Just reading the trollbox. There is a lot of praising Monero right now but also some more critical views. Despite the number of Monero holders right now have increased I think there is still room to grow since not everybody adores XMR yet. When the troll box have multiple orgasms in a row I would be more careful in buying more Moneros.
The trollbox is more like "whats up with XMR" and "what is the XMR news" right now.
Lol chill out mate, I actually divested a bunch of my BTC into Monero when it first hit 0.0035, I own nearly a thousand. I was just after some info cos I didn't sell when it hit the 0.004s (last year?) after being convinced by its features and deciding to hold even though I could have sold and made profit.
You gave me some good info anyway, even if it was in a passive aggressive way...
It was meant as humor, not as passive agressive. Its hard to get the right tone across in internet forums sometimes, I apologize.
Is there any particular reason that XMR is rallying so much vs. BTC right now (I'm out of the loop)?
Nope keep ignoring it until it hits a new ATH. Just keep ignoring it. Pay no attention to whats happened and dont listen to/read the monero missives.
Definitely dont go to https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/about/traffic/ and see how much the monero community has been growing, based on reddit traffic numbers. Dont go to the github and check how many commits there have been related to the GUI recently, and dont go read the whitepapers about RingCT, and the updates on its development.
Dont go look at the hash rate statistics and see that Monero difficulty hit a new all time high a couple days ago. And dont go looking at the Node counts and realize that high uptime nodes hit a new all time high a couple weeks ago.
Leave all the monero for us, thanks.
dude stop pumping, monero's not like that
Yeah youre right. Nothing ever happens in monero ever. Any price rise is a pump.
You should all go full margin short.
(Edit: No, you really shouldnt go full margin short. No one claim that I told you to do that, lol!)

Bitcoin loans are now very affordable and as ETH bubble seems to be bursting there are plenty of bitcoins available now for margin long positions. If you believe the price will rise faster than you need to pay interest, you might want to take a small long position...?
Indeed, this is the best way to wreck yourself completely, and lose all your monero, so that later when it finally does go up you can feel really terrible.

Re: Predict the name of first Waves Clone to appear
Its kept low because these days the marketcap of a coin is inversely proportional to the worthiness X time alive X real chance of obliterating Bitcoin.
Well said. Literally the worse something is, the more it goes up. Have you seen hyperstake today? 750% yearly inflation, lol! Therefore it pumps like crazy.
I've started shoving small amounts of money into the absolute WORST coins I can find on poloniex. Since then they're all up, and Monero is down. Every time one rockets up I sell it and buy more monero, but then I wonder why I am doing that, because Monero only goes down, while these shitcoins easily get pumped hundreds of percent.
A good meme of a guy who just realized he is getting rich with Moneros would be nice, I tried to find one but did not find anything suitable. Anyhow, holding a bag of Moneros and basically doing nothing is ironically the best way to become rich. Too much Trading just makes you lose your coins to the pockets of whales.
2. Thus we might as well as accept that manipulation is really just trading. When speculators play, they must understand the rules. And that is there are no rules preventing manipulation. Thus to be competitive, manipulation is part of the game.
Considering that out of 22 Monero markets , 17 of those Markets are on Poloniex.
I would speculate that Poloniex itself is manipulating Monero to their Trading Advantage. Especially considering the average transactions per block on Monero is not usually over 4. I expect to see a much higher transactions count for a coin truly trading $ 174,571 of volume per day.
Trades on exchanges do not result in coins moving on the blockchain. The exchange just credits a different account with the IOU for that coin.

My speculation is that Monero will continue to be very boring and do nothing at all on low volume for at least several more days. Its epic how boring it is right now.
