It'll be interesting to see what kind of security measures these custodian services put into place. After all, they are likely to have a large target on their backs for threats.

Assumimg by 'verification process' you mean the often-times long, initial account set-up with platforms like coinbase and the like, you should look into the Square Cash app for your mobile phone. The purchase of btc is virtually instantaneous and all you need is a debit card. It is very easy to move your funds into another wallet from that point on...

Re: Is ItBit exchange any good ?
by

on 08/07/2018, 19:47:33 UTC
ItBit is continuously working to refine how crypto is traded and offers exchange services, over-the-counter trade, Escrow and Custody services. itBit also plans on expanding introducing new features like collateral services, where you can offer digital assets as collateral when trading other assets.

Before, you could only trade BTC but now they have added Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Stellar Lumen. Itbit is one of the biggest exchanges, and definitely worth looking into further.

Hope this helps!

Re: Why are cryptos like Ripple and Stellar sky rocketing in prices?
by
MintDiceSupport
on 08/07/2018, 19:33:15 UTC
They're both pretty similar but both have different goals. Stellar aims  more towards charity while Ripple is more about financial institutions and bank-focused and has done pretty well due to its investment in marketing. Both are working to come up with innovations and solve major problems, so their success is warranted.

We have a blog post comparing the two, so check it out Smiley

Re: Best & Safe wallet of crypto store

There are differing opinions but the two wallets mentioned above have had their share of security issues recently, not to mention 'coinbase' is not a wallet. Coinbase is an exchange platform where you can purchase/sell coins and leave them for trading purposes--but you do not have true possession of them, as you do not have possession of your private keys. The most secure wallets are hardware wallets--such as ledger nano-s or the trezor. Seeing as you are a newbie, perhaps a hardware wallet is not for you just yet. In that case, a software wallet such as electrum, coinomi or samourai are worthy options. Below we have posted links to our beginner guides on both wallets and exchanges so you can see the differences between the two and how they work together.

Re: how to start with ta?

If you want to practice without getting any real money involve than I would suggest you downloading a portfolio management app like Blockfolio. It is one of those ways where you can practice buying and selling cryptocurrencies without really messing up your capital. Although the gains/losses are not real you will still apply what you have learned. Now if your portfolio is looking good then trading for real might be the next big step for you.

To add to this, there's also a trading simulator that let's you perform many of the traditional actions found in day trading platforms without risking real assets. Here's a link: https://cryptospaniards.com/simulator/

As far as i know Apparatus wallet is not safe. This wallet is risky and it is not acceptable by the investors. But it also true no wallet can provide you 100%security.

By what investors? Hardware wallets are universally considered the best option for storing coins in terms of security. While you are correct in saying that no wallet can provide you with 100% security, you can always mitigate risk by using more than one wallet to separate your funds- for example a software wallet along with a hardware wallet.

Yes, btc is down and that is true for most of the bigger market cap coins. It's impossible to predict which of the smaller players will (possibly) breakthrough the noise but some options to look into are binance coin, stellar and omisego. Research on your own and come up with a list of contenders that you think are worthwhile. Everyone's views will differ--only your opinion matters in the end when it comes to this speculative market.

Re: Is Ledger Nano S really better than a free paper wallet?
by
MintDiceSupport
on 26/06/2018, 19:34:50 UTC
Yes, a hardware wallet will be considered safer up until we cannot trust the manufacturer anymore. A paper wallet, while also isolated from any sort of device on its own, loses the upper hand as soon as you require spending the funds since it requires importing your key onto a computer (a computer that might be compromised). A Hardware wallet on the other hand can be used even on a compromised computer without having to worry due to it having its own operating system.

Re: How can I know what is a good ICO event if I want to participate?
by

on 25/06/2018, 18:07:14 UTC
Leaders / lead developers, experience, whitepapers should be original and you have to be careful reading it.

There are found whitepapers that are being copied from other projects.

Yes, whitepapers have been plagiarized and additionally, websites have been flat out copied or are incredibly vague--so don't overlook an ICO's website. In terms of the community aspect, one sign that is usually positive is if the ICO's team is active on their telegram group. If they are openly and regularly answering questions it is usually a sign that the team is truthful and motivated.

by

on 24/06/2018, 21:59:12 UTC
It would be easier for me to see a visual of the process. (like with screen shots)

I plan to buy a ledger device soon and like most things in the blockchain world, it takes me a few tries to first understand.

 Tongue

Use this guide from Ledger's support page: https://support.ledgerwallet.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000617934-How-to-send-and-receive-cryptocurrencies-using-the-Ledger-Nano-S

In tandem with the guide provided above, use this picture guide: https://coinsutra.com/send-bitcoin-ledger-nano-s-wallet/

Using them both should help you. Cheers!

To hold your lumens you'd be better off using either the nano s (it supports just about any worthy altcoin) or the foxlet wallet.

Invest what you can. There's no need to wait for a perfect time and a fixed amount. As an example, If you invest a small amount, you can then periodically invest that same amount or more (or less) every month and slowly build your portfolio. It's a marathon not a sprint.

There are trading simulators you can use to practice implementing different strategies. They have the same features available that you would find on a 'real' trading account such as stop/limit orders, etc. You could use this service while you study the guides provided for you above.

These 2 you mentioned and exodus are reasonable options for multi-currency wallets. But if there are users who want a software wallet for just bitcoin you should definitely add Electrum and Samourai to the list.
