waoh okcash seems doing real good there

Months ago the ATL is around 1k satoshi and now its around 16K Satoshi
This is some real deal here

Good luck!
I guess price increase will not stop at 16k since there are more updates to come for this coin like the upcoming re-branding and a minor wallet update. They have to many good updates in line this month. There are rumors that this will be listed in Poloniex but that is still yet to be confirmd as Poloniex dont advise what coins will be added to their list in advance.

Bull Shit!

Why now many credit card-based projects?
I have not seen any successful projects so far
Such as TokenCard, Exscudo and now MONACO, I am very pessimistic with this kind of project

Do you remember this Smiley

The real news is the PLASMA protocol that OMG will be built on.

I think the point I'm making is code has been written.  OMG is experimenting with it now.  It almost seems that the white paper by published by Vitalik and Joseph was more of a 'heads up' as opposed to seeking feedback from the community.

OMG Specifically mentioned here.

We needed a minimum of 300K USD for this project to be viable.

We have now raised beyond 300K, and we'll announce how much in our next newsletter. No spoilers... ;-)

We want to raise a maximum of 7M USD, as we don't want to be overvalued, and are aiming for realistic growth.

I'm not sure why there's not a running total to make things transparent?  I guess that's your choice.  Good luck with the raise.

I'm a bit confused,
How much are you looking to raise? in USD
How much have you raised so far? in USD
Thanks

Re: Litecoin SegWit will be activated in less than 11 days

The Direct Coinbase LTC/US$ wallet is all the US / Europe merchants care about,  after it is setup BTC will have zero advantage over LTC in the merchants eyes. Cheaper fees and faster transactions with no capacity problems.

I don't disagree that the addition to coinbase is going to be benificial with the expanding growth of LTC merchant use. Other payment methods supporting litecoin such as Gocoin, Coinpayments, Alphacoins and Coinify provide some merchant support; but, definitely the exposure with Coinbase helps.

Merchants that utilize payment methods with companies like coinbase generally have no knowledge of faster transaction times or capacity of a cryptocurrancy.
Why would they? These merchants receive their payments in their local currency, the payment processor receives the coins not the merchant.

If the payment processor provides a better conversion rate with LTC, because of the lower fees the customer may notice and choose LTC over BTC.

Good at least we can agree on that.

Did we not say the same thing :
I said: after it is setup BTC will have zero advantage over LTC in the merchants eyes.

You Said:

Why would they? These merchants receive their payments in their local currency, the payment processor receives the coins not the merchant.

The People Sending Crypto to buy or pay for stuff are the ones that will prefer LTC over BTC ,
and these people will become aware of the advantages of LTC over BTC in time.
BTC price is already so high many would rather hold it and sell it , than use it as a payment system.
BTC Priced itself out of the micro-payment markets and it is now pricing itself out as a payment system altogether for the poor & middle class.
Only the rich will use it, which is why they are pushing LN for the Poor to use it.
The Rich use the Onchain non-counterfeit-able system while the poor are left using LN Offchain Counterfeit-able fractional reserve system,
really no difference from the current banking setup.  Tongue

Welcome to financial slavery 2.0 the Lightening addition.
Satoshi is rolling over in his grave, the Banking Cartels will have destroyed everything he set out to do.

 Cool

"The Rich use the Onchain non-counterfeit-able system while the poor are left using LN Offchain Counterfeit-able fractional reserve system"

So what!  As long as 98% of LTC LN transactions allows people to purchase goods and services, it matters not a fig if it has a remote chance of being counterfeitable.  Comparing it to the current fractional reserve system is extreme to put it mildly.

it is getting too hard to follow what is going on with Litecoin's SegWit activation these days, i imagine Charlie Lee running around door to door, talking to everyone and convincing them about SegWit. Smiley

anyways i changed the title to TBD (to be determined) since it has been well below 75% for some time and we don't know when that is going to change.

the good news is that price doesn't care about it apparently Cheesy

Market never did care about deadwit.

It is the direct LTC to FIAT Wallet on Coinbase , that is what matters and when it activates.   Cheesy

 Cool

Then please explain why litecoin is going up? Of course it has something to do with segwit. Why do you keep telling it is not? Are you trying to make us believe that it is not or are you in denial?

If you bothered to look at the Markets,
you would see the US & Europe are the ones Pushing up the Price and LTC is running a few dollars cheaper on EVERY Chinese YUAN pairing.
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/litecoin/#markets

The Direct Coinbase LTC/US$ wallet is all the US / Europe merchants care about,  after it is setup BTC will have zero advantage over LTC in the merchants eyes.
Cheaper fees and faster transactions with no capacity problems.  No one but the BTC Core Trolls give a shit about segwit, because it will not improve LTC at all,
they don't need crappy Offchain Counterfeit Transactions , when they have plenty of Actual Onchain Verifiable Transactions Capacity available.

