecquipment will be in for an race in the coming months.

Groupbuyers can only hope their investments dont go gone with the wind.
