Where are people getting their BTG addresses that I see on the pools?

There are only two ways to GEN your own 'G' adddress for BTG.

1.) Fall back to an old rev on github.com/btcgpu, about two weeks ago they put some code in src/bitcoind.cpp that does an abort if your not running '-testnet'

2.) 2nd way is to use the current code as it is on github.com, clone&pull the code, and go into the source and comment out the two lines that call for the exit().

Once  U have 1or2 above done, then run the daemon without the -tesnet, then go use 'bgold-cli getnewaddress' and you will get a 'G' Address, make sure to DUMP the priv-key and print  all, cuz god only knows what these idiots will do in the future, these people don't know C++, they haven't a clue what they're doing, this is going to become the worst ICO/BITCOIN/FORK-FUCK in history of BTC.

The default way 'THEY' want U to do it is run daemon with -testnet, which will generate a 'mn....' address, that is fine, but the pool.gold only 'pays out to G', get it?? Only insiders who have G get paid, U got to love these people.

Once the bitch goes live the idiots will be mining to these non 'G' addresses an of course all the share/blocks found will go to the pool ( insiders ).

No real point of running the code and feeding it seed's the code is hopelessly fucked up,

Chinese ASIC guy, had a blind one handed 'programmer' ( former hw guy ) name 'hx', then they brought in the BULGARIAN team, ran by PROF-Starbuck.

All these guys take good advice on github.com, and delete it, so U just know they're like the ostriche,

Here's the good news, for past two weeks IDIOTS are mining to the pool.gold ( all owned by same BULGARIAN MOB ), 1000K  sols/sec per day of hash, at current ZEN-CASH, that be $1,000 USD/day of real pool hash redirected to however they want to make money. The only pool that works is pool.gold, but "WORKS" means redirecting hash, all the other pools aren't running cuz there is no software that works! Well except for the code pool.gold runs,  Lot's of scammers involved in this bitch, dozens if not 100's.

Stealing BTC seems to be the common, wrap your head around that!

Can we use the old bitcoin address?

What is the need for 'replay protection' if it is gonna use another protocol? I don't get it?

Anyone want to explain what I'm missing?

On a side note: We are gonna see a crap load of forks of BTC imho, why make an ALT from scratch, when you can call it a bitcoin fork for more crypto street cred?

The new way to flood the market with spam/scam/alt coins

I have asked that one several times. No answer.

Something not right here. I wouldn't trust this at all.

I think the Core team wants the BTG team to have that. So they will have that.

Re: Dream investment

My own description of dream investment is that if it will have a high passive income that is enough to sustain my needs, wants and add up to savings. Which means that I no longer need to work because my investment provides everything. Financial stability is sustained through this and it will be a dream because it is where I can just relax and enjoy life with my family while still earning. And also the security for my family is there.

It is better to buy the coin directly. Mining has too long ROI.

Ethereum has a great potential of growing and we can also see that a lot of new projects are being traded in pair only with ETH and not with btc. But bitcoin, don`t stay on one place and they are also improving themselves. We can not tell exactly how things are going to be, but it hink in future both of this currency have the potential of growing.

I agree with that. ETH has very good development recently.

well we cannot say that ethereum is the future of cryto and bitoins are not , ethereum and many alt coins were formed after the success of bitcoins , wehen bitcoins ose to $2000 , bitcoins now give a big amount of advantages . It has a bi community behind it that is supporting bitcoins , the number of users are also increasing day by day , this helps bitcoins to become more powerful .
but yes no one knows what is in future , ethereum has potential to come up but for them overpowering bitcoins would be like impossible .

The number of users of the bitcoin is not increasing as fast as it should be. The tranaction fee should be reduced further to attract more users.

Don’t be panic. Calm down. That was only a matter of time, that the Chinese are going to regulate the market. They want to get a piece of the cake, they want to get more tax. There will be an agree between the government and all the ico's in the future.
Altcoins will do further down because of all the panic sell. So time to buy in the future with low prices.

yes there is no need to panic soo much.China will definately lift the ban.Is not over for ICO's in China.
Neo will rise up.

In the future, only high quality ICO will be allowed there. So it is positive eventually for the cryptocurrency as a whole.

Two stupid threads alone today from trollypop. Why the mods allow newcomers to start threads or even bypass newb jail is beyond me. Market has changed so the troll is irrelevant at this point.

I pity the poor sod. Wasted a year of his life slagging off something he secretly loves yet failed to get close to the bottom Wink

Well maybe someone is paying him just to troll around here in the forum.
Spreading fuds that he thinks he can annoy someone. Grin How pitiful he is.
Well goodluck to you brother.
Happy trolling!

I'm a fan of eth but my faith is always in bitcoin.
Eth as top in altcoin but bitcoin is her mother. I think no altcoin can be compare rather surpass bitcoin.
Even now there's so many issues about bitcoin but sooner it will be resolve.

