Hello! Is it loud? Do you think it is worth buying? Who received awards with Antpool? UUPOOL how are you set up?

It's not worth buying. DO NOT waste your money.

BTM is going to be ten times higher in 2 months and this (and all other bitmain machines) will be profitable again.
Now - unplug your B3s if you care about this shitty amount of electricity and wait for its moment.

It wont be because GPUs will go and do it more efficiently, meaning the B3 wont be useful regardless.
The B3 will only be profitable if the GPU are alot more profitable.

Also as a note--if you 100% believe this (that Bytom will be 10x in 2 months), unplugging your machine right now makes 0 sense (unless you are instantly converting to another coin or cash).

Unplugging your machine and selling it to buy Bytom makes perfect sense.

Earning are up a bit lately, I wonder why?

Bitmain stopped mining with their B3s. It's not profitable anymore.

The Antminer B3 situation appears different from other ASICs which have declining ROIs. I recall the B3 was advertised to be an ASIC for mining Tensority (BYTOM), and the algo was to be mined with Bitmain B3 hardware and firmware with options of benefiting from AI mining/processing opportunities.

However, it would seem that the ‘ASIC’ chips in the B3 are not efficient on the Tensority algo, and Tensority can be mined on non-B3 machines.

The Antminer S9, L3 etc are very efficient on the algo they were designed to mine and that is why buyers purchase these ASICS. Buyers can assess declining returns depending on units shipped and the efficiency of the miner.

The B3 is not even efficient at mining Tensority. It is not fit for purpose. It appears to be a box stuffed with non-specific ASIC chips to clear inventory, and not a true ASIC.

Therefore, proper disclosures were not made to purchasers of the B3  and a reasonable calculation of risk could not be made.

Exactly my thoughts and the fact that it costs ~$1900 after discount.

nice info ..hope someone still gonna update the daily revenue...and other technical related info
I'm gonna keep an eye of this thread.
I also interested in first batch of z9mini.
Hope some of you got that first batch and write this kind of review in June
so much for the guess that Bitmain only sold 2500 to each market.

http://miningpoolstats.stream/bytom

looks more like 5000 to each market (there are already 11225 machines online and rising), plus they might be running a third batch. this explains why earnings was already down to 40-42 yesterday.

It wasn't a guess. Most Bitmains customer service representatives confirmed that a total of 2500 units are sold in batch 1.

I have never been informed those kind of number from bitmain CS. I always asked that question to cs : how many is this product sold/purchased ..? They always repply with : sorry we dont have that kind of info ..I asked about B3, Z9 mini..etc
I guess I have never meet your CS, some CS must be more informed than other.

I have a Z9 mini on the way, however might not even set it up (depending on how early I get it)

I'm a little sketched out by all the forks coming, and don't want to be stuck mining KMD (the only Equihash that has explicitly stated it will NOT fork)  Undecided

In addition, when I bought the first batch, there was a limit of 1 per customer. The second batch has a limit of 50 per customer. Pump & Dump before the forks? Either way, with all those Z9's on the market and in a worst case scenario, all of the mining Komodo, I see a break even point very, very far down the line.

Also concerned about BTM price TANKING the past few days....  Huh Huh

Hi there fala2n..I have seen some z9 arrived on zcash forum..how is yours ?

anyone care to share btm revenue since last week ..25 may till now..

thanks

I've been getting around 12.5 BTM per day since May 25.

Got a total of 92.20603606 BTM since then.

Profit drop to around 220 a month here? Wat happened? I thought they stop selling? 7-8 months to break even?

It's 405 BTM a month at Antpool. GPU miners are joining in I guess. They will mine BTM as long as it's profitable.

I don't understand, we done upgrade with new firmware.First day was ok few coins more, now it dropping down to previous earnings, why ? If B3 mining with more has it should be more coins ? From the other site if everyone mining with more power, difficulties will go up and we and up maining still the same amount of coins, is that correct ?

Uupool
19.05 - 14 BTM
20.05 - 17 BTM after upgrade
21.05 - 15 BTM

Network difficulty going up. GPU miners are joining us.

Hi,
in my account of antpool, it appears as paid some transactions but in the official wallet Bytom nothing appears, does the same thing happen to someone?

Wait for the wallet to fully sync

When you open your wallet and look at the bottom left, you need to have at least 1 peer and your wallet says fully synced

at first they were paying 1 or 2 more per day --- but since ant pool has been paying and the upgrade ---- things seems to have changed .....    try both and then see how u feel ---

or once i have the firmware working I will let you know how many per 24 hours !

then we can judge from each other which is working better ?>

any advice or help for a down miner who is spending too much time on this firmware update ??

nothing but error right away pretty much -- using files from bitmain -
tried on google chrome after safari did not work ?

not sure what else in could be ?

its a tar file and a MAC ... should it be a TAR.GZ ?           or am I maybe missing something --

ive had nothing but good luck with all other miners and firmware - but this one is giving errors ?

thx for any help

bless

error starts like this  Huh

Yes I agree but i bet many customers are building massive farms from this going from the GPU history of farmers. It would still hurt their rep. If I'm given a choice between bitmain and a new competitor (And there will be believe me) then I'm going to try another. I'm sick of their new policy of bleeding us and the pools dry.

Actually if a new competitor appears, the hardware war will be bigger and bitmain will likely win. I suspected the war was coming when the halong dragonmint turn out to be real. I did not expect it to affect L3+ though. It looks like bitmain wants to take halong, who is probably innosilicon down...and it is gonna take away alot of profits from everyone to do that. This halong is a major idiot. They will probably lose money from the dragonmint T1/T2. They cant compete at all. Chances are that their sales are not gonna cover their cost of producing the dragon T1. And when the war started, I suddenly see the D3 for sale again, for very cheap, among other miners. Innosilicon will make a lot less now. My gut feeling tells me the dragonmint T1 sparked this war.

