I don't think it's too bad of a time to go long, especially if you want to go really long. I think anything under 1k is a good deal

$400 was not the top, it will go about $500. It really just has to at this point with the halving coming up. (if not it will be worth pennies)

I doubt wel see 10k until atleast 2020, if not later. Just too high of a number seeing as it has not even reached half of that

As with any new technology, the first of its kind will always lose out to a more improved technology down the road. It has the advantage of first mover status and market share yes, but other coins have the advantage of learning from BTC's mistakes.

At that point I'd like to use it as a decent chunk of my retirement ha. If I can get to my goal of 10 coins and build alot of weath outside of BTC I think I can alteast downgrade to a part time job

If one guy making a negative comment drops the price that much maybe we should be concerned about the longivity of bitcoin.

However, IMO its not so much what he said as just a shift in opinion that the devs can't agree on anything

You have to hope that

1) the price of BTC goes up to compensate the halving
2) Technology increases at a rate that can help ease the costs of mining

Nope Bitcoin never will be. 95% of this being based on my idea that we will never ever see a world wide money system.

I think it could be a viable part of it however.