I'm a fan of eth but my faith is always in bitcoin. However, I think the Bitcoin Cash could be even better.

Keep it your bitcoin just wait hold and your other coins, because bitcoin now is start to rise and maybe next mount bitcoin is stable and continues to
high. we all now that bitcoin is like a balloon some time's Hi and Low, but the true bitcoins is upwards
I think you're right. No need to say the scattered news, it might just make you panic and sell all the coins you have and finally regret. Like yesterday, I'm sure many people are selling bitcoins that they have, and now prices are back to normal.

People who got panic and have sold their coins in past few days will be regretting at a moment as price has again started to go up now and in coming days we may see price getting closer to $3k so its always good to hold your coins and not sell them when price is crashing as price can bounce back at any point of time.

That is right. I bought some in the past few days to take advantage of the low price.

why can't both be the future of crypto?

They can, but truth is Bitcoin is still standing in 1st place after many rival altcoins came, ethereum is still to face its opponents.

If the block size is increased, the bitcoin will be very dominant again.

Stop complaining about bitcoin. Even though you hate it, you still have to admit that it is very great and awesome and has been used by many many people around world. People only care about ethereum when bitcoin gets stuck. When the HF succeeds, money will return to bitcoin and more and more will buy bitcoin

There is no need to complain about the bitcoin. Just switch to ETH to use it.

I don't think so if the ethereum is the future of crypto. Because as I can see now ethereum was not in the half price of bitcoin. But there's a possibility I think it takes time to happen it. Maybe it depends to the fluctuation of both coins in the market.

The market cap of ETH is more than 50% of bitcoin now.
LOL. What are you talking about? It is clearly that Bitcoin marketcap is higher than ethereum. Take a look again please. Do not try to make yourself as a fool here

Bitcoin market cap is currently at $39.8 billion USD

Ethereum market cap is $17.4 billion USD

So the market cap of Ethereum is 43.7% of Bitcoin.  Not that far off from your friend's approximation above.

yeah it's different 7 point to called more than 50%. Not too far but market cap of bitcoin still higher. Many people predict that ethereum will collapse bitcoin in the cryptocurrency world in the future, in my point of view it's depending on how growth both of them.
If bitcoin grows stronger than eth i am sure bitcoin will be very hard to destroy eth

More people are using ETH now as the transaction fee is much lower.

Nobody really knows the future, but to be safe buy some eth and other alts. Spread your eggs people.

ETH could be a good hedge. If the bitcoin is in trouble, it might rise.

Re: Bitcoin or gold?

I will prefer to invest in both of them as you cannot rely only on single form of investment so its always good to invest in multiple products to divide the risks so even if one fails you can expect some profits from the other one.
yeah there always a good and bad side on anything ,
include investment , really you can not choosing both investment ,
and the real problem here is not on that matter ,
but more to what is better among them? and i will say it is bitcoin , soon or later gold could be outdated in tech age.

There are many people who don't believe in innovative technology and will prefer to go with traditional ways of investment and their first choice will be always gold and even if bitcoin becomes more popular in future I don't think that people will stop investing in gold.

If the price of bitcoin keep on rising due to the general adoption, I think people will invest in it.

This is not the right time to sell bitcoins as price can go higher in next couple of weeks or months so its good to hold them and I will sell some of them only when it will reach $1500 or else I am happy in holding them for a long term.
yeah you are right that its not good time to sell your bitcoin because bitcoin price will be more rise in coming months and i am also sure that bitcoin price will be reach to $2000 at the month of December.
yes its good time to hold your bitcoin because bitcoin will be more profitable for us in the future because bitcoin going to precious day to day.

That is the reason I keep most of the coins. I only sell to pay for electricity.

Sell or Wait ?  Well here is a simple formula. Hurry in waiting and delay in selling bitcoin. I never use my bitcoins except for those which are absolutely necessary to spend to fulfill an urgent need.

That is right. We should keep the bitcoin for the long term. The price will rise a lot in  the future.

I should sell now, because ETF will be dissaproved. Just wait 2 weeks. Then buy  again.

I see that you have a profit if it sells bitcoin at that time, because at that time the price of the bitcoin is still stable ($ 1000), but now the price of the bitcoin far more $1000 and I have confidence in the next week or next month price bitcoin can reach $1200. Just wait and see the results, hopefully very fun

I think it is better to wait for a few more months to sell.

I was new to BTC trading and made a mistake in January, so sold my few bitcoins for 800$, now i just want an opportunity to buy it back and hold for long.
Can we expect a correction to less than 1k$ in near weeeks, months?
Ouch, typical panic sell.. Grin How could you do it after you saw that btc was over $1100 already in January and everyone predicted it will come back above $1000 within month or two? (I know, it's easy to be smart ass after "the battle" Cheesy)
Honestly, I think there may be some correction back to $1000 in a near furute, but I don't believe it would come back to $800.

To be honest, it is better to hold the bitcoin for long term.
