I need to see command line that demostrates that it worked in 4.x but does not work now.

I tested, miner down on try to create DAG (only in solo, on stratum all fine)
Setting DAG epoch #10 (I mine EXP) and then crash

what OS do you have, and what error do you get?!
You will need to install libdb for example and correct version of boost (1.48 or higher)
also try to this command: make -f makefile.unix USE_UPNP=- this removes the requirement of having the lib for UPNP installed..

thye sync multipool uses Ubuntu 14.04 LTS as well, i can send you my 64 bit build.. will put is somewhere on dropbox/megasync and send you the link

i opened a ticket and the support said:
"Thank you for getting in touch with us about your deposit.
I apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. The IOC wallet has been taken offline temporarily. Our technical support team is working on an update and we are unable to view deposits, process withdrawals, or generate a deposit address. Once wallet is out of maintenance mode, all pending transactions will post in the order that they are received.
We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we get the wallet back online and get the coins moving to your account.
If you have further questions, please feel free to connect.".
you guys should just stop using Cryptsy in general. That exchange is managed by a bunch of idiots. For example, no matter how many times they have been contacted about the viacoin wallet upgrade about 4 days ago, they still havent upgraded it.
I agree. This kind of problem is not first and 100% not last for Cryptsy.

but still 0 out of 6 Confirmations since yesterday

Bad news: it can take a lot of time to find 86400 block, depends of part of new wallets and matured coins on balance (1-12 hours)
Good news: after that difficulty retargets and all will work fine
Since exhanges updated own wallets, there is no way to back on old chain even its find new blocks.

I'm worried about this; 18 minutes and only old version gets blocks. That means majority of the coins are on old wallets. We might be forced to downgrade and postpone the interest halving.

Yes, I don't like it either, but we might be forced to do that. The height of the old chain is already 86441 blocks.
And it will not stop till anybody use old wallet, it is normal situation

i update my other wallets - perhaps this will help because they are on other ip´s so new Connections appear and this will help

The reason why we stuck is low number of NEW wallets but high difficulty. Current number of NEW wallets cant find block fast while diff is high. As soon we find block diff will retarget and blocks start to find in normal speed
