Hello. I have not left posts here for a very long time, although I periodically review interesting threads. This is my small post - I decided to leave the dash project. I was an early investor, I don’t remember exactly, but that was at the turn of 2015, when I met and was inspired by the idea of dash and its potential. But everything flows and everything changes, and we see how the coin slowly goes into the sunset, going down in the ranks of the rating lower and lower. Yes, I, like you, amused myself with hopes that new breakthrough technologies, masternodes, fast payments, a decentralized budget, successes in Venezuela and so on will again raise the dash and return to the top. But now it's already the end of 2020 (yes, a very unusual and difficult year), and we have what we have. I was disappointed, I sold everything for $ 115, I had time)). And right now, when the price has rolled back down strongly to the $ 85 area again, I do not want to buy a coin for a restart, I am tired of it. Dash, thank you for everything, for many years that we were together and I virilized in you, and you generously rewarded me back then, at the magical end of 2017)). But now we are parting, unfortunately. I wish you success, everyone who still has faith in the project. While.

Dont remember you from the early days, if true I wish you well. Dash has come really far, in terms of technology, organization as a decentralized network, adoption and staying power it is doing very well. Cheers and good luck. Dash will continue on its road to fullfill its mission. Cheers.

The only reliable Dash debit card, available internationally, I know of at the moment is the Paycent.com  card. The crypto debit card niche is currently plagued with scams, so try to stay safe out there and you can try Paycent. You have to do KYC though, no trustworthy card company will work without KYC. Others may have other card options to share.

With regards to Amazon gift cards definitely Bitrefill is the best for that and many other gift cards. Using Instantsend is fantastic.

Hello,
I'm a long time stalker at this forum.

I'm looking for a reliable debit card to be used with Dash. I though of signing up with Equicex, but just saw a warning it might be a spam.

Could anybody recommend a good debit card, preferably without KYC?

Also, what would be the best service to use to get an Amazon gift card with Dash?

Thank you everybody and god bless

There is also the video from Dash News which mentions three additional card providers that got integrated recentely.

Link : https://dashnews.org/dash-news-recap-with-heidi-chakos/
(4:43)

Unfortunately card providers like Equicex and Polispay are not reliable. I do think Dash News should only publish verified card providers. Meaning the reporter should order one himself and only report if it truly works. For now I would honestly stick with Paycent until there is a clear track record on others.

Dash Releases Evolution's Foundation in Largest Upgrade Ever (Amanda B)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLInZDCIdEo

Good to see Amanda again.
Even better to see her promote Dash again.
Best of all is that her name alone still manage to rattle some trolls.

Is great to see Amanda involved publicly again, I can really relate to needing to take time and recharge batteries.  The best thing about Dash is how it was able to build a system, a real DAO, that does not depend on specific people, it lives and exists on its own. The needs of the organization are shared among many. Always Dashing. Cheers.

When Daily Decrypt ended... I was a bit bummed.   Now ABJ is taking a break from Dash Detailed,   bummed again.    Not sure if it was the content or the host but the show was well done and I looked forward to it.

Dash community is strong and was also bummed when Evan posted about leaving his post.   But that seems to have been for better things which is nice.    I guess the initial jolts are just more difficult in a decentralized org.   Life in a normal organization is tough enough with politics and so forth...   hopefully this isn't due to internal problems with the Dash team.    The whole CMO thing seems to be causing some turmoil and so forth...

Anyways.  Just letting everyone know my thoughts.  =)    Still holding my nodes and appreciate the 3 year plan that was posted,  just hope everyone finds what they are looking for and have their part of this pretty wild ride we are all on.

We may be overthinking things a little, everyone needs a break every once in a while. Our industry is really intense and the pace of development is very fast, so people need to rest. The cool thing in a decentralized environment is that there are always others that take over during those times so it never stops.

Dash is now finally live on Coinapult, is a great option for buying and selling for FIAT, specially in combination with Crypto Capital.  If you are a user and see anything that needs correction please open a support ticket with the feedback.

I created an account on Coinapult's website, and was gonna link up my existing bank account with them.  Am I missing something or is Crypto Capital the only bank that I can use with their website?

I did check the list of countries and saw that United States was one of them so that's good at least.  Does anyone have any experience with them before I take the Nestea plunge?  Grin

You need to open an account with Crypto Capital which is a money transmitter you then get a full online banking platform and send wires to/from your normal bank account. Once set up it works great.

Any Dash speaker in the Consensus conference 2017?

I was seeing the sponsors, & Dash sponsor it, but i do not seen any speaker in the list.

Zcash, Ether, Monero & Ripple people are in the event.

http://www.coindesk.com/events/consensus-2017/speakers/

https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/proposal-consensus-leadership-summit.14630/#post-124416

"This proposal is cross-posted at www.dashcentral.org/p/travel-consensus-201705

This proposal funds the attendance of most of the Dash Core Team leadership to attend Consensus 2017 (including additional tickets beyond our package), to hold our first in-person core team leadership meeting, and extends an additional day to allow part of the team to attend Token Summit, an event the day after Consensus.