Honestly I don't think anyone can compete with Bitmain. Halong and Innosilicon miner prices are ridiculous in this bearish market while Bitmain are lowering prices every month. When you have a business there are things that attract customers. Two of which are price and customer service and Bitmain got both.

Innosilicon and halong have the new Samsung asic chips which are the best at the moment. Thats one reason they charge so much. Bitmain is overdue for their new tech to hit the market.   They just seem to be tweaking and overclocking old miners and calling them a new variant. Im sure a lot of people are kicking themselves that they dismissed halong as a scam in the beginning, i sure am.

The dragon T1 works efficiently at around 14th and is only 10% more efficient than an S9 but it costs alot more at around 1500. For 1500, u can get 2 S9 and some money back lol (use coupons).

2 S9s give around 80-90% more hashrate than a dragon T1.
The only time the T1 will be more profitable than 2 S9s is if one T1 makes $20 a month due to being more efficient and each S9 makes say $5 a month. This can only occur if difficulty rises that crazy high. If such a case occurs, u will never ever break even anyways lol.

T1 @ 14th and 10 cents electric = 114 usd profit
2 S9 @ 28 TH and 10 cents = 205 usd profit

The T1 maxes itself out at 10nm while the S9 is at 16nm and can be improved to 10nm, but I hope an S11 never appears lol. Dragon went into an oversupplied market against a competitor that has superior pricing power. Their cost of entry is probably high. Their entry cost being high is a guess from the post they make on the site back then by saying over 30million has been spent to bring the product to the market. I suspect 30m is alot considering canaans FY2017 profit is only 56m and 2017 is a record year for bitcoin.

Just my 2 cents

Well said. People are not going to pay 2x the price for a 10-20% increase in efficiency. T1 is not a competitor with it's Samsung chip, not yet at least.

you broke the script dude... it was good but now all it does is download and set permision not set the voltage

this happend when i want to chance voltages

Code:
root@antMiner:~# ./AD3_MOD_FNT.sh 1 b9
change dir to /config
start downloading file...
% Total    % Received % Xferd  Average Speed   Time    Time     Time  Current
Dload  Upload   Total   Spent    Left  Speed
100 13668  100 13668    0     0  14972      0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 19525
Download done, setting permission
Start programm...
Reading all voltages
chain 1: voltage = 0x74
chain 2: voltage = 0x74
chain 3: voltage = 0x74

it always do that...

Hi!

Please be aware, that the .sh is the script for download, etc...
and it does what it should so far.

If you have done this (used the .sh script) please use/type
cd /config
and then
./AD3_MOD_FNT 1 b9

without the .SH

Bye, FNT

Thanks for the reply FNT. Any recommendations for voltage settings on the A3 at 600 frequency?

FYI - Finally received several payments of BTM from Antpool today.  Looks like they finally have things working Smiley

What is your 'best guess' on what you are getting a day via USD...kinda sorta? Also, do you have the 1st batch or the 2nd batch or whatever?

curious...I did not go to this parade....but wish you luck...just curious Smiley

I await the details from the bleachers as I watch this thread Smiley

I got $14.4 (20BTM) per miner yesterday and I should get $12.6 (17 BTM) today. I got two miners one from each batch.

Earned 40.00776348 BTM with two miners. Calculator says that I will earn 17.54435772 BTM per miner today.

Does the shared firmware increase the HS only in the Antminer pool or in all pools? You guys did the update? Or left the default firmware.. I read that someone had problems.. Today Antpool has paid one of 5 payments in pending, slowly slowly maybe they arrive..

You are lucky ,for me don't have payement .what wallet you use ErC20 or bytom wallet ,some people on this tread have received payement with bytom wallet .

I talked to their support today. They don't accept ERC20 addresses anymore. I suggest creating a Bytom wallet address and using it right away.

It should increase the hash rate on all pools. A lot of people did the update. It increases the hash rate by ~30% which translates to a 30% increase in daily profit. The guy who had a problem turned off his miner while it was updating. I also received one of 4 pending payments from Antpool.

I downloaded V1.01 of bytom wallet early May and have had BTM sent to this wallet from antpool but it is in status paying. I can't find my wallet address on the explorer. What will happen to these coins? Are V1.01  addresses invalid?

I’m in the same situation as you using 1.02 with an account created using 1.0 on the MainNet.
My TX status has been in “paying”, for the full balance since I’ve started mining, and my wallet does not appear on the explorer. Wallet starts with bm1 just like all of the wallets associated with transactions on the explorer. The only thing I can hope, is that the “address” won’t appear on the blockchain, and thus the explorer, until a transaction has actually been created.

I got what I think is my BTM account PubKey from the “accounts” tab, after pressing “View detail” and scrolling down to “Addresses”. I used the address corresponding to the label “0”.

I think we all did the same.
If this doesn’t end up being the actual process to create a valid address, and all of this BTM ends up being sent into oblivion, that would be the end of Bytom. As I’m sure hundreds of users have done exactly the same as us.

I think its more likely that Bitmain just hasn’t sent a single MainNet payment yet.

I received my first payment from Antpool today. They support BTM wallet address only (starts with BM) according to their support. I can see the payment in my wallet but I can't see my address on the blockchain which makes me think that Bytomscan.io is not working properly.

Will probably help reduce the heat too because these things run hot. I will gladly try it once I see the source code.
