Got a couple of my Single SCs last week, and found my first block ever! 714M difficulty! I also have a new AC unit being shipped to me, 10,000 BTU because these are running pretty hot (it was 95 degrees F out this day). Next up, running 2 new 20 amp breakers for room for expansion once all my other equipment gets here! Grin

Hidden behind LCD screen is my Raspberry Pi running minepeon distro.

Whats that small black box connected to the ATX connector of the PSU? Just a switch or some kind of power distributor? Got a link?

It's a PSU tester to turn it on. If I ever need to turn it off I use the switch on the back of the PSU. Got it here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/370598121861?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Got a PCI-E extender because my GPUs were way too close and the top one was getting too hot. One of my BFL singles isn't running atm due to a bad power brick. Buying some cables from Cablez: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=74397.0 Smiley The Delta AFB1212 fan in my window moves some serious air and really keeps my room at a perfect temperate. It can get loud at 100% so I use SpeedFan to keep it around 75% speed.

Looks like the pool is down? For some reason bfgminer won't kick over to my backup pool either.

Any chance someone could TL;DR where we are? I went back pages and pages and most of it is off topic garbage that has nothing to do with HF and the court case. Is there anything we, the creditors, need to do (besides filing the claim a while ago)? Is there any expected time frame on how much longer this court case will draw out?

I have done a fresh install of ubuntu 14.04 server. Can anyone has any idea why in my ip adress appear only apache page and not that i have setup?

http://192.3.52.176/

For some reason they changed the directory to /var/www/html instead of /var/www

I am doing this from memory right now so it might not be 100% correct, but you need to modify the path. Something like this:

Code:
sudo vim /etc/apache2/sites-available/000-default

Change DocumentRoot I think it is from /var/www/html to /var/www

Then restart apache

Code:
sudo service apache2 restart

EDIT: Regarding Linux distribution, we always use the latest. Never had problems. Are you using a normal computer or some RaspPi or Beaglebone for the Linux Setup?

Tried it on both a regular laptop and a RPi. I suspect the RPi is out of date with the drivers, but the laptop I had fully updated with ubuntu and all of the bfgminer dependencies, so I am not really sure what's up with it.

The images you show are actually hashing at 680GH not 620GH (For some reason, the Job-Rate is shown less than Nonce-Rate in Bfgminer, you might want to confirm this with your pool).

Yeah you are correct, the pool is showing 680gh/s.

This is the custom-build of bfgminer version 4.2.0 (For Windows).
Please try and let us know if it works and everything is OK.

Regards,

Works great on my Windows 7 machine. Just curious, which distribution of linux are you using? I was trying it on Ubuntu 14.04.1 when I was having those issues. Could it possibly be a driver issue causing it not to work on mine?

Spoke to soon. It runs for awhile and then quits.

By any chance are you getting errors like these? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=626361.msg8703962#msg8703962

I am having to run mine from a windows 7 machine because my linux ones keep crashing.

After some troubleshooting, it seems Morblias's root issue is a corrupt USB packet which the Monarch firmware is failing to recover from without being reinitialised.

Nasser, it all starts when a WX gets a "ERR:SIGNATURE" - from that point on, all commands are considered invalid.
Edit: Or more accurately, it appears as if "ERR:INVALID COMMAND" is just being flooded back forever, with or without another command...

We have never faced this in the many boards we tested in lab. I would suspect a weak solder joint somewhere, or some issue with this board which went undetected.

@Morblias: You could send this board for replacement. Please let me know if you do so and when so I can accelerate the process and also see what's wrong with this board.
However, if you have the possibility of testing this card on another computer, it would be very helpful, as the issue may come from the actual computer / driver that you're using.

Thanks,
Nasser

I tried it on my RPi (with minepeon) and ubuntu 14. Both came up with those same errors. Then I tried it on a windows 7 64 bit machine, and this happens, except it continues to hash after the errors. On the linux ones it would just stop hashing completely, but the windows one continues around 620gh/s. I found another USB cable and tried that also with no luck. Still happens on all of the computers. 620gh/s isn't too bad though, so I might just leave it on the windows machine.

Minepeon noob here. How do you update BFGMiner from within Minepeon?

SSH into it, hit q to exit to shell. type the following:

Code:
wget http://luke.dashjr.org/programs/bitcoin/files/bfgminer/latest/bfgminer-4.7.0.txz
tar -xvf bfgminer-4.7.0.txz
cd bfgminer-4.7.0
./configure
make
mv /opt/minepeon/bin/bfgminer /opt/minepeon/bin/bfgminer.old
cp bfgminer /opt/minepeon/bin/bfgminer
sudo reboot

Do I just start that with ./bfgminer --debug? Does it throw the log file into the bfgminer directory then? I will give that a shot and let you know when it happens again. Also, any idea roughly how hot we can run the Monarchs? It is showing 56C right now, so it doesn't seem too bad.

Any idea why my Monarch would keep doing this? It hashes for a while, sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes an hour, then starts outputting this:

Any idea what I am doing wrong here?

Fresh install of ubuntu 14, tried this:

Code:
sudo apt-get install build-essential autoconf automake libtool pkg-config libcurl3-dev libudev-dev
git clone https://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer
cd cgminer
sudo ./autogen.sh
sudo ./configure --enable-bflsc
sudo make
sudo make install
cgminer

It shows the following trying to run my BFL Monarch:

BitForceSC detect (3:3) failed to initialise (incorrect device?)
USB init, open device failed, err -3 you don't have privilege to access BAS device 3:3

Do i have to upgrade bitcoind to the last version or it doesn't matter? And how i do that?

It uses the PPA, so simply typing this will update it to the latest:

Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
bitcoind stop
bitcoind start

30GB is cutting it close right now. Not sure how much longer these will last:

Code:
root@Morblias:~# df -h
Filesystem      Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/simfs       30G   27G  3.5G  89% /