Look at GDAX it has one of the highest prices for LTC     GDAX   LTC/USD    $8,969,610    $15.42
Because the rich guys are buying it up , in preparation for the direct coinbase LTC wallet.

Segwit is completely irrelevant and a non issue, shrills push it matters because they want to trick BTC into activating it.
Make up your own mind , from observations of the markets, not unsupported shrills.  Tongue

 Cool

FYI:

Charlie Lee @SatoshiLite Apr 20
Which do you think will happen first?
63%  LTC on Coinbase
37%  LTC locks in segwit

Segwit is more about initiating Lightening and a slew of other new things in the pipeline (It's less about the block size imo)

Oh yeah, and it'll wipe out the ASICBOOST advantage.

75% is correct as the overall target to lock in segwit.  It's at about 72%.  The signalling for the last blocks need to maintain 81% or better to achieve 75%.

ANything under 80% and Jihan wins

If the miners stay above 81% (currently 89%) for the next 26 hrs then it's all green lights.

I expect Jihan to come in and smash it though!

The price may go up because of it. I personally hope that the coin goes down in value so I could purchase a bunch of it.
The price will go up without  a doubt when Litecoin activates segwit, it will be a bubble but I have no doubt that the price will be higher than it was before segwit, this will be a great testing ground for segwit and if it works maybe we will see an increased interest for segwit coming from bitcoin miners.

Absolutely no doubt the price will go because of it.

I can confirm new binaries appear to have stabilized the chain.  Wallet is working very nicely as well.  Thumbs up to the Factom devs.

I've had the new chain working for approx 36 hours without a glitch and shifting coins around addresses created with different seeds.  It all looks very good.

There are a number of companies POC in sandboxes at the moment, so this should mean some of them can move to the live chain.  This should mean M2 is up and running provided the syncing of the chain holds.

Re: [LOGO Contest] Logo and/or web design for Factom related site
by
MontyK
on 15/01/2017, 07:48:51 UTC
Hey

I just made this site and I would like make it more beautiful (or less ugly): Free proof of existence deposit in Factom
I need absolutely:
- 1 logo and 1 icon

and optionnaly:
- 1 illustration for main page inspired by what the site has to offer.
- a webdesign rework.

I want to give away all my hot wallet for this work: 38 mBTC that's not much I know but the project isn't commercial.

Feel free to propose escrow service if you feel it's needed.

You have until January,6 12:00 UTC to submit the logo sample.
I will take into account what additionnal work you can offer for the website.

Thanks for this awesome site.

I tried it out and have saved everything, but I'm struggling see it on factom explorer the link that comes with the hash etc just clicks to 404 error page.  Can you advise how I confirm the hash of my text?
Cheers

How does the coin inflation algorythm of Factoids look like?

Try this tool https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1K3OAfBupe3UbcqMX_DMiW0J1txKcvjaCxvRzrtcaQ_A/edit#gid=1905199075

enter variables in the YELLOW boxes only.  It shows the variables of FCT, EC (entry credits) and price.  This tool is for when M3 comes into effect .  That means 74,000 new FCT will be created per month.  Until then they are being burned and not replaced.

Conservatively, its easily possible for 1 billion (1,000,000,000) Entry Credits to be used every month. To maintain supply, that means the price of FCT would have to be around $13.50.  At 1 billion usage **per day** which is actually conceivable and not just BS. The price would need to be $400 per FCT just to maintain equilibrium.

There are other exciting projects on the drawing board for sure, but this one is up and running right now, its value is yet to be truly discovered.  It's like 'google' was before it became ubiquitous.

The tool is an approximation only, there are some subtleties not taken into consideration.  Like EC supply v EC burned

Ok so my question is if an entry credit is 0.05 cents, why are Factoids over $3 dollars? How does this make sense if they get swapped 1 for 1 and burned? They need to have parity....minus some demand ofc. Thats the point we make here, Factom is already way passed overvalued for the time being. Also we see clear insider trading with the pump days before M2 news. Now it will be a sell the news with sustained volume to those thinking paying $3 dollars for something currently worth $0.05 cents is a smart move short term, we will likely drop a bit lower than before then start creeping up as contracts are made and entry credit prices actually go up.

The fact that you even asked that question shows what a dork head you are.  You absolutely have no clue what this coin is about.  I suggest you go and do some research and clue yourself up.  Jesus...I can't believe how much of a fuckwit you really are.
