There is no discussion if everyone answers all the questions with no comments: "Posting on Bitcointalk OR just lurking and surfing?" Reading and learning is much better, especially for newbies. Finding worthwhile content can be a big challenge, many really old threads are great for that.

Re: Do you know the Bitcoin Ecosystem now supports advanced smart contracts?

The Bitcoin network does not support advanced smart contracts, or more advanced than it already has. Separate networks do support them, but they do not use bitcoin as currency. Sidechains, specifically, such as Stacks or Rootstock, while they do make use of the Proof-of-Work being done on the Layer 1, they mint their own tokens, which should be viewed more as altcoins than Bitcoin, IMO.

I looked at brief descriptions of quite a few L2 projects. Isn't there at least one or more which do not use new tokens, they are a "true layer on top" which helps give Bitcoin more powerful smart contracts? ....and all the transactions are securely settled in BTC. Yes, I did see at least one of those, I think.

source = quoting someone here==https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5504749.msg64549935#msg64549935

BTC transactions can now be securely integrated with advanced smart contracts! There are a bunch of recent L2 projects (Layer 2) which provide genuine Bitcoins with much more usefulness and functionality than before. While Telegram is "pay-to-tap" the real developers have been busy!

Do you know the Bitcoin Ecosystem now supports advanced smart contracts? Are you aware L2 projects (Layer 2) do not "damage or threaten" actual Bitcoins? They are adding powerful extra features in a layer on top of the actual Bitcoin blockchain.

Question: Are you aware of and/or using any of these new projects yet?

There is a hype going on among crypto bounty hunters with Telegram right now without any doubts, so if you can enjoy this momentum don't hesitate in taking part in offers being offered there. I'm not engaged into Telegram campaigns, but if it's similar to what bounty campaigns were in this forum years ago, it's definitely possible to make some extra bucks to start your crypto investments from zero. I wouldn't underestimate the potential, because that is more or less how I started my crypto journey, and although it could have been better, I can't complain at all.

I don't regret pursuing micro earnings when I was introduced to Bitcoin. It was actually a very important moment of my life I remember full of satisfaction and nostalgia. For the newbies of nowadays, Telegram campaigns may be the entering portal. Enjoy it while the hype is lasting! And make sure to convert your earnings into worthy cryptocurrencies, instead of holding the cheap ones they pay you, which are probably going to devalue along the time.

I love this take.

Reminds me of myself exploring DAO's and participating in those communities experimenting with governance and tokenizing real world assets.

I really wish BTC supported smart contracts. Projects like these are fun, inspiring, and genuinely helpful and impactful for small communities of hard working Americans. https://peachtycoon.com/

Telegram is not a good source of bounty hunting most of their airdrops out there are fake I can't even imagine I joined to some of them end up receiving nothing like from pixelverse.
They are abusing people on telegram they thought that other tap games would be the same as notcoin but its not most of the projects out there are for me, useless look at Hamster Kombat no TGE and then forcing people to watch a video and install a game with a bunch of ads they keep changing the eligibility criteria and keep squeezing to get more benefits from people they gather from telegram and social media accounts.

Isn't that obvious that it's hard to find a legit bounty to hunt in Telegram? You might be wasting your time and they don't care about their users the only thing that they care about is the profit from ads and telegram is not a good source of bounties.

Nice to hear reasons against the idea since I'm currently interested in what is happening with the TON ecosystem. I agree tap games do not add much value and should be a passing fad. Telegram itself is experiencing a huge boom and the level of crazy over their is interesting - people are nuts!

I didn't realize just how bad Kamala was until I saw this stuff. I guess, if you are going to be bad, and if you don't stand a chance of winning... go all the way.....

...
Mike Shedlock (via Mishtalk.com) dives deeper... Kamala Harris is off and running with a mind meld of the most progressive policies of Biden, AOC, and California governor Gavin Newsom.
...

Cool

Her approach is highly unusual, since it is much more normal to appeal to the center and undecided voters as the general election gets closer. To swing radically off-center doesn't make sense, is this lady even dumber and less qualified than Sarah Palin was?

Re: will Ethereum catch up to Bitcoin?

⭐ Merited by AlphaBoy (1)
In terms of supply, Ethereum has unlimited supply.
In terms of security, Ethereum has inferior security compared to Bitcoin.
In terms of popularity, Bitcoin is known more than Ethereum.
In terms of price stability, Bitcoin is more stable, and Ethereum gained and lost almost 42% of its value in 3 months.

You shouldn't believe anyone who claims any crypto coin will surpass Bitcoin or even catch up to it in any field, whether it's an altcoin, meme coin, or shitcoin. The only coin that has surpassed Bitcoin is Monero, and only in security.

So no, I don't think Ethereum will ever catch up to Bitcoin.

AlphaBoy nailed it perfectly in terms of the way things should be. ETH is still used to launch a universe of projects, some good and many crap, which Bitcoin cannot do. Fortunately, the really high average ETH network fees allows competitors a chance to eventually take over the number two spot.

Fusio open source API management platform
by
Mongodb Tablespace
on 15/07/2020, 23:26:29 UTC
(Just found this today)
Open Source API Management
Fusio is an open source API management platform which helps to build and manage REST APIs. Fusio provides all tools to quickly build an API from different data sources yet it is possible to create complete customized responses....

Fusio provides a deploy mechanism where you only have to describe the capabilities of each API endpoint in simple yaml files. Through this you can save your Fusio configuration at any VCS and you are able to deploy your API on any system. All other aspects of the API lifecycle are managed by Fusio, so you can concentrate on building the actual business logic of your API.
https://www.fusio-project.org

For some reason, I've never found API's to be nearly as intuitive as many other subjects. How about you, do you like working with/ developing API's?

But what is this number good for?

It is good for the exchange who gets free advertising until someone, someday finds the answer, if there is one. By then, they will probably have profited more than 2 BTC by building their customer base.

Sounds like something highly centralized. What is the plan and who writes it?

We've taken care of everything, the words you hear, the songs you sing
The pictures that give pleasure to your eyes
It's one for all and all for one, we work together, common sons
Never need to wonder how or why
