Hey Giga,

I was wondering if you'd be awesome to send me your plans for the aluminum cases you build? I am a poor college kid and cant afford one of yours right now but my dad is a woodcrafter and is willing to build me one out of scraps he has, but I am not sure on the dimenisions or anything. I didn't inherit the blueprint gene so here I am. Thanks in advance Smiley

Re: GUIMiner-scrypt: A GUIMiner fork for mining scrypt chains
by

I'm running 3 7950 cards with GUIMiner and one of my cgminers end up crashing after a certain period of time, but the other 2 cards seem to keep on hashing. Temps are 69 and under 70 with all cards. Usually remote in and see that cgminer.exe has crashed and had an error or whatnot, but when I check my workers online 2/3 of the cards are still running and its just one that isn't due to the crash. Anyone have any ideas what the problem may be? Hashes fine until the program crash happens so it seems to be a software issue.

another https/SSL site.. shouldn't this be standard procedure now to encrypt your website data? admin should really add SSL.

You can get https from any major host (such as dreamhost) -- your current webhost should offer https as a package (its usually 40-100 a year depending on if you get certified or not) and they will be able to help you. DreamHost and HostGator, BlueHost are good places to start, check them out. If your host doesn't offer it I suggest switching to a major provider that does since it's one of the options that determine a professional company or not Smiley

Edit: You're looking for SSL

Any plans to make this site secure https ? Would be more comforting to use to know information is encrypted and secure as it currently doesn't use https unlike other pools. That's the only beef I have with the site, otherwise great. Thanks!

Is there a way to automatically restart cgminer when it stops mining?
by
Minlukaz
on 10/04/2013, 09:30:55 UTC
I'm not super good with scripting files so I wouldn't even know where to begin with this.

I found something on this forum for at one point but haven't been able to locate it since. It basically follows the workflow that if cgminer stops mining, it'll stop the process, close it, reopen it, and then restart mining with a specific card (every 2 hours or so, just in case maybe?). So while it may not require Logmein access it can sort of fix itself if I don't catch it. I'm using windows and not linux if that helps, so I don't have access to watchdog.

Thanks in advance.

This is great. Thank you for your input. How about cutting the aluminum? Will a dremel work for that? Lastly, do I need any type of oil for the drill to make nice holes?

As an edit: Doesn't seem like they have this in the US.. will need to look further.

Tool junkies - I need advice working with Aluminum angles: Cutting & Drilling:)

Greetings and salutations!

* I am finally attempting to open airflow. Yay! Smiley
* I need to build the equivalent of this in order to accomplish what I am looking for:

http://i.imgur.com/JhTH0XJ.jpg
Whosever rig this is, thank you for the idea.

The tools & materials needed for this project are:

* Aluminum angles [Lowes/HomeDepot]
* Screws/nuts bolts [Lowes/HomeDepot]
* Help from this forum with advice

My situation:

* I live in a tiny apartment. A workbench and own drill press is not possible.
* I don't have access to a garage, nor do I know anyone with a drill press.
* This is short term and don't want to purchase anything huge or major. It needs to be compact.
* Different motherboards are different sizes with different card placement allotments
* I'm in the US, so preferably something I can purchase online or locally

What I need advice on:

apartmently (ah - par - men - t - lee) - small and safe that doesn't take up a lot of room for those who live in apartments. very space conservative. no access to a garage or workbench.

* How can I "apartmently" and safely cut the aluminum? As well as drilling holes?
* What tools would I need to cut and drill holes through the aluminum angles?
* Can I use a dremel tool (tiny, and portable) to get the job done? This would include cutting the aluminum, and drilling the necessary holes in it.
* I will wear safety goggles. Yes.

Looking for your input - thank you in advance Smiley

Hey there. I've been a long time bitcoiner, even a longer time lurker, and I'm finally ready to hash out of the newbie area at top speeds and to participate in the community. It's exciting to see where crypto is going, and there will be much more development than what we have right now. Our future is bright Smiley

Re: Pizza sold for 10,000 BTC in 2010...

This is a pretty touchy subject a lot of older miners don't like to talk about. I think everyone is afraid of the new pizza issue happening with higher priced items down the line, thus holding on to them for a while longer than they used to.
