I have 10 of them since something like 5 months. 2 hashing boards are dead from 2 different R4 so I mixed the 2 remaining working boards to make 1 complete R4.
6 controller boards also dead from electrical shutdown. I purchased some replacement S9 controller boards from Bitmain, reflashed them with R4 firmware and it works good.
Last week we had high winds and small tornados (really rare here), some tree broke and then we had an electrical shutdown, and 2 more controller boards died. I had only 1 replacement boards in hands so I connected 1 hashing board on an other R4, and the other hashing board also to an other R4. Original wires are long enough without modification. So I have 2 controller boards that control each 3x R4 hashing boards. Works really good. You have to keep the broken controller board plugued for the fan so your hashing boards doesnt fry.
R4 are not reliable at all and it doesnt worth it to send them to warranty. But... we already made profit on them even with a lot of dead boards so we don't really care if they die now.

I havent tried the API access for S9. I gave it a try on one miner to test it and now the miner is showing Disconnected in the program. The miner is working good on the pool. Updated to 2.4
I tried different combinaisons of rules, it always says OK in the list but I can't get the miner reconnected to the program.

W:192.168.2.160,W:127.0.0.1
W:127.0.0.1/32
w:192.168.2.160

What I'm doing wrong?
The second configuration looks best, as long as 192.168.2.160 is the IP of your Windows computer. Is that the case? Thanks for the reply. I tought it was the miner IP and not the computer IP. It works now.

We purchased some R4 to test them.. 1 of 16 boards died after 2 days. The others are running strong since 5 weeks. Knocking wood. We will not purchase R4 again.
If someone want the faulty hashing board to test it and find a solution to repair them, the board is already out of the miner. S9 controller can hash with R4 firmware I've tested it.

Yup, I've tested it. And it works.

We are using Awesome miner in our facility and it works really good. Support is also excellent.

That miner will probably work, as all standard compliant miners works with Awesome Miner.