More information about Token Summit can be found here: http://tokensummit.com/

In a previous proposal, the network approved a sponsorship package at Consensus 2017, including a booth and attendance at the event for Daniel Diaz and myself. As a core team, we've been discussing the value - after years of working together - of meeting in the flesh and holding a strategy session, but we've never had the money, and travel from Europe and Asia to our office in Arizona was a significantly long journey for many team members. We see an opportunity at this year's Consensus conference for nearly the entire team to finally meet, and enabling us to increase our already significant presence at arguably the most important blockchain conference of the year.

We would aim to meet for an all-day in-person strategy session on Sunday prior to Consensus, which I will take the lead to plan to ensure the time is effective. The conference ends on Wednesday, and the team would depart on Thursday except myself and perhaps one other team member to attend Token Summit.

Historically, Dash has always benefited in a significant way when we invest in industry conferences, with increased demand clearly correlated with every event in which we communicate our strategy and what makes us unique. From the LABitConf in 2015 and 2016, to Miami in 2016 and 2017, to d10e last year, we consistently benefit from a rising price and increased budgets in the weeks and months following these events. With a larger presence at Consensus, we would expect to reach a much larger audience of one-on-one conversations, and get even more benefit from the significant investment we've already made into this event
."

I just want to add that Ryan will in fact be speaking and we already have a number of scheduled meetings with industry leaders that will be coming by our booth to learn more about Dash. We expect to have a good conference this year and will also be attending Token Summit, right after as explained.

I've seen someone posting some pieces of Dash/Darkcoin art some time ago here in the thread. We're opening an office and are considering such a piece of Dash art... does anyone know who made these things and what the prices are?

Please welcome our new members, an amazing group of C++ developers joining Dash development Full Time:

https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/dashcore-team-restructure-and-recruitment.14711/
Quote
Hi there,

On behalf of the Core Team I’m pleased to announce that we have completed the recruitment into the DashCore development team and hired 6 new fulltime C++ developers who started yesterday, May 1st, raising the total full-time DashCore developers to 9.

Running in tandem to our recent team reorganization, this recruitment process took 3 months and from around 50 applicants we conducted dozens of interviews and code reviews to select the 6 applicants who matched best our requirements for fulltime contributors to DashCore.

The expanded DashCore team is responsible for updating the DashCore reference software through current milestones and through to Evolution, and is lead by UdjinM6, with Robert Weicko as Project Manager and using the Trac system for task planning maintained by Timothy Flynn.

Introducing the new team members:

· Will Wray: 20 years programming experience in C++/ASM within organizations ranging from Hewlett-Packard Labs to Morgan Stanley and Ripple. Will holds a MA from Cambridge University and did post-grad studies in Intelligent Autonomous Systems at UWE.

· Oleg Girko, 20 years programming experience in C/C++, Python, Tcl/Tk, Perl and System Administration on projects ranging from GitLab to Google to Amazon.com. Oleg holds a MSc in Applied Mathematics from St. Petersburg State University

· Karol Rychlicki, 8 years of C++ development experience in FinTech companies ranging from Bloomberg to X Trade Brokers. Karol holds a MSc in Computer Science and a post-grad from the Warsaw Schoole of Economics.

· Ilya Savinov: 12 years programming experience including C++11, STL, Qt, Buildroot, Git on projects ranging from Graphene based cryptocurrencies to embedded systems to Bitcoin.

· Sergey Gladkov: 10 years experience developing cross-platform C++ applications ranging from Acronis products to cryptocurrencies such as Boolberry.

· Ian Marshall: Lisp, C++, SQL, developer with 14 years experience ranging from AI applications to Bitcoin ride-sharing apps to programs analysis at Pratt & Whitney. Ian has extensive experience with Databases and will be working mainly in the DashDrive team lead by Nathan Marley

We have also completed recruitment and restructuring in the Evolution backend (DAPI) and frontend (Clients) teams and I will update on that separately and we’ll update the dash.org team page soon.

Now that we have expanded and restructured the development teams and know what resources are in place, we will prepare a full roadmap for coming Dash releases through to Evolution, which we plan to publish later this month (May).

Best,

Andy Freer

CTO

Dash Core Team

There is a mastercard or visa card coming soon for Dash apparently. Do you guys know if it will be only for us or all the world ?

There are already debit cards for most of the world. I like www.shakepay.co

We are really missing one for the US so that is what we are most excited about the new card.

For all of the "why is dash @ 100 $" questions:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/606fz4/my_final_margin_call/

Thats one of the dash shorters who lost 150 btc and bring us to higher prices, and im quite sure there are many more of these kind .

