Re: What is btc mining?
by
Miracal
on 08/11/2015, 12:09:28 UTC
I want to know the whole proccess by which we can earn through mining.what happens in mining?

When you mine Bitcoins, you are securing the network by confirming transaction. Such process is made by an ASIC miner (look it on ebay) and depending on your hashrate (KH/s, MH/s, GH/s, TH/s), network difficulty, and electricity costs, that will determine what you will earn. For more info, i'd suggest you look into these sites: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/internet/how-mine-bitcoins-generate-money-bitcoin-mining-3515249/     http://www.coindesk.com/information/how-bitcoin-mining-works/

Hope this helps. Somebody correct this, if I'm wrong.

You've mostly gotten it right. Mining is a computational process that secures the network, with coins being minted to act as a reward for securing the network. Specialized mining devices called ASICs are the only way to mine now (aside from as an academic curiosity, for different types of coins that don't have ASICs yet, and on private testing nets), and even they have very slim profit margins (due to cost of electricity and the miners themselves).
True. Mining is actually a time-consuming process. But you can definitely start mining if you can afford to invest the time required and bear the electricity charges as securing networks does take a long time. All the best with it if you are ready for it.

Re: Minimum to start on trading
by
Miracal
on 08/11/2015, 12:06:46 UTC
For more experienced traders (or at least some experience) there. Which would be the minimum to invest in order to have a chance to profit from trading? I would like to start as low has 10k satoshis, but as I have seen, many exchanges have minimums and minimums fees and that does not feel reasonable.

Let's say that we put a goal to earn 20k satoshis a day (on average) from trading... How much would you see you have to employ to achieve that?
You like trading with alt-coin ?  Tongue
My advice you can start with higher amount like 0.01BTC or higher and your goal 0.02BTC a day. Cheesy
Because 10k satoshis is to low to start trading and it is easier to lose. Tongue
Forget satoshis, start with at least 0.01 Bitcoins. that will at least be substantial to invest and incur significant returns. Also, important thing, DO NOT invest more than you can afford to lose. Always invest as much that will not affect you when you lose it as then when you do earn it the profit limit is the sky in that case.

Re: ● Why Bitcoin is Not Mainstream Yet & my Suggestions! ●
by

I think the main problem with Bitcoin is people is too dumb the see the necessity for it, so most people will keep using fiat currencies because most people don't have a problem with it, only people whose see a real necessity to use Bitcoin (beyond buying it and holding as an investment) will actively use it. Other than that we'll need more time to see the fiat system collapse more to get Bitcoin in the starlight. And anyway people will end up using it even if they don't know they are using it so we already winning as early holders. You are basically investing in the base of the next gen infrastructure by holding BTC.
I agree. Seeing that most people are always creatures of habits and tend to abhor changes, it is easy to be scared to use altcoins and quit their life long habit for cash. But i do have hope that as with the acceptance of debit/credit cards Bitcoins will also gain momentum. Also we need an impact-making promotional strategy for raising more awareness about it.

Re: Bitcoin Technical Analysis for 11/8/2015 Stability in sight
by
Miracal
on 08/11/2015, 11:56:55 UTC
This weekend has been nothing but boring in terms of market activity. Last week was one of the most exiting weeks in the last few months, and now the sea is calm again. Is there a volcano brewing underneath ready to set the bitcoin ship to the moon or is there a tornado coming that will wreck the ship into a million pieces. In our previous bitcoin technical analysis on 11/7 we mentioned that if the price isn’t going to make any major swings in the coming days, then the market will look to settle and stabilize.

Read More: http://themerkle.com/coins/bitcoin-technical-analysis-for-1172015-stability-in-sight/
I think this week it will probably a bit of rough sea. The calm before a storm and all that. Seeing the activities of the Chinese and how they flooded the market last week we can only hope and keep the fingers crossed for a stable market at least. Let us not see a flunking now.

Re: Best way to turn 2BTC into 4BTC
by
Miracal
on 08/11/2015, 11:54:40 UTC
1'st rule of trading; sell for more than you paid + fees every time. A doubling of your money can take 6 trades in one minute or 3 months, that depends on the market being wild enough while you look at the ticker.