"All because of one position, I lost it all. Yes, I know it was stupid. Yes, I know you shouldn't short, especially in a bull market. Yes, I know that I should have cut my losses fast. From the first worrying -2 BTC to the slightly terrifying -20 BTC, watching my losses grow and grow. Everyone told me to close the position: but I told them, are you retarded? Do you want me to close out with a $2,000 loss when it's so clear DASH is going to crash? Do you want me to close with a $10,000 loss when this is clearly a bubble? Do you want me to close with a $50,000 loss when I can easily make $20,000 if I just wait this out?"

^^ Thats what i mean if i say this bull run is driven by shorters (ofc thats not the only cause, but its a big multiplier), who can't believe dash has potential, because there is so much hate against dash and so much fud, they can't believe it went to 20 $ to 30 $ ... to 100 $ ... these are the ones who are squeezed hard on that run and did a good job in making dash price x10 !

I'm realy sorry for them, and i blame iceshitter and his troll crew for destroying thousands of lifes with theire fud against dash !!!

Yep. The only people that have been "scammed" are those that listened to the haters, trolls, and DASH FUDers over the years and due to being duped lost significant money during this run up. Shame on all the trolls! I really feel for this guy.

This is heartbreaking. The overconfidence of Dash haters is really unmatched.

This is similar in the stockmarket. I watched that for 30 years. The shorts always provide the fuel to drive the final phase of a crazy rally. The majority of them close out by buying at the top , because they cannot maintain the margin. Only a few reap the benefits of the decline, which is all the greater because of the excessive prices reached. A peak driven by shorts can lead to a 90% fall.

You just don't get it, right?
This is similar to nothing else. DASH is on its own way. Nothing else. Except the part where Bitcoin weaknesses did it to all top alts.

Many people don't get it because they try to judge by their past altcoin experiences or purely on technical analysis, but Dash's economics, fundamentals and game theory incentives make it a very different animal. So as far as Dash goes, expect the unexpected.

sry i have remembered some number from few weeks ago Smiley i knewed that was about 4400+ Smiley

And you predicted price will go waay down...
I waited to buy and hoped it will go down a lot.
This is it? That's all?
So hundreds of MN sold and price still 80+? Wow.
What to do. Bought.

He just does not understand Dash you cant simply go by the Masternode server count because that is not the collateral. The sharp declines are just protocol updates  when the previous version of the software is no longer valid so the servers are not counted at that time while people update. Servers can go down for many reasons that have nothing to do with the collateral, the other day there was a DDOS attack.

Masternode count is a good long term indicator but a poor short term indicator. I guess he may be trying to scare newbies.

Also, people may choose not to run nodes for other reasons like to go lend in markets or just to hold.

Charlie Shrem's first Dash project

He was very professional and contacted the team first to ask for advice, he is going through the steps and starting with a pre-proposal discussion. After speaking with him at length about it I believe is an incredible opportunity for Dash.  Pease go ahead and read and offer feedback if you have any before he moves to the official proposal stage. Cheers.

Can some briefly explain how Dash's instant transaction work?

Does the receiver get the "same" Dash that are sent? Or does someone else give the receiver "other" Dash from "somewhere else"? Or do they get a credit awaiting confirmation?

The receiver gets the same Dash, the best analogy I have found is that an InstantSend lock is like a certified check, you still have to "cash" it on the next block, but is "locked and certified" by the network so you can act on it the moment you receive it and give the goods and services to the buyer without having to wait.

I am probably wrong here, but tbh i was drunk yesterday and set by accident a long for dash  Roll Eyes Since it is already a bit in the red zone and i am stingy i wonder if there are any new news coming out soon?

Can someone give me maybe a collection of things which can be expected to be released in the next 2 weeks. I am a bit afraid of a bubble which will burst like XMR on the other side, you never know Cheesy

I guess the next bump on the road would be the expected news / name of the major exchange which was payed for integration from our blockchain.

The name of the exchange should come out the next two weeks, however i have no clue how this will be reflected in price. (sell the news? :O)

So welcome to DASH, perhaps you wanna stay with your coins a bit longer then two weeks - and enjoy the path to evolution Smiley

There are a lot of things in the pipeline, I don't think we can reduce it to a single project. The important thing to focus on is Dash fundamentals are getting stronger and adoption is growing at an accelerated pace at the moment. It just takes some time between initial engagement and public release so many things will start coming out soon.

Bitfinex just opened margin trading for Dash. Please support it by offering Dash for lending. Go have fun!

sounds like there is no stopping anymore. if I'd be offering mine there i should be able to make more money through it. haven't got any account form them yet. are they like kraken that they don't ask IDs for tier 1? If they do asks IDs for all, i'd rather not. but good thing though.

They don't ask for IDs unless you want to deposit or withdraw FIAT.  You don't need it for pure crypto trading.