Trading is not hard, just take luck out of your calculations meaning don't trade on what you think will happen, BUT ON WHAT HAPPEND! Very important that last point, then you wont ever loose money on a trade.

Market trading is probably the safest way Why do you look to directly DOUBLING the Bitcoins? Take it slow and steady on the market, do your research and then buy/sell based on the recent conditions. It takes a little patience to get the knack of how it works. Best of luck to you anyway..

...Now if I could only do that on amazon or at my local deli to buy beer, eggs, bread, and milk I would close down my Citibank account and go totally bitcoin. You hear me bitcoin DEVS, make it happen.....    Grin

You can always invest in one of the several bitcoin debit cards that's available. In that way you can spend your bitcoin at your local deli. Bit-X and Xapo offers a card that is directly linked to your wallet [think there is others also] so you do not even have to 'load' the card beforehand, just swipe it and the amount comes off your wallet.

The debit card companies are already jumping on the bandwagon. VISA has come out with a Bitcoin debit card. So yes, your dream to shop at your grocery store with bitcoins could just come true. Let us hope the virtual currency does away with scams before that happens, makes it more safe and reliable.

by

definitely not this year. i can only see the price go to around $500 due to the block halving. demand currently is too low to come even close to $500. we do need to wait till after the halving.
I have high hopes for the price to come close to $500 when the halving happens in 2016. And the resolution of the XT/BIP will be a major factor towards the price rise as well. Let us hope for the best!

Not necessarily. It seems you have no idea about this, we are still above 100+ dollars of the initial price and suddenly 381 which is the current price is slow.. well give it time and it will recover, this is called a correction.
Agreed. A little fluctuation should not be a cause of much concern. the price will definitely cross $250 in the next week. Market is still active.

Re: [CHART] Bitcoin Inflation vs. Time
by
Miracal
on 08/11/2015, 11:33:34 UTC
Forgive my ignorance here, but I'm not sure I understand this graph. I'm not a math genius or economics genius, but I thought inflation was a rise in prices due to an increase in the money, which is obviously not what we see graphed here. How is inflation defined in this graph?

Inflation in this case is the increase in the supply of money (sometimes called money supply inflation).
At the point where the graph indicates 10% it means the money supply is growing at 10% annualized rate at that point in time.

It is sometimes useful for people to be specific (price inflation vs money supply inflation).  Obviously both "sides" believe their definition of inflation is the right one but it always leads to confusion and/or fights.  If everyone simply used the terms price inflation or money supply inflation it would always be clear.
True. As more people are getting attracted towards the Bitcoin market it is bound to see a money supply inflation. However, there is obviously going to be a bit of a fluctuation now and then in the price inflation of goods/services as is seen in any other market.

Yes, XT agents will come to your home and will force you to install an XT node  Roll Eyes

You are right no one is forcing us to install XT node, whatever they do let them not change the name of Bitcoin. Forum is under constant DDOS attack, Theymos should do something about it like installing a cloudfare.

i think so risky if you Holding bitcoin a long time  , may be just 3-6 Month it's good . but , if you already got cheap or profit you should sell your bitcoin , and waiting dump again .
I agree. I always follow the strategy to sell my Bitcoins when they reach a 'set' profit margin. Too much waiting can mean greed and then the decision making abilities are hampered by it. I would suggest to set a fixed 'profit margin' (within reasonable limits of course) and sell when the price touches that floor.

Sorry to hear your story bro. But the point of a BTC market is the lows and ups. What would be the fun in it if it was straight up. Better do your market research to see the depth before you jump in.

True, as with any stock market the Bitcoin market is also very dynamic and a plethora of factors can affect the price very swiftly. Always advisable to do a detailed analysis and (reasonably) extensive research about the market environment before you start trading.

Currency exchange is one of the easiest ways to get more BTCs. And i agree that most banks will give you a loan depending on your credit history for buying BTCs.

Sad. This is just another example that proves that the government is very apprehensive to lose control over actual currency. This is a Draconian law for sure. Seeing the multitude of people trading in Bitcoins isn't it more sensible to just legalize it and regulate it properly?
